Diabolos not the only new avatar to come

Meh, I would love a quest or something that made the wyvern into a Judges Wyvern or the Aern wyvern
 
LOL how do you come to the point: "SMNS don't help others too much"?Regardless of job, we help ppl when we feel like to. Why would you think it's SMN that mostly don't wanna help ppl? Maybe coz you see someone always shouting: Promyvion-Mea, Summoner, Can I have it? 5/6. I assume SMNs don't have problem passing the Promyvions. You shout for SMN because it's powful in BC and few ppl plays this job. But can I ask you if you were the SMN, would you like to spend like 2 hours to help some n00b Promyvion PT with someone who wouldn't even pay gil for Hi-Potions or Yagudo Drinks just for help? Happened to me many times, so I decided I'll never help with Promyvions unless it's a request of a friend, or it's a 90% win with awesome setup.
 
Story-wise, I don't know how they're going to be able to sneak Phoenix in, given how she's handled in CoP, unless there's a quest involved other than your usual "go fight them" thing. Though the quest could be pretty sweet, CS and storyline-wise.
 
It'll be nice to see new summons in the game. It'd be nice if they gave some more spells and abilities to the other job. I mean, I think monk sometimes sees the shaft in upgrade department. And maybe...give back rangers their DD abilities to get some bandwagoners off my job? haha...

And yes, I'm probably sure the same people who complain about summoners not helping are the first to say when they level a lower job.. "A summoner, is there anyone else we can get?" (Hey, if other people can over-generalize, so can I.)
 
MNK gets the shaft in the upgrade department for the same reason NIN get the shaft in the upgrade department (I mean completing the :Ni line or opening the :San line, not gear-wise)... Give them anything else significantly upgrading, and they'll be more broken than MrArgus.exe

Odin would be pretty freakin hot. I know they wouldn't make him this powerful, but in FF8 he was absolutely bonerific. He joins the foray, I'd probably level SMN too.
 
Odin would be interesting... Especially since whenever he wasn't swinging around the Zantetsuken, it was some other physical attack... (Gilgamesh from FF8 with the four swords, FF5/7/9 with Gugnir) A purely physical avatar? That'd be something very interesting.
 
Kyrial I can't say for sure since I haven't seen that CS in awhile. I am pretty sure he said he was searching for the other 5. Don't recall him saying those were the only ones.

At the very worst we already have 3 of the 5 available. So that means Phoenix and Bahamut are still up in the air. As to when they will be released, most likely just before the next expansion or afterwards.

Even if that is the case, that still leaves upto 4 new avatars to comeout. Odin, Alexander, Phoenix, and Bahamut. Even if one of these only comes out I am sure people will be happy about it.

If it is Phoenix I think it could have some type of rr2 effect or reraisega (1 or 2 possibally), I hope that SE would be smart enough to add some type of Holy effect to it. Bards already have reraisga1 so I don't see why it would be impossible for a SMN to get it. I highly doubt there would be a raise3 or RR3 since it would pretty much make WHM a useless job. This is just best guess since nobody really knows for sure.
 
Oy I can't handle anymore avatars as I'm out of macro tiers but I do want phoenix....Reraisga III YES PRZ!!

As far as the all smn LS, all I can say is it's about time. No more waiting 3 days for a pt without an invite, No more smns having to scrape and scrounge 500k for a fenrir run and no more BEGGING people to do Carby mitt runs.

Palum's right, I've been booted from parties because I'm a summoner before we even leave Jeuno. "Oh you're a summoner? I thought you were a samurai... /boot". It's taken me about a year and a half to take smn to 71 and it took me 3 months to take whm from 1-61, All SMN LS yes please. If summoners weren't so shunned from 1-69 I'm sure there woulndn't be a need for an all SMN LS but that's not the case. You get Non Summoners begging you to do prommy again but these are the same assholes who pass you up everytime they make a party before even giving you a chance to show that you're any good.

