Where were you, or what were you thinking the first time you got to the scene with the fireworks in the Gold Saucer? Doesn't matter who you got to go on the gondola thingy with you. xD But it was just a nice scene. Probably one of my favourites.

I was home on a snow day from school I believe when I first saw it. I got Tifa, go figure. Mainly because I shunned Aeris the first time I played through it...

Anyone else have a favorite memory of this game?
 
I enjoyed when the weapons were released, was always a cool scene.
 
The Sequence when you take a break, before heading to North Crater, and your probable deaths, and send everyone out to get their affairs in order, decide if they really want to come, say their goodbyes.
 
Man, it's been so long since I've played FFVII that I actually forget exactly when it was when I first saw the fireworks scene (I know it was 4 years ago in Guelph though). I *do* remember hating the entire Gold Saucer part of the game, it just annoyed me (save the monster fight stuff for omni-slash, that was fun).
My favourite scenes would be the one where a weapon gets its head blown off, and the other (as Oraga said) where the weapons were released. But, even after all this time, even though I've hardly glanced at FFVII for 3+ years, I still remember the Aeris (or Aerith, your pick) scene, and my reaction. I doubt anyone who's played it has forgotten. To date, it's the only time I've cried over a video game.

But yeah, the whole weapons thing at the beginning of disc 3 (i think) made me wet.
 
I was in my dorm room as a freshman in college. Yea I'm old. :old:
 
I wouldn't say this is my "favorite" moment, but it did leave a lasting impression on me. The death of Aeris scene was the most shocking thing I had seen in a game and it hit hard, ever since then, when I got to fight Sephiroth, it was fun kicking his sorry ass!
 
My first Ruby WEAPON kill without using any Summoning magic.

Ugh, what a retarded fight.
 
I thought, "What the fuck is Tifa doing here? I thought Aeris was Cloud's love interest in this game".

That was one of the great things about VII, that cutsceen was really the only love story part of the game. There's a few comments here and there, but basically, no love story in VII, and that's awesome.


My favorite memory from that game on my first play through was probably getting my gold choco after many, many, MANY, long hours of choco in-breeding.
 
My favorite was finally getting KOTR summoned after finally achieving a golden chocobo (stupid reset rinse repeat -_-;). I was like "OMGZ WHICH ONE IS GALAHAD LOLZ!!"
 
Doomtrain wasn't all that interesting... fairly boring imo :P coolest? I really can't decide.. there were tons and I haven't seen quite a few in awhile. KoTR was ok but not all that cool. Maybe Bahamut Zero, that was fairly cool. Eden was amusing lol (haven't seen that in a long time either though)

My favorite part was Junon's defensive transformation, and the firing of the cannon at Weapon.

One of my favorite scenes ever was near the beginning of 8 though. The part where you are doing your first mission, and all the boats are storming the town. that was always my favorite music.
 
I had a huge crush on Scarlet. :( I think I was still straight...can't remember!
 
Surprised none of you have said the scene where Weapon attacks Mideel, what an awesomely cool scene with Cid running down to kick ass.
 
When they fired Sister Ray to crush the barrier around the northern Cave and ended up killing Diamond Weapon.

The bit where Seph turned and walked through the fire after slaughtering Niebelhiem was cool too.

The most memorable moment ever came to me when I realized I could beat Sephiroth without pushing a button.

Pile HP+ x2 Master Cover, and an assload of counter attack on cloud, and you win first time he hits you with his wing.

When you get to the point where you just have to use omnislash on the human form of seph, if you do nothing he swings at you once, you counter attack, and win.

I thought I was l33t5a\/\/c3.
 
The walking through fire is also the most cliche FF7 scene. And beating seph with no hands, that's pretty ace.
