Well this thread isn't really directed at anyone in general since this has been happening to me since level 10.

When I get an invite to a party while lfp, that's great. when I get kicked out after running all the way there, that sucks, but shit happens.

When I find out I got kicked out because one of the members didn't like me, that's a different story...

I generally get kicked out for one of 2 reasons, A, the said member is a broswer/poster here and has a large amount of emnity towards me, and would rather not be within 40 yards of my presence. Kay, I understand that.

Or, I'm a dancer. Yeah I can understand that I guess, there are a tonne of people in this game who have never even partyed with one yet and can onyl go on the general hearsay of the mass that we suck (Which we kind of do at most levels)

Ok, but here's the thing. I'm not there to be friends with you. I'm not there to be one big happy family, to get along and hold hands and seen cheery songs about how awesome the world is. I'm there for exp. So I could give two flying fucks how much you hate me, if your forcing your party leader to go and find a new member, which can sometimes be extremely hard when its 11 in the morning, just because you dont enjoy my presence, get. over. yourself.

If you really dont enjoy my presence to the point that being in my vicinity will overbalance the fact your getting exp, go campaign or solo. You get in a party to kill IT+ mobs, to get experience chains, to get faster exp than soloing. Nowhere in that equation will how much you enjoy a persons company effect how fast you're getting exp.

the dancer argument? Yar, we do really suck at most levels and that I get. but honestly we're a very underestimated job. Compared to a bard, that can only have 2 songs at once, I can give you all an acc boost, att boost, haste, without barely lifting a finger, WHILE DDing, AND Curing better than most mages can.

And pull while I'm at it. Still not quite as good as a bard but I am sure as hell better than nothing.

So please, just because you hate me, don't be a dick to your leader and make him find someone else via threatening your little temper tantrums. Sometimes makes me wonder if you really want your exp that bad.
 
You reap the reputation that you sow, I guess. Even if they aren't directly involved with you.
Also, people remember to say who's being invited to the party. You never know whether or not Prettyflowergirl has an eternal hatred for Prettierflowergirl.
 
dnc sucks at low levels? lol. let me call up janko and backhand him for not doing a better job making my pts greater than they already were leveling nin

but to address your op, ok your job isn't as great as bard for buffs but it's a solid job concept of buffing and healing and some DoT. I've pted with a lot of good dnc but when i invite them it's under certain guidelines like when I invite any other job.

It's very sporadic, when we first get one of our abilities, IE one the the waltzes, it is EXTREMELY overpowered. It's like we get it 5 levels early. So for those levels we are incredible. Another good example is drain samba.

From levels 5 to 10 we are nigh unkillable through drain samba. but after 10 the mobs are hitting us double for our drains and it loses its effectiveness quickly. there are low points when we dont get any good abilities and we slow down, but other points when we geta brand new move and for the enxt 1-2 levels are incredibly overpowered.

So like I said, some levels we rock, other levels we suck, it varies a lot.

I'm going to kick that stupid white mage. Who the fuck needs a healing class when you can have 6 uber dd's!!!
 
I can see why these kickings would have happened.
 
You can't breed a l33t chocobo to duo with for 65k/hour while making 20 billion gil from fishing and completing a mythic for your offhand? That's too bad.
 
I'm going to be honest here. I clicked this thread because I saw Bladewind responded to it in the current thread area. Sometimes the ol' bloke makes me laugh. I read one and a half sentences and saw it was an Urat thread and just skipped right to the replies. Be less of a moron, keep your mouth shut and eventually this problem won't occur so often. Best thing for ya.

You know, TG already said it, but you could just take your own advice here instead of bitching about how people dislike you and that is the reason you're getting booted from parties.

Also, I have a hard time believing that you have this happen to you all the time.

I guess I meant that there are players out there who neither read QCDN or BG so they wouldn't know of his reputation, and therefore don't care if they party with him. I can't imagine a whole server is against one single person.

Yeh I get ya, I can just imagine how word spreads tho. I mean I tell my friends of bad players so I guess the same can happen?
 
Antdog doesn't post on here or BG, yet he's know server wide to be a joke.

He's still a shitty player with shitty gear and no hope of getting into a decent LS for any event. Oh, sorry we were talking about Antdog, meh the same applies.

Double post for elaboration-

Antdog has a reputation for being a bad player, with bad gear. Yet he still is able to accomplish things in game, which suggests to me that there are either people out there who a) have no idea about this reputation, b) know about it and just don't care or c) are his friends.

That being said, I can't believe that an entire server could possibly dislike one person so much, that said person has to stop playing the game because they cannot do anything in the game anymore because of their reputation, whether its leveling or endgame.

So no, I don't think everyone hates/dislikes Urat, though I am sure a lot of people do, and that he needs to stop making himself out to be Quetx's Number One Disliked Player, because he simply is not. The day he has to transfer or completely quit the game because he gets no invites, no mission help and no end game shells, I'll believe it.
 
So, if as many people are leaving/getting you kicked from parties as you say, you really think that they're the ones with the problem? If all those different people have an issue with you, did you ever stop and think that maybe you're the one with the problem and not them?

And, as a party leader, if I had someone in my party who was doing their shit and helping the group get good xp say he didn't want to party with someone who I knew nothing about, I'd totally respect that members wishes. There are people who I refuse to play with, so I can understand.

"Its just a game, gah..." Isn't that what you've said previously? If that is the case, it isn't about pulling 1337 xp per hour, its about having a good time. I'd much rather be in a party with friends having a good time pulling 5k per hour than in a party with a bunch of fuckwads who I can't stand pulling 30k per hour.
 
This game is very social. As alot of the aspects of it we're built to be done with multiple people. If you don't care about what people think about you. Then maybe you should be the one going to solo in campaign.

I notice a trend though. Urat seems to try to lean towards the more solo aspects of the game. Raising Chocobo's, racing them, digging them, Fishing, and Dancer as his main job. Which, as much as it can be a decent healer in PT's if played right, is more known for it's ability to solo.

But when you make a name for yourself in-game on on forums, and then ask, "Why does everyone hate me?" Maybe it's time to take a look at yourself inside.

But it's really awesome when you can have both and get 30k/hour with friends. ^_^
