Why can't we all just sit around a camp fire and enjoy some camp songs and a nice block of cheese like the good ol days?

Whoa there stalker....

1) The gil sellers should not be in the game, the EULA Prohibit's the actions they partake.
2) I doubt Seaveath would do this to an actual player.
3) Seaveath earned the 40 mil through an act of wit and Vigialanteism.
4) Their fault for not paying attention.
5) They are NOT players, telling me a Gil Seller is a 'player' is like telling me a Contract Killer is a 'Legitimate Businessman'.

Granted in it's roots, Seveath's actions are indeed rooted in the concepts of a Confidence Man's actions. However the spirit is more rooted in the antics of Robin Hood, it just happens he is 'The Poor'; :D And 'the rich' he stole from is a Criminal Element.

Mmmmm, cheese...

/em shares Delite's campfire.

I never thought I would see the day when the flameboard actually defended gil sellers.... god damn you guys are bored. On a side note Go Seveath!

Well, the reason I used the Min. Wage McDonalds Employee as an example, is because do you guys honestly think the worker ants see majority of the money from IGE/Chinese-farmer sites? Heh... right. They pay bottom dollar for the gil, and sell at whatever they can to push it, and sit ontop of their mound of money as a middle man. Even the Chinese collective sites do that, and you're a fool if you think the sad hard-pressed overpopulation forced "player" is making anything worthwhile.

Most definitely, I've long understood that they make crap. I just think that fighting the tide of "gilsellers" and RMT is pointless.. it's existed in almost every MMO to date.. I can't think of one i've played where you couldn't purchase the money if you wanted to. /shrug

The forced player is barely making the money to eat on and what not.. and honestly in most games they don't bother people. This is the first one i've played where people are up in arms about RMT stuff.

We've discussed it before in Link Skaw, I think it's more the lack of resources than anything that really kills this game's economy. The common crafter can't break into the market until he's farmed millions to start with.

Yeah, if it was 40 Million to screw someone out of a minimum wage job, look out, McDonald's employees!

well it's just my opionion, I wouldn't screw someone else over for any amount of money because...uh...I care >.>

/em is cursed with a good will

You know, people take this game too friggin seriously. It's a game. This guy probably lost his job over this, but hey, it's cool. One more person to make your nike's for 14 hours at a clip.

and don't give me the ends justify the means. Every time I hear that I know someone is doing shit they shouldn't be. And unless you toss the cape, you just ripped someone off.

Fine, you win Dejavu.
now gimmie my gil!1
OMFG.jpg

Omg Why Did You Do It!!!!!!

fuckers!! you guys see what you made him dooo???

Gilsellers are not players and if he did lose his job over this.
then good.

why would he lose his job? because he is stupid?

does he deserve this job? no, because he is stupid.

life's simple facts and rules

wait.. you are asking him to drop the cape even though you, yourself, said that the increase in supply is a good thing? Don't be a fucking tard and ask for the cape to be dropped :| let's increase demand and lower supply! THAT'S FUN! Atleast ask him to drop the 40mil-expenses gil (If he can.. I never really tried.. but he could by creating a mule, sending gil to that mule and deleting the mule). Anyways...

by the way.. you people that are saying "how do you feel about screwing over a person outta their job and just making a living" and such.. THEY ARE DOING THIS AGAINST THE LAW!!! AGAINST THE TOS THAT SQUARE ENIX SET IN PLACE A LONG TIME AGO!!! Jesus christ.. you basically are saying that a crack dealer or some sorta drug lord is perfectly acceptable cause "He's just trying to make a living". God damn people..

You almost made me fall out of my chair. lol but thats not quite enough to get me to cough up the money.

Thanks for the new sig.

Alright, i'm going to reply to this.

1: Yes, he stole a high costing item from someone.
2: Yes, it was a Gilseller, but that doesn't make it right.

Would I do that if I had the chance? Yes and No.
I would sit there for a good 4 hours thinking about the right and wrong of stealing it.

I know that everyone here would do that if given the chance.
Will tossing it make things right? Hell NO!
Will keeping it make things right? Again Hell NO!
Here is something that is 100% right, he will NOT drop it for 200k. I mean come on it worth 40 mil or w/e.
One thing that Gilsellers do to fuck up the system is keep all the gil the get and sell it all in a large sum. I don't think this guy will do that, so it won't completely mess things up.

Doing something like this is all a matter of morals. Like a messed up robin hood complex.

He will must likely give it all back in small sums. like some sweet ass equipment and so on.
We can reply in this thread ALL day going back and forth debating weather it was right or wrong. but lets get it straight he won't toss it, he will sell it, and yes it was wrong, but on some aspects it was right. he fucked over someone how ruines the game for people by jacking prices and making updates happen when gods are in NA prime time.

So just STFU about this shit.

That's just my two cents.
