The fact remains that there are plenty of ways to get seals/crystals/other materials that have absolutely nothing to do with partying. If you rely THAT MUCH on BCNMs to make your gil, maybe you need a better income generator.

And as for seals, in 55 levels of SMN, 37 levels of WHM and assorted other jobs to 10/20/etc, I've got sitting in my safe about a stack of Beastman and maybe 6 Kindred. I figure with the (few) orbs I've bought I've earned less than 200 seals in the course of all my leveling. So to be honest, I haven't been on the 'right side of the die' when it comes to BC/KC's. What I want out of my parties is XP - anything else that falls my way is just a happy little bonus.
 
Yes there are many other ways to get seals and crystals but what im talkin about is farness it it was up to me id let the seals rotate around the party so everyone gets some just at some point after noticing it gets really frustrating to never have it work to you advantage slighly. I only posted to try and make ppl more aware the some ppl pay attention to these things like seal drops and who they acually goto. so all i ask is that if u noticed u get 5-7 seals drops just offer to share a bit more seal are extremely valuable and if u could sell them most ppl wouldnt be able to afford them. while youll never see me bitch and complain again in a xp party dont forget that i do notice that.
so if someone points that out and they want some seals dont bitch them out just let them get 1-2 and keep the party going

Red, you've got the wrong idea about this whole post I think. The post is about somebody setting quartermaster SO that nobody else could get beastmen's seals. If he had been willing to lot fairly amongst those that wanted them, as had been my suggestion, there would've been no problem. Also, it's not as if we were there for a while and he was getting the short end of the stick, as he did this after only 4 or 5 kills.
 
I know thats wasnt what this post was about in the first place but I was mainly just planting a seed with hope it may slighly change things and make ppl more aware but ive said what i wanted to say so ill be on my way ty for anyone who acually take my post into consideration

Seals are a lot more valuable than those crappy beetle jaws. If seals were to be tradable, they would worth at least 3k each. 6 jaws is like what, 6k? You got 12k and the other 5 got 6k, that's not even remotely fair.

First off, PLD is desired for specific BCNMs and can be the best possible tank depending on the situation. Also, I'm leveling RNG to do runs of BCNM and hunt NMs. Don't tell me that just because my main job is the "desireable" job for these fights, that I don't deserve seals to use on other jobs or even the occasional PLD fight. Also, stop arguing that you gave away that crap, I don't care about your actions after you set quartermaster. Those small items are drops in the bucket compared to the value of seals. It's not that you "got all the drops", it's that you set quartermaster against the consent of your ENTIRE party because of your own GREED. Stop trying to defend yourself because you're just opening yourself up to attacks. If you notice, you're the only person arguing against me.
 
With all due respect, you screwed them out of 4 seals, that's 10% of your orb. If you want "fair" and all that bullsh-!t, divide 10% of your orb's winnings to the party (50k). Otherwise, just deal with the fact that you're a selfish turd who apparently was so cheap they thought the "Hooked on Phonics" demo works as well as the full one. :roll:
 
Not everyone even knows what quartermaster is or how it works because it is something you simply never use in xp parties. And you almost never ever turn it on for yourself. The only time I use it is to get drops for someone else so that I don't have to pass the item and they don't have to lot it. call me lazy, but I've had to repeat a PLD AF2 fight because the person didn't get the drop before we escaped out. So there are times when its good. XP party is NEVER one of those times. And what makes it worst is that the PT wasn't okay with it. The PT doesn't exist to serve you, farm for you, w/e. You are together for the mutual benefit of the PT and you're not the only one who wants/needs seals. They were extremely nice not to disband or replace you.

Fact is, you stole those BS's and that's BS. And please don't make the excuse of your job is expensive. It's not the job of an xp party to fund your leveling. I'm a nin and have to pay huge sums of gil for not just tools but also equipment. But do I charge PTs for the amount of shihei I use for them? No, because its not their job to make gil for me. And if you choose not to camp NMs or farm as much as the rest of us I don't see why someone else should give up seals because of your choice to make gil in such a limited manner. To me, that's the same as going AFK and leeching XP.

Then you try to shift blame on PLD for not holding hate. PLD's are probably the best at managing hate on their own but that does not mean that you can go all out as a DD whenever you feel like it. Hate management is part of the job of the entire PT. Even a WHM can get hate if he/she cures over what hate the tank is able to generate. So its your own fault and responsibility if you pulled too much hate. But virtually all RNGs pull hate at some point. That's why they sub nin.

You were wrong. It's just that simple.

Actually, bruce's statement is quite true. For the people that don't know math, 6/3 does, indeed, equal 3. To the rest of us, it equals 2.

Who said anything about PLD tanking a BCNM? What I said was they are the best at managing their own hate. We all know that there are mobs that PLDs, as great as they are, cannot tank and there are mobs that Ninjas cannot tank too. So you adapt to what's needed. But tanks aren't the only ones who need to adapt. DDs need to adapt to having a thf in the PT or not having one. That involves knowing when to pull off those high dmg WSs. It's nothing against you personally. I'm just stating a very basic and logical defense for PLDs in general. Only if the PT was doing everything right would I suspect the PLD was at fault for losing hate.

But like I said, there's a reason why RNGs sub nin. :idea:
