WTF ...............

lol try again.

i find it funny you think the two have something to do with each other. and im pretty sure we speak the same language.

Your eloquent arguements are astounding sir, I tip my hat to your witty remarks. No but really...

Oh, and we don't speak the same language as you, WE speak the same language as Britain. Nothing we have was adopted from you.

He's saying that everyone who speaks English is not speaking American. YOU are speaking English, we are speaking English, your country did NOT (no matter what fucked up way you decide to pronounce things, or spell things) create the English language.

really? wow thanks so much for explaining that, i thought for sure americans created the english language. although now that you mention it, it does seem kinda weird that we didnt name the language american instead of english.

I was the one who brought it up and yes I know it came from England. I'm also aware of the dual language in French Canada. No one said America created it, rather I pointed out an inherant likeness of bordering countries sharing the same language... like Germany and Austria.

We speak American, ...... In America!

Fair enough, I admit my mistake. I'm just used to Americans bashing Canadians in this post and I got defensive.

Edit: Acutie, it's kind of dumb to say we haven't adopted anything from America, because we have, in great lengths. Watching Canadian TV is atrocious.

As all the yanks have so adamantly pointed out here, the media means nothing and America is not accountable for it, so obviously neither are we :)

Canadian TV is like British TV. It looks like it's being filmed with a home video camera. You know... not airbrushed, the people look like people. It's also really grainy.

American TV is nice and pretty. A woman could have red blotches all over her face and the world would never know.

Speaking of the British... anyone notice how sexy Rob Pattinson is??

Just sayin.. :sex:

6teen and Total Drama Island for the win, Zeph.

I'm fuckin' hooked on those shows :|

Those shows are pretty good.

Canadian Cartoons are pretty bad ass, and some shows like Corner Gas are totally awesome. However, CBC is cutting back on funding so we're losing a lot of our Canadian programming anyways :dur:

Corner Gas is great!

BBC has one saving grace, Top Gear. I <3 that show, so funny. :)

Edit: It does rip on Americans at least once per show, but it's still freaking hilarious. ;)
