Hmm. not really, considering my post was about the thf knife invictus purchased. (Look at the name of the thread)

Calling my off-topic post is most defintely on-topic. Yeah, I was mentioning the second post... y'know the one I quoted? Whoda thunk. But then again, a lot of my posts are off-topic anyway. Touche you swash buckling scallywag.

Yeah see you just lost your groove. Consistency man. Go balls out or keep them between your legs all the time. One or the other.

I left my wit in my other pair of pants, along with my second face. For a guy who praises the modern man, you sure are full of angst.

No angst was me telling cubs that I no longer have to be reminded that you can't trust people. The previous was me insinuating that you have no testicles, which is not so much angsty as it is provoking.

Ok I don't know what the hell I'm still typing for tonight, so we'll pick up tomorrow or not. Honestly I was going to let it all slide after page 12 but friggin cubs threw me off.

Awww, but it was just getting to the good part...

There's a big difference between being a 'gunner,' as you put it, and seeking a challenge. I can't imagine Dynamis is very challenging for you - or really, for any shell nowadays. These areas are what, 18 months old? Nearly 2 years? I'd be outright embarassed if a team of 40+ couldn't beat any of the cities handily AND have at least half an hour, 45 minutes to farm the zone. You say you take 50+. Sometimes a full 64. All I see from that is more people going home unhappy due to not getting an AF drop or their coin take being quite low.

Now consider the new zone drops. Relic +1 aside, those belts and capes are fucking FANTASTIC pieces. Nearly all of them are the best you can get for that slot, and they seem to drop from standard mobs.

There's really no excuse not to be past Diabolos anymore, and a dedicated effort would get your shell there (or close to it) in a weekend. If getting Relic pieces is the main goal, then neglecting some of the endgame best back and waist pieces for your shell in lieu of bumrushing the cities for armor that, for many jobs, is inferior to alternatives seems silly. Not only that, but you wouldn't have to turn as many people away - split into 2 groups of 32-36 and go in simulaneously. Maybe once a month, instead of the same old Jeuno or Sandy.

Invictus bought a knife? This is news to me.

And why the hell would you trust anyone in this game? It's one of the main reasons I've never been truly disappointed with this game - because I've never had anyone take advantage of me or my work. The first day I got my Lu Shang someone in my first LS asked if he could borrow it to skill up. I dumped all my gil into buying moat carp to get that rod and he wanted it.

Well fuck you buddy, you aren't touching my Lu without collateral. It didn't matter that he was the leader of a shell I'd been in since I was a 13WHM with no sub in a party with him in Maze of Shakrahmi. Loyalties get strained when you're staring a free 4 million gil (at the time, 9-10 mil now) in the face.

It's not that I'm unwilling to help other people. I'm just unwilling to help other people who either won't appreciate what I'm doing for them or treat me like an NPC there to fulfill their goals.

We have a sale in motion now from what I heard tonight. We'll probably have one within the week ^.~

There is no strategy out there for beating them, therefore Pere won't do them. Going out and having an actual challenge, figuring out your own strategy, and not knowing what's gonna happen, that's not how pere works. He does the same old pulls, and his strategy sessions involve scanning the web to find out what other people have posted about strategy. Not sure how he calls it a challenge, dynamis comes down to half a dozen people doing there job, and the rest not fucking up.

Naw P, I wasn't two-faced. I heard you removed everyone's lotting rights in BoL. I'm in BoL. It wasn't meant to be. It's not you, it's me, but I hope after this we can still be friends *tear*.

I handle all lotting issues (I thought you should know =P). No BoL member's rights were removed, and no one's right to lot will ever been removed, if pere or anyone in the linkshell ever told me "remove person's X lotting" I'd flat out say no, you'd have an easier time paying off the actual person to pass stuff than getting me to cheat someone out. If you meet the attendance requirments of course =P (which are recorded and listed online, and anyone can double check their history for accuracy)

Yay for misinformation!

Are you arguing semantics here? Put on hold vs removed, either way you got pere saying that someone who has met the attendance policy was told they couldn't lot.

If he had attendance, I would allow him to lot. I was never informed on this, and every time something drops I always read out the exact lot list in lschat. I personally wouldn't allow it, and the fact I wasn't told mean if anything it was nothing more than a threat against calbrone, one that wouldn't of been fufilled.

Also in my honest oppinion, if cal was planning to start a ls, he should of just left ours, or voluntarly gave up lotting. If he'd of won any af, it'd be like starting a new hnmls right after you get an osode. In any case, if he was planning to lot, and just start a new linkshell, I would be ok with a decision to kick him from the linkshell (for above osode anology) but not deny lotting rights.

Also if you re-read neo's post, that was not "every" bol member. In my oppinion what should of been done is that any bol member planning to join the bol linkshell, should just leave ours, or voluntarly gave up lotting, however if any bol member was going to stay, they'd have full lotting rights and etc..

Note: there's a fine difference between the leave/stop lotting ultimatum and denying somone the ability to lot.

It's basically this: If we know you're going to leave the linkshell for another linkshell, we don't want you in the linkshell in the first place. However I'd be ok with letting you still have "fun" (if you enjoy dynamis itself) as long as you don't lot on af. It'd be your choice.

