I'm tired of this. Every single time I bring up the fact that my main job is Dancer, I'm repeatedly ridiculed over the fact that apparently my job sucks.
I hear it in all forms. "Dancers feed the mob tp," "Dancers can't tank," "Dancers sucks," "Dancer's ain't so hot,".... So on and so forth.
But 95% of the time when confronted about it, the current person entirely bases their belief of dancer on the fact they've leveled it a little bit (most of the time to lv 10ish) and they've partied with a couple. Most of the time on Imps.

So lemme get this straight, you haven't even got curing waltz, and you think dancer sucks? you parted against imps with one once upon a time, a monster that makes dance a theif without sata, and dancer sucks?
Here's a better question, wtf kind of leader invites a dnc to an imp party? Please read, ALL. OUR. MOVES. ARE. JOB. ABILITIES! We're a friggin weakened thief without sata and 2 ranks less in dagger!
"Why don't you get an Ecphoria Ring then? Lazy ass" Right, you want me to spend 70K on a ring that I'll use up by the end of two decent parties? You think I'm friggin made of money? Not to mention it's a 5 min recharge so I'll still be out of JAs for half the pt.
Now, for the people that have leveled dancer past lv 40, or have partied with tonnes of them in many parties, if you still think dancer sucks, by all means, you have ample reason to think so by then. But when you've partied with a couple and haven't even unlocked the job, stfu, you don't know what you're talking about.
Myself, as a dancer, will basically sit and spam my JAs the whole fight. I use a JA roughly every 5 seconds, sometimes 2. I need to keep check on party member's hp so I can heal, Keep check on recast of 5 different abilities at all times to plan my moves, keep track in my head of the current level of BOTH quickstep and boxstep, Watch my shadows, by ready to voke off the tank if he gets hit too hard, have violent flourish ready for if the mob WSs, keep check on haste/drain samba, all the while watching my TP so it doesn't get too low, and if it does throw in my reverse flourish and quickly step to get my finishes back.
It's really infuriating to be called a sucky job by the guy I just saved the life of three times in a row. Maybe next time I won't heal you for 450 hp and instead just watch you die.
All in all, it's pretty damn rude to insult a job you haven't even leveled, especially the one that's keeping you alive.
As for our low acc, stfu, I have over +40 acc and after my first quickstep I stop missing. >_>