I've done 4 Fenrir runs and just last night got about 12 carbuncle mittens to drop and god damn did it feel good to help out! One of the SMNs even said "Wow I'm so glad you guys are helping me get my mitts, I've been trying to get them for 3 months and was thinking of quitting" And you want him to join your End game LS when hits 70 but won't help him get carby mitts when he's 40...nice.

By the way, as far as I know we havn't done any realy end game activity as of yet, we help eachother get testimonies, mittens, fenrirs, avatars, pacts and XP together on bombs - I don't see what the big deal is.
 
They have still yet to release the Bigboy summon, and have thusfar refused to comment when I inquire with them about a possible release date. So far I have found code that supports my theory behind its existant. So far it only has 1 move, total zone purge. And anyone attempting to enter the zone in the following 30 Vanadiel days is affected by "radiation poisoning" dealing 200 damage/tick to both HP and MP.

Some people call it over powered, but I think it is a fitting tribute to my glory.

SE needs to grow some balls and start returning my calls.
 
I hope if they ever add Odin that he behaves like he did in FF8 and just randomly shows up and totally pwns something. Would be totally awsome to be leveling with a summoner and while the party if waiting between pulls, some crazed horseman leaps out of a rift in space, 1-hits one of the mobs that just wanders around at your feet (like rabbits, mandies, or leeches as examples) and leeps back out the way it came in. Not only would it be hillarious, but it would scare the bajezuz out of everyone every single time!

Yup Sabs, it's not just your life as a summoner I hear about, I hear a lot of complaints about summoners not being one and waiting for a party to form. Summoner's are terrible main healers. Summoner's are terrbile DDs. Summoners debuff...they can debuff? Get a rdm to backup heal... etc... All these things work against summoners so maybe if they do get a few more summons, more people will actually look at them to fill a party spot without saying... "If that's all you can find..*grumble* *grumble*"

If that comes into effect though, you'll probably have a lot of bandwagon summoners making it the Job of the Month.

Relating to the thread. Phoenix would be good. Crazy damage dealing summons would not be good. Predator Claws already outdamages most jobs I see so I'm surprised the Nerf Alert hasn't been sounded at S-E. And they should balance out the other jobs to match... :D (again...poor neglected monk).

He'd have to have a maniacal laugh after smashing the mob... like the mongorians in that South Park episode, after they smash the Shity Wall.

He could appear out of nowhere, start fisticuffin' whatever the hell he sees (your mob, the mob being fought by a nearby party, your tank, etc) doing some ridiculous per-hit dmg. They could make it a complete gamble - will he start fighting the mob, or will he start fighting your party? As a twist, he could even start fighting the environment, punching trees and cermet walls and stuff. Cussing the whole time, of course.


Then, when you de-summon him:

Side note. Since when are SMN hard to lvl? If im building a party and I have a NIN tank I almost always instinctively look for a SMN. When I was lvling my PLD 50-60 I only had 2 parties that didnt have a SMN in it. I see SMN getting invites like crazy the past few months. But hey maybe its just me.
 
Last I recall, I had a pretty tough time as a SMN 'growing up.'

But I'm comparing it to my BLM. And it's only in my experiences. I was absolutely shit on as a SMN. But I'm a moron and a glutton for punishment so I kept crawling back for more. The more crap got thrown at me, the more I just wanted to hurry up and get to 70+.

I'm not really uptight I think. But I am very much of a hermit. And I do want to find a SMN only LS just because I think it's kind of spiffy. I also would like to find a BLM only LS just for shits and giggles. Maybe even a Taru only LS where we can make fun of 'tallbies' or something idiotic like that.

At the end of the day, I don't care what SE gives us. I'm greatfull for whatever they give my job to tinker with. Unless it's a pain in the rear nerf or something.
 
So, why do they need more avatars? Why not just add to the current ones? If the PS2 is the limitation to gear variation, why add junk gear and unnecessary summons?
