When can we finally nuke North Korea off the face of the planet?

Since this topic has kinda been derailed, let me point something out in line with the OP.

North Korea does have a large military, but people forget about it's most significant ally...

China.

Without China, North Korea wouldn't even exist.

Without China, North Korea would be dirt poor.

Without China, North Korea has no hope to win a war.

China has the largest standing military. (100+million the last time i heard). I doubt they're doing nothing.

China's economy will stand up on it's own. Much of the world depends on China.

China's food supply might be the only thing in question.

North Korea I think is more of a puppet to start a war honestly. All that anyone has needed to start a war with anyone is a lame excuse (Taliban in Iraq anyone?), and this could very well be the excuse. You attack my ally, I attack you. (Exactly what caused WW1)

North Korea might be overstepping its bounds as far as it's power to conquer goes. However I don't think they're bluffing.

North Korea IS dirt poor. They're stealing trains from China because they can't afford to repair their own :-/

I wish more would consider the problems of nukes on the planet and chemical weapons but nooo.. stupid greed for power... oh well.. hopefully if things happen I'll die a quick death.

I have a feeling that the OP wasn't talking about using nuclear weapons as much as bomb the shit out of them. On a forum for a game in which the word Nuke is synonomus with "throw lots of elemental spells" I would think that would be obvious.

Masa = troll. Go die.

To Galaika:
We have the right to carry Nukes, they are unstable and do not. Isn't it great by their little "demonstration" how they could have fed MILLIONS of people instead?
Kim Jung Ill = totally insane. He has NO sanity aside "me rich, country poor and starving, nuuuuuuuuuuke" he's nuts. Period. I hope we flatten the country. It's going to go down eventually, may as well hit them now.

basically, today or yesterday N korea launched 2 short range missles and one long range missle. they landed in the sea of japan. this could be seen a couple different ways. either failed attempts at an attack or just an example of the ability that they have.

They also launced a highly technological ballistic missle that would be able to reach the U.S in under 33 minutes, but exploded shortly after it was launched, according the U.S spy satelites.

Quite frankly, we won't be able to launch a payload over North Korea until a war started. Want someone to blame? I believe the U.N is sitting right there.

If I were a president of a country who in spite of disarming their nuclear warheads, I would send a Hydrogen Bomb over there, and then a Nuclear Payload (Apparently you need to launch a nuclear explosion to trigger the Hydrogen Bomb??), and wipe the whole region off the face of the Earth. But of course, we'd evacuate the South Koreans, 'cause they kicked ass in the 2002 World Cup.

China can also move away, because they hate the North Koreans just as much as we do.

Kim Jung has actually been considered one of the brightest men in Asia for the most part. The guy is actually brilliant when it comes to politics and econmics. It's just his greed and lust for power that percieves him to be the bastard of Asia.

Hitler was also a military genious. Crazy doesn't dictate stupidity.

Nuking anybody is a bad idea, but like I said, I doubt the Op meant Nuke literally.

How was Saddam a lunatic? Were you living in Iraq? Were you an Iraqi? Funny, my neighbors are Iraqis and so are my classmates.. most of them said Saddam was a good president, and the only president that's able to make Iraqis work together.
This somewhat ties in with the report I quoted on page 2, post 2. It's difficult to base your judgement strictly on what you see on TV; while american (in all fairness, any other free country could be used in place here) news stations are not supposed to be biased, and usually are not. However they need to worry about ratings, and thusly may be cutting / padding some pertinent information.

How do we know that what we see on TV about [Iraq] is actually what's happening? Replace [Iraq] with any other global topic, and it's easy to see how so many people have misconstrued views that contrast actual happenings.

Not to say you can't trust the news; as I said they usually try to be fair and bash on everyone equally. Just something I try to note when I see station X saying country/person Y did this tragedy/miracle that changed the result of topic Z.

Kim Jung Il has a severe case of short person complex. He uses lifts in his shoes?!?!? LOL. Reminds me of that Seinfeld where Kramer's short person friend uses lifts. It's common knowledge that Kim was born in Siberia but "Officially in N Korea", he was born on the highest mountain of N Korea, at which time a double rainbow appeared along with a new bright star in 1941. N Korea later changed his year of birth to 1942. Maybe he's feeling a little old?

Edit: Yeah just wanted to add that I don't really want to Nuke N Korea. The consequences of any nuclear warfare would be disastrous I believe. N Korea said they have nukes and our intelligence reports that they could have as many as 6 crude nukes. Nothing that could be launched at the moment with their technology but eventually they will be able to.

I'm completely ignorant on this, but I seem to recall a couple of years ago that H-Bombs were the so-called 'perfect WMD'. It drops, pops, and destroys only living cells - all buildings, structures, etc remain perfectly unscathed. Sounds pretty far-fetched, but believable given current weapons technologies.

Can anyone verify / deny that? I honestly have zero knowledge on it.

H Bombs are still nuclear bombs. A bombs use fission where as H Bombs use Fusion (which is over 1000 times as powerful as the nukes dropped on japan). In the 50's we tested these on some islands and they just vaporized the islands. These had tons of radiation and lots of people in the area were affected by these. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but they can use fuse different materials together, and depending on what they do, you can get rid of a lot of the radiation (neutron bombs i think) or use materials that produce sick amounts of radiation (dirty bombs).

Not a troll, but more of a human. I'm just literally pissed off with people with shallow mentality that can only use violence to deal with complicated matters. In summary, the ones that should be wiped, shouldn't be the N. Koreans but people with retarded IQs who believe war is the solution to everything.

But like I said, I'm confident the USA won't lift its finger to invade N. Korea.. Its foreign policy is obvious...

H-Bombs are essentially super-powerful Nuclear Bombs which as Kyle said, use Fusion to create the explosion. The weapon you're talking about is called a Netron Bomb, which is essentially just like normal nuclear device without the explosion. I'm pretty sure that all of the countries with the capability to research and possibly creates these bombs decided that it was a very bad idea. Imagine: I bomb the shit out of your country, everyone's dead. Couple years later I move in with a perfect city structure.

Nuclear war is a big fucking redline I don't want to cross.

Thanks for the clarification on h-bombs.

Bad idea, definitely... was there actually an agreement where research would not proceed on them though? If not, hell even if there was, it's probably already well underway. I can't see any of today's superpowers completely ignoring the chance of having something that powerful, even as a "defensive weapon".

The problem with neutron bombs is that their effective range is quite small. The air supposedly absorbs the neutron energy and drops the energy by a factor of 10 every 500m. So you'd need a pretty damn big bomb for mass annihilation. These would mostly be used on tanks, ships, etc. where there were large concentrations of people in a small area.

Funny, my neighbors are Iraqis and so are my classmates.. most of them said Saddam was a good president, and the only president that's able to make Iraqis work together. Your original justification of war, was admitted to be wrong, by none other than your President... if you wanted to right what was wrong, you would've looked to countries such as Israel that's oppressing the Palestinians, but instead, USA is backing Israel, providing weapons of mass destruction and closing a blind eye everytime they commit an inhuman act against humanity.

Oh and don't worry.. N. Korea won't be nuking me anytime soon. :) My country somehow have been having a good relationship with most of the international communities, promoting peace. In fact, I think we're on a neutral stand on this matter. I'll be worried, if I were you though.

Saddam captured Kurds and infected with bio warfare weapons which killed them, He then says that his goal is to rid USA of "non-believers" or non Muslims by killing them, he doesn't accept reality he is trying to warp it to suit his needs. Bush has problems, but Saddam isn't far off either.

He is using Islam as a front as well to kill innocent people...
