Why not make a poll asking who is NOT buying a token, and why. hah
 
I'm fairly certain that option #3 isn't even a viable option. If you read the fine print while you were paying for the token it said that you can only apply the token to your account once, and once you remove it you cannot a) ever put it back on and b) lose the benefits such as mog sachel

Incorrect

If you activate the token, get the satchel, then deactivate the token, you still keep the satchel.

A Characters from PlayOnline IDs that are linked to a Square Enix account will not be able to acquire a Mog Satchel after the security token has been removed. Existing Mog Satchels will not be affected.

I'm buying for both reasons. I want the inv+ but also the peace of mind of my account security is always nice. Might start playing more often on my laptop when I get this.

more security is never a bad thing. i've never been hacked & i wanna keep it that way.

Ditto. I mostly play on my xbox 360 but I would like to play more on my laptop when I get my new one. This will make me feel more sure about making the switchover.

Truthly, I've only ever had one virus which has had to make me do a complete wipe and my laptop is generally safe but all the hack stories just made me stick to my xbox lol. This will make me feel much happier when I switch over.
 
Ugh, I voted no as I have 50+ free inventory and that's without mules. It's all about space management and a slight case of OCD. Also, it's really not that hard to protect yourself.

It's not that I don't have the money, but i'm getting sick of all the little money grabs SE is having recently for all their little gimmicky items.
 
Two reasons why I'm not doing this.

One, I don't play enough to spend ANY more money than I'm already paying for my subscription, and I don't need the extra inventory space

Two, I don't trust those tokens worth anything. I've cracked the algorithm of security tokens before, it's a lot more simple than it appears and I wouldn't put it past the RMT to do it eventually either.

I've had my account hacked before, so for $10 it's a no-brainer for me. The extra inventory space is gravy on top of it.
 
I'm with Tymon on the ultimate cracking of the algorithm, I'm gonna buy it and deactivate because my password is *quite* safe now. I use every possible character type and in a completely random set. Much safer than some algorithm imo. I wonder what their policy is on if you "lose" your token? I've dealt with them before with compromised accounts and better hope you have all your info you signed up with ready.
 
Should add the option of

If it can be cracked I'd say there's better things to than to steal FFXI accounts... and looking at these clients I doubt it can be cracked.

Buying it then deactivating it for 2 reasons... I have a few people who regularly use my account if they need stuff and i dont really want to have them call me everytime and also i tend to lose stuff and dont want to have to deal with it later when i have a password i trust now.
