monk

What would you guys consider a gimp setup... I have a 75 MNK and I will be honest I don't have the best gear but I dont "think" I am gimp. Here we go, Weap - Wagh B. Head - Ohat or Turban Neck - Spectacles or Chiv Chain Ear1 - Minuet earing Ear2 - +5 attk earing (cant remember the name) Body -...

I'm currently leveling monk which is level 31 at the moment, and i just wanted to know if any other monks could give me advice or tips to take monk from my current level to 75. I have war leveled to 37, which i can take monk straight to 75. I know alittle about monk from partying with them at...

after 8 hours in 1 day of camping gallant and punisher for fuma and o kotes i recieve both of them with the help of Berden and xandy. off to 75 mnk :P thx guys

Ok, I've tried searching past threads, but it's tough to get to a relevant topic with keywords like "monk gear." Basically, I'm asking for recommendations for monk gear from 73 to 75. I've just come back to the game, and I'm playing somewhat casually, meaning I don't do a lot of endgame. I'm...

i have this question in the back of my head going on.. now that i am 37 on monk which i plan on taking to 75 :P my obvious sub is warrior. is it or is it not a must that i have to level ninja to sub that? mind you i have 0 desire to do this due to the gil for shihei (sp), the low level grind...

so my mind is just going crazy after watching Fight Club and Saw for the First Time back to back, i decided to look up some gear and see what would be considered the best Counter Gear. this is what i came up with: http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/profile.xml?170082 now what i'm curious about is if...

did a search for this and couldnt find nothing from today to whenever they were released. but wondering for some clarification. last thing i have to merit on mnk :/ formless strikes obvously nice to have at least one merit in, but what dose additional merits do by "increaseing it's effect"...

just finished all of monk af im 60 atm and can wear it all YAY! congrats to everyone that helped me and this is my second full set of AF

I'm an up-and-coming monk, and I'll be meriting with my ls as soon as I knock Maat's teeth out . . . Anyway, naturally I'm very excited about the monk stuff, but does anyone have any data on it? I'm especially curious about Formless Strikes. I've tried to be patient and wait for it to surface...

Hello, Every time I level, I check AH for something better than garrison hose, but I can't find anything compelling. What should I be wearing as monk 68? Help would be appreciated; thanks!

I am a level 67 monk ( soon to be 68 ), and I need advice on my Maat fight. So far, my only thinking has been to use the Opo-opo necklace/sleep potion strategy to take tp to 100, blink band/reraise hairpin, boost x 10 or so, chi blast, raging fists, icarus wing, raging fists, hundred fists...

Okay, so... It's not a finished piece. I made the mistake of stopping, then taking a break. I never complete a drawing if I do that. ~.~ But! This is Ereshkigal and Ikari~ hopefully the next drawing to come out is none other than the local delevel stud Cythe. If he ever gets me the screenshot I...

I posted this on FFXI Vault awhile back..I figured I would share it here too :D Our Static party leader Chulhoon expressing his 'love' for Gobbies

Someone please help me. I cannot get the macro right for MNK AF hand and O kote switching. I want to gather tp with O kotes, equip the AF hands for boost, then re-equip the O kotes for atk. Can anyone give me the correct commands?

There's probably a very apparent reason for this...but why all the sudden interest in monk? Monk has been and always will be my favorite job...and I know that end-game LS's take a liking to monks..but why now of all times? Why not in 04-05, even earlier? Everytime I flag up and do searches on...

I used to love hundred fists. I used to call it my "free ass-saving" every two hours. I'm starting to wonder. Against anything IT and above, this is a great way, even with subtle blow, of giving the mob a load tp. This has worked against me on ZM BC fights, an Eba fight in Dynamis-Phomiuna...

Ok, perhaps I've merely had bad luck, but is there a good strategy out there for this? I've had a really hard time fighting this ENM. I've tried once with a focus on evasion gear and once with a focus on str/attack gear, and lost both times. The rolls seem to go to the Fantoccini more often...

Here I am now I am lvl 75 MONK. My first LVL 75 So i am Happy now. I will now concentrate on getting good equipement and do some event and god events and help people I know and who helped me. I will Use this thread to thank some people without them I think I would not still be playing...

Well, Everyone knows my original FFXI parody Excimnem- just level it. and a long time ago i started another song and finished it, but i never released it. Why? i was busy alot...and i needed to record an intro skit for it....that i never got around to. But the song itself is done. and here it is...