Denying would be not allowing every bol member to lot regardless of weather or not they would stay, or denying people who don't want to leave, and stuff like that.

This topic would never have come up if Peregrine wasn't such an asshat. I was told by some Invictus members that will remain unnamed that Peregrine is an arrogrant prick during the Dynamis runs. They also said that if another shell started up in that time they would change. That is not good leadership and not good moral. Peregrine makes it sound like all these people are being hand picked by him and would never be successful without his guidance. I am sick of seeing these posts because it gives too much attention to an attention whore with warped sense of reality. Doesn't matter what you say to Peregrine because Peregrine will continue to be an idiot regardless.
As far as a thf knife for the ls goes, not a good idea in my opinion. Don't see anything good coming of this and I hope the average Invictus member sees this. But, I am not in Invictus nor will ever be so do whatever the hell you want.

I realize some of our members are probably just hanging with us for wins. It happens. Who cares. If they leave it opens up space for new faces. If they weren't planning on staying with us anyway, they don't deserve to go any farther than the cities with us. Theres a few people in the shell who come to the runs, do what their told, lot if they can, get their wins, then leave after the run saying not a word. If they plan on staying, good, fine. Glad to have em. If they plan on leaving. Go right ahead. More AF2 for the ones who wanna be here.

We've recruited over 200 people, and with two runs a week, we average 50 players a run. Theres a lot of mixed players from both days too so its not even a total of 100 people who are going on both of our runs. We probably have 70ish truly active members--(we allow members to only attend one day if they can't attend both, attendance for both days is separately counted). Thats perfectly fine. We've probably had well over 100 people filter through our shell and decide it wasn't for them for one reason or another. A couple more people wont hurt if your friends don't feel right sitting in our shell Foofighter.

Not a good idea in your opinion? No one cares what you think, kiddo. If I asked the people in my shell what they thought about foofighter I'm sure I'd be happy with the real response I got. Until then no one really cares what you have to contribute to this discussion. Why should anyone believe you regarding me? Honestly. My shell says you're a loser. It must be true because I can't stand you and that makes me a good witness. Where's my eye-rolling face...

Let's make one thing clear. BoL thought they had the right to lot Invictus drops when they had no intention of staying with Invictus. I had no less than three people in BoL telling me to kick all BoL members that week because they knew what was up and probably figured that they didn't want the retards in their shell causing any more trouble. The last straw was when BoL sent me a new member in, I let them in in spite of them being BoL, and they had him take screenshots of when an after-jeuno pull killed us to post on their forums while he acted like a dumbass the whole run, threatening to pull himself and asking what happens when you run close to a bunch of stones.

You think I'm going to allow calbrone to sit there and form a shell behind my back that runs at MY times while sending fools my way...and give him armor for it while he bides his time? I don't think so. I talked to every BoL member I could find that ran with us and clearly told them that if they were going to do runs with BoL, then they can't lot with us. In the end, the only BoL member who appears to have been worth a dime is Trixx, and I'm sorry I lost him on account of BoL. Even if he did go afk half the time.

hey if he get the job done that all that matter. If some of his member hate him so much why do they stay? they dont if he a prick during dynamis that his style if he get the job done then he must be doing a pretty good job.

To cubs:
Your emphasis on being first is the gunner mentality. Dynamis is still challenging, and always will be. The new zones are challenging, and won't always be. The only thing challenging about the new zones is that people don't know what they're doing. The fun isn't in the challenge. It's in not knowing what you're doing.

Dynamis is still challenging. Maybe not for a meleer who shows up and contributes, but for me? We're talking about me after all. It's a ***** to keep up. I'm in charge of getting 57 people a win in windurst. That takes getting zylia in position, the tanks on the same flashing page, nalia in position, wargod in position, the camp standing, the pace flowing...I don't have to do a lot of this any more, but they have to learn and that is HARD. One day we missed a claim and gladdy went out and outright ran the NM down and flashed it after the puller was dead. Suffice it to say no one told him WHY you only flash a nm when the puller was alive. He was just told to flash the NM, so he did. And he brought what...15 mobs to camp. Eventually the team won't do that any more as they learn it like I know it. But even then, for me there's a reward in that. To take 60 people from knowing nothing to knowing it all? Heck.

And like I said, I'm not in it for the pieces so much. I like the pieces. I don't have the time to take the team into a new zone and fiddle around. It would be fun, but nothing more. There's no reason for me to take the team to the new zones if they're happy where they are and we're not done. You underestimate the difficulty in getting 70 people 4 wins. To get 70 people 3-5 cleared...good grief. I don't want to think about it. There are probably only 12 of us with diabolos beat.

I'm not a GUNNER. Best belts do NOT capture my attention. I HATE endgame best. I would be the LAST person taking my team to get an endgame best because it's endgame best. We might go to the new zones when things settle down and I have a skeleton frame to go by. That's not chicken. That's practical. We are not a group of 20 gunners. There are over 70 of us, and it's not the type of players that you are used to affiliating with. Dynamis IS a challenge to them because they just started it last month, and 3-5? Most are still on Mea.

I don't think prick is the right word for what I am in the zones. It's a kin to it, but I don't have the word for it.
