Biggest fucking cop-out ever.

Accuracy is based off DEX, Weapon skill level, and Equipment. For every 2 dex, you get 1 accuracy. For every weapon level, you get 1 accuracy and attack(or is it two? I forget.)

Racial Accuracy and Racial Attack are fucking cop-outs, there is no such thing as racial accuracy/attack. Being 4 dex under anyone else means you're missing 2 accuracy. 2 Accuracy isn't going to mean shit.

Like I said. Accuracy has a drop off. You can never get 100%. The closer you get to 100%, the more accuracy+ you'll need to actually make a difference. Just like Attack. Attack has a plateau at which it can no longer boost your damage, and you'll need more STR to push it through that barrier(and ofcourse, there are damage caps on weapons.)

Stacking accuracy is bogus, it's all in your head. Just like how a long time ago, everyone was hung up on stacking Attack until people realized Attack by itself does not increase your damage after a certain point.

Actually the differences are most notable at lower levels, but once better equipment becomes available the differences peter out. Personally as elvaan I feel I have a good balance of acc, attk, and str. I have a full str set for WS macro. If you'd like me to log on and check my exact stats id be more than happy to. Bottom line is that the +70 acc +60 attk I have for TP gain works excellent, and the delay with a 2 handed weapon makes misses extremely painful.

Personally I'd say I had at least an 80% acc against most xp mobs, if not much higher. I don't have a parser so this is all guesstimate. The +5 STR helps noticeably on WS as well, which I do enjoy. I'd hate to go from my current accuracy rating to say 60%, where I whiff 4/10 swings - losing out on 320 dmg and 40+% TP.

I fail to see how this is a 'cop out' as you say - I'm not trying to get out of equipping attk... I equip as much of each as I can.

It's a rumor...one of many made up by mages and meleers who for some unknown reason would rather put their faith in pure luck, mandragora leaves, lucky eggs, charms, cheap leveling fodder desks, and other random superstitions than to degrade themselves by associating with a thief.

One thing is certain: the drop rate is low, even for a thief. That gives people room to speculate, and to especially make themselves feel better about camping an item that's clearly not got any value to them but monetary gain.
