Either way it's still not a great spell due to 3 minute recast..

Freeze II: 1800/287 = 6,27 DMG/MP

Drain
21mp
200-300 damage.
15 Damage per mp.

on blu, i decided to go the physical DD route because im elvaan, and its lighter on the mp to go that route. but anywho, i typically sub thf. if i allow myself to save around 200 tp, ill get 1100dmg easy with death scissors with sataca. with something like frentic rip, the highest ive gotten is like 450 without azure lore anything. im also using as much str gear as possible. i also have all of the str spells that i can hold, set in my spell list.Liefe said:Well, if you were keeping up with only BLU elemental magic with their DPS, they must have had some crappy gear. lol
The only thing that has done reasonably good mp:damage for me when buffed with stats/etc is magic hammer. I've gotten close to 300 damage magic hammers with less than ideal gear (THF sub). 300 damage is also worthless, but the MP drain component is useful. It feels like magic hammer resists a lot more than regular blue magic as well, even with Apollo's staff.

It lasts at MOST 30 seconds almost always less, with a long recast, and it costs 5 points to set.
Liefe said:Well, if you want to talk about making sense...then Body Slam and Screwdriver should be a little bit stronger than they currently are. Oh, and exuviation should be SLIGHTLY more powerful..lol.
But that's not how it works. BLU magical spells are translations of the real spells (hence why Pollen is not an 8 MP for 400HP cure spell, etc). The point is that they should be some combination of MP efficient, cast time efficient, or duration efficient in which Enerveration COMPLETELY fails.
By the time you actually land the spell, BLM don't even have a chance to really cast a nuke before the debuff goes away nor do melee even have the chance to SC. The duration RARELY lasts 30 seconds, and each debuff component wears off at a different rate. It doesn't have a consistant duration like frightful roar, costs more MP, long cast and recast time, and costs 5 set points. It is useless so celebrating it is equally useless. That's why I thought showing off that it landed on stuff like Bahamut was funny.
