Diabolos not the only new avatar to come

Because SE is full of shit about ps2 limitations, they're just too lazy to add more gear variations but they will add new avatars.

Yeah...that's after they get their Aerial Armour, and I believe Hastega or the group stoneskin.

What about at level 30 when all they have is the group blink, and the curing power of a 15whm? When you get the high levels, all the jobs true worth shows up...monks and dragoons can create light s/cs... thieves have assassin, drks can sub thf, etc... it's just how many people never make it there because no one invites them into the party.

Since when does NIN need new spells? Last I checked NIN's did perfectly well with their already fast casting Ni spells.

I as a Summoner know how hard it was to level when I started playing the job and it sucked. Spending all that time and gil on the level 20 mini-fights and hoping that just maybe having them would lessen my chance of being forced to heal. I was wrong. I spent the gil and time on the mini-fights and became invited and had to heal. Wasen't too happy, but I kept going. Hit about 60 when people started asking me if I had Fenrir or not. I was refused a party once or twice because of not having him.

As for new summons: Of course we'll have new summons in the future. When is unknown, but they can't just leave Summoners in the dust with nothing. I feel that I'd much rather have a freakin Job Ability besides my 2 hour and my Sub Job's ability to play with and hell I'd love to see questable Blood Pacts for our Summons. Questable spells and weapons and Weapon Skills why not Blood Pacts?
 
Alot of very funny and good post's. Just wanted to say to all us SMN's out there lets not make this into a SMN is a hard job to level thing. IMO Deci was only saying some shit to throw this thread off topic, I addressed his post and thats that. He didn't reply because there is nothing more to say lol. Anyone who says SMN isn't the hardest job in game to level I just smile and laugh to myself, obviously they haven't leveled the job. I feel for MNKs and DRG and DRK since they also know what it is like since their jobs are similar to the way of exp is for a SMN. Only diff is that they become powerful (or more powerful) after 60 and SMN not til 70.

As for SMN's looking for an all SMN LS, My LS AstralBurn is available to all SMN's 60+, since we are looking to reach 75 with full merits ASAP, work on getting all avatars and gear needed. Then move along onto other things like Tiamat for example. We do have a few LS's that AB is linked to for SMN's level 1-60 also. AvatarPact for example, which when we have some freetime some ppl from AB helpout with random things that SMN's need. If your interested and want some info just look for me in game.

Wataza there is going to be some new BP abilities available to SMN's through merits in the near future I believe. So that is one thing to look forward to also. SE didn't really go into too much detail about it but was released along with the info when Diabolos came out.

I just think the more avatars we have the better. So any chance of any new avatar is great IMO. It will just be another option that we have with some cool features for battles. I sure hope they don't nerf SMN's BP abilities since that will suck hardcore.

I think having Quetzalcoatl as a summonable avatar would be great but then again I'd be happy with any new avatar. Diabolos wasn't so great but hey it has it's bonuses in certain situations.

As long as having a new avatar that is more of a blunt avatar would be ok as long as they didn't increase the amount of damage we can do too insanely. Solo a 70+ is fairly strong, but in a large group we are almost unstoppable. So I don't really see the need for too much more damage ability. Having something higher then raise and reraise would be great and would save us alot of time on exp or gil on using a reraise2 hairpin. Losing over 2k exp sucks when you have to eat a reraise.
 
I imagine every BST who read this had a laugh when they saw that SMN is the hardest job to level to 75.

Yeah I'll give you that BST is also hard to level. To clarify though IMO since the SMN on this server didn't widely work together to help each other out, along with the understanding that there has been for quite some time an all BST LS where they can hangout and exp together, SMN here was harder.

Also take into account that SMN had on average a population of 2% serverwide compared to the rest of the jobs, simply means that there is a greater chance of not having many people your level to exp with even if you wanted to.

