When is it time to leave an endgame shell?

When it stops being fun. Only you can truly decide.

Who doesn't have multiple 75s in this day and age?
Actually there quite a few people that don't. Heck, there people that don't even have 1 75 job there stuck in the 60's and get bored stage.

What would people in the 60s be doing in endgame (see: topic title)? >_>

you can get into sky at 60, dynamis at 65 not saying you should, but you can. Point being that not everyone levels a job 75, then goes to level another job 75. Some people level 1 job and stick with it till that job is finished, and or content with; or get so caught up in IG / RL events that they don't have time nor gil to level another job. Just think that a remark like the one you said is really not relevant to the topic at hand.

And those types of people don't belong in an "endgame" shell.
P.S. A sky shell that takes lvl 60s isn't an endgame shell.

i know a few career BLMs. I think Ajs was one, Rampagesama is currently one. Etc etc.

I definitely know a few more career PLDs. Langly for the longest time was a career Neenjar.

You can be a career [insert job here] and still have other jobs leveled, lol. It's a matter of being flexible.

I think thats too advanced an idea for a couple people here.

Someone with one job isn't a career [job], it just means they only have the ability to do one thing. Or that they're lazy.

A career [job] person is someone who is within the top tier of what they do, both in gear and ability. People who only have a singe job will likely never play long enough to reach that level. BLM used to be the only job you could do that for, because it was used for everything, all the time. That's no longer the explicit case.

Someone who enters a shell at 60/65 has nothing to gain from sky/sea/dynamis if they're stuck on that level for a long time, and eventually leaves because of that fact.
That's why your arguement doesn't have significance.

oh contrary they do. They gain exp and time in shell so once they do get 75, gear will soon follow. Not everyone joins a shell for the gear.

You can be top of your game and not have another job. This will normally bring burnout, but is possible to do so. Some feel it not right to do a job unless you can play to the full extent, and love that one job enough to stay with it.. It a quantity vs quality issue really.

Tell that to people with multiple relics.

I'm in Encore more for the story and the fun of Dynamis. The gear is an added extra bonus for me. You know what I'll still be there too once I get the relic. Cause it's fun to help other obtain their goals as well.

I also know plenty of people who only have one job and nothing else. It's not cause their lazy. It's cause they found the job that fits them and they like. Allows them to do multiple things in the game w/o having to maybe rely on others.

If you're inviting 60-65s to your "endgame" shell, you can't be taken seriously, rofl.

Obviously, but that's not the point. Not all jobs are good for everything and it just helps to have other jobs when certain situations call for certain setups.

If you can't beat maat, chances are you can't beat a god.

Honestly... this was a question of when it's proper/time to leave an endgame shell. Hellstorm, must you derail with your mindless dribble?

Its his unwritten code. Or maybe it is written and we just can't tell.

But seriously, yeah he does. He likes to go off on people he thinks are being elitist even when they're explaining why a lvl 60 doesn't belong in a sky shell.

in all honesty it wasn't a derail, all comments were on topic.

In all seriousness Marj, just because a person has 1 75 job doesn't make him lazy/inept to do other things. It is exactly how veld put it, the person found his/her nitch in the game and stuck it out.

This game has no "niche." You're not fulfilling some small market, you're just strictly less versatile, and as such, less useful, than the guy who has more jobs.

Now, this is not to say that they're bad people, or necessarily bad player, but stop trying to pass it off something that it isn't.
