Personally I build by opinion of how people perform after, you know, actually being in a party situation with them, but that's just me.

Same here, but given that we know of his track record and that others generally feel the same way, we can make very safe assumptions. Still, I'd party with the guy before I can say what partying with him is like...Because I don't have my own opinion. I am borrowing others' opinions. In this case, enough to warrant safe assumptions.

Personally when I'm leader, I hate when people find replacements for themselves. Generally because they usually just try to find someone to replace themselves, without considering the party setup or what would work/not work etc.

The worst of it all is when they find a replacement without telling the party they're leaving. When they just say "ok, I'm out. Invite Xxxx".

I actually hate it when people do that, because usually they get someone they screws with the flow of the PT, if I'm leader I prefer to find the replacement myself.



As far as your comment about JP's hating DNC's, I've been in quite a few PT's with DNC's in them that we're mostly JP since lately my EXP schedule has been weird due to my random work schedule. I've never seen JP's ever have issues with having a DNC in PT.

I'm not up on the hip and flameboard drama and past events mainly because I don't like ganging up on a person with a bunch of others but what exactly did Urat do to get such enmity against him.

1.) Self-proclaimed God of Chocobo Raising.
2.) Moink-style theories about Absolute Virtue, Pandemonium Warden, except that Moink was actually lv75 when he started theorizing about them, and Urat wasn't even lv65.
3.) Deluded about the role Dancer has in an endgame situation, and stubborn enough not to listen to good advice, even from fellow Dancers.

The list goes on, but he's a joke on QCDN and on Bluegartrls.com, and completely by his own doing.

That's up to the party leader too. If the leader wants a player to find a rep for himself (I normally opted for that), then he's asking for potential disaster.

True, but you should at the very least ASK the leader if before you rep yourself. Some leaders prefer to get the rep's themselves, or maybe other members have said something about having to leave soon too. Making it usually better off just to disband PT.

I prefer this. I usually ask the leader if they want to find a rep or if I should find one if I need to leave. I always hope that others would provide the same courtesy when I'm leading, but alas, those occurrences are few and far between.

One more major thing about Urat: seemingly to have selective reading and ignores everyone else's post to reply to one post instead, as noted above. And due to the selective or plain ignorance none of it seems to make him "get the point."

You're so naive it makes me cringe. I think maybe the problem may lie elsewhere. It seems that you're looking for excuses to avoid the simple truth. If it was a result of your bad sever reputation, you wouldn't have gotten invited. If it's because DNC sucks, you wouldn't have been invited. I think the factor that "sucks", in this equation, is you.

It seems that the real purpose of this flame was to cry about how much you're disliked, maybe in a hope to try and make people feel sorry for you. You say:

#5 I ignore most posts when A I don't really feel like replying since its either already been answered or there are 4 other posts like it and I've answered one of those.

The list goes on and on, but those are some of the big ones.

Also: tristam hit it on the nose. When I said I rep myself, I don't mean I just /sea all my level and grab someone, I ask the leader what he wants and do the searching for him, OR I go "hey I'm leaving soon and so and so is lfp, they're x job and y level, want me to rep myself with them?"

Honestly I screwed up the title tbh, I was at first aiming more towards the leaders that let a member push them around and make the decisions for them, when they were the one that wanted to start the party in the first place, then got sidetracked and ended up ranting about the pushy player instead ^_^;

you guys should actually read the OP, I dont care if people hate me, I don't care if they dont invite me to their own parties, or kick me if they lead, it's the fatc that they AREN'T the lead, NOT the party maker, yet act like they can own the party and make the leader do more work just because they don't like me.