I don't know much about BST but I do know they have the ability to charm pets and use jugs for a pet, they are not limited the same as a SMN in the amount of MP you have. MP runs out and mob still alive SMN dies, when a BST can just charm another mob or use a jug.

Drg has a hard time exp'n simply due to ignorance. When I leveled THF to 75 I had a drg as my SC buddy about 70% of the time. Yeah they got nerfed but it's not a useless job if you know how to use it properly.

Just to pointout incase some people's reading skills are not what they should be, this post is in regards to new avatars, not which job is the hardest. I made a statement to deci, and chose the unproper wording, should have said one of the hardest if not the hardest job to level to 75.

I am abit cranky since I am sick so maybe this is abit mean but meh...
If you have any thought's or idea's you would like to share about the topic I'd love to hear it. If not, take your 2 gil shove it up your ass and FOff back to the flameboard where you belong... Noob. I am sure ppl can figureout who this is directed to.

As far as new avatars Even though I do not know all teh story line I think Phoenix would just fit well to our jobs SMN tend to be a support role and having this would just make us better at it but they would need to balance it so it would not overshadow whm either just to be fair. I would not want one job to profit at the expence of another.
 
Aerdrie yeah I am hoping for Phoenix next as well. Yeah we sometimes get stuck having to be in a support role, but what makes this job so great is that we are able to fill various roles. Can be a DD, main healer, or MB'r if no BLM are available. Too bad Diabolos doesn't give refresh (yet) since we could fill another role that way as well.

Deuce maybe you should reread that again. I'll spell it out for you since you seem to be special. Take Y-O-U-R *makes hand signs* 2 gil. As in your two cents. If this still doesn't make sence to you, then your a lucky kid for having parents who would allow you to spend so much money buying a character.

Try BST, 8 deaths last night, 3 of them hp's. Not due to lack of skill, dumb luck. 1-35 is hell and the higher levels are even worse, there are only a handful of NA BST on this server that are above level 60. But this isn't a pissing contest.

But seriously, more power to the SMN's. It's a great job and if they can do their own thing that is awesome. I find it horrible when most people relegate SMN just to a main heal role in a party. I find it funny people bitching about SMN's being too good to join other Sky/HNM ls' while these same ls' snub many other jobs but will always take the BLM's and other jobs deemed good for end game. You got a problem with SMN's, level the job yourself and join a sky ls.

I have yet to meet one of these jerk SMN's being spoken of, everyone I know or have duo'd / trio'd with has been nice as hell, but then again I'm a BST and get along great with SMN's
 
Nice to meet ya fonzy. Yeah I agree mostly SMN's and BST's get along great. My first time around leveling up SMN to 75 I teamed up with a few bst's in the cauldren and we smoked bombs all day. Was good fun. Not to mention that a BST SMN alliance can pwn lots of things also.

Personally I love BST's. Well next to SMN's that is lol. Just sucked that after 60 when i went to exp in the range it was rather expensive for BST's to party with SMN's since they had to use jug pets and can't really charm the IT+ mobs on the lake.

Death always sux =G hope it goes better for you today.

If I were a summoner I wouldn't help any of the idiots that consistantly passed me up for a party either. You want a summoner's help at 70+, then help them out pre70. I hope summoners do get more avatars, and become the most powerful job in the game, just so that they can flip off all the people that belittle them for 69 levels. As far as endgame goes, there are tons of jobs that would love to play an active role in endgame, but get snubbed for the easy answer jobs of Smn, Blm and Rng. If people want to talk about helping at endgame, they should lower their noses a little and let the melees who actually *want* to contribute do more than sit on the sidelines sleeping TP. If you just want to abuse a job till it's nerfed so that you can get your elite gear faster, who are you to talk about help?

Well put. As much as it is the suggested strategy for so many melee jobs, I wish there was something more exciting for us to do. The first time I did Kirin, I was excited to be a part of something so different from my usual stuff - then when I realized I'd be standing in a hall for 90% of the fight, my excitement was quickly replaced with boredom.
