Compilation of NPC companion info.(PT II; Post Genkai)

Mine has a stupid Bronze Cap ;_; is there anyway to change it. casue she wont accept any trades i try to give her. i've tryed Iron Visor, Mitril Cuisse, and a Mithril Claymore nothing works >.<

im gonna try in Iron Mask or a traders hat mabye that will work
 
Heh, mine only has the option for a circlet. Looks alright and all, but I really wish I could change it to something else. ><;
 
Speed red a bit this thread so sorry if this has been mentionned, I did'nt see it.

Has anyone tried doing the promy sub quest with a party? Meaning 3 people + 3 npcs or 5 +1, however you wanna do it. I'm with Skaw on the thinking the more mob you kill, the more exp your npc will get. Plus, there might be a bonus the deeper in you choose to stop.

So if you mass murder everything with a party, how much exp would your npc get form say the 2nd floor? Just curious if anyone tried it.

They do not accept trades.

You "earn" your headwear. So far, theres two chances to earn headwear. One set came in with the previous slew of quests, the other is obtained at the same time as the 2nd new quest from Luto. It's random which headgear you get however. So getting a trader's chapeau is like winning the lottery. :P
 
Hrm.. ive had the option for my npcs headgear way before the update. Only thing that is different now is that it looks like its possible for me to get more than one type of headgear (though I still only have one option at the moment). I say this because the way the options work now actaully lists the circlet, and I would imagine if I get the ability to let them wear anything else it will show there as well. Whereas before it just asked if I wanted them to change headgear and that was that.

Yeah. 1st headgear option was obtained when they were introduced. Theres atleast 1 other now, thats why theres a menu to choose from instead of automatically going off/on.
 
weapons

quick question regarding weapon upgrades.

i did my NPC's 2nd weapon upgrade forever ago. Does Luto have to ask me for the third upgrade, or can i trade it to her anytime after i've done my NPC's first Genkai?

also, does anyone know what shield is used for the second upgrade? i gave my NPC a Shell Shield a while back, but dont know what to use for the next upgrade, thanks much for your time.

Well today my npc told me about the Emptiness mission she's on. She dinged 45 last night in my leveling session with here in Castle Zhval Baileys. As Cythe said it was after the 3rd time since I did the other two quests with her.

I'm looking foward to when I trigger this genkai quest, and ill let you know if it triggers before I get my npc to 50. I really wish I could hurry up and change her weapon though. ><
 
so what comes inbetween the Shell Shield and the Aspis? Luann Shield maybe?

Luaun is 1st(starter) shield.
Shell is 2nd.
 
Updated my first post of the thread with complete weapon/shield sets 1 through 5.
 
Well, did the emptiness quest, fully completing it, on saturday. I had went on friday to do it, and though that evne though I checked the ??? once that I was okay, so I chose to stay for a bit longer with my npc. Unknowing that I actaully had to say yes to being finish, to truely finish the quest. So I went back and wondered why my npc wasnt giving me a tactics pearl. Talked to Skaw a bit and realized I should try it again, however it was too late that night and I needed to sleep.

Saturday comes along and I go back in, thankfully all you do is go to the Rendevous point like before and it restarts the quest, you have 45 mins to find the ???. I went to the area, and killed empty for about 30 minutes or so before I decided to fully complete the quest. My npc got 1220 exp upon completion. Went to jueno, talked to npc and she gave me a tactics pearl. I used one charge Saturday, after a failed attempt to level her in Ulegerand Range (I got owned after fighting the second mob In there due to snoll magic aggro ><).

Got a R3 and helped a friend get his Ancient Salt for Opo Opo Crown quest in quicksand caves. Used the tactics pearl to help level my npc a tiny bit while I fought the worms, but then the darn Salt had to drop on the second worm, so.. I kept her out for a while more, fighting more worms and antican, and even a scorpion for kicks, before putting my npc away prematurely so we could leave.

She's still level 45, but tonight I checked Luto and walla, 3rd weapon upgrade is available yay. Also, since its sunday I decided id talk with my npc and see what she said about quests. The Emptiness quest is available again. Sweet. Still have 3 charges on my current tactics pearl.

Now the problem.. actaully finding an Infirno Sword. ><
 
Hey Guys... just finished the Chameleon Capers Quest...

Was wondering if anyone else has finished it, and if so, what T.M. (Tactics Manual) did you pick? I chose the T.M. of Endurance and since these things are only rare, I suspect that you can trade with people who got the T.M. Might and Fortitude so you can have all three new Combat Styles.

If anyone has the Might or Fortitude T.M. and would like to trade TMs so they can add another combat style, message me in game. The Endurance T.M. lets your NPC learn how to be a 'Soothing Healer.' I'm interested to what extent the other T.M.s will have the NPC do.
 
Which quest is that Khali? Do u need G2 done for that or something?
