Thanks Uzor also. After reading "the armourypart of that site I actually kinda understand what the concept of the game is.

Question 1:
Q, Please detail into the following to classes (Lancer, Bower)
It is important to note the distance between the Lancer and the enemy. How would you put it, it is pretty stood out.
- Lancer is fit for mid-long range battles. They are the master for hit and out lol.
- Lancer's ability isn't limited to simply poking with lance, they can use the whole body of the lance to sweep multiple enemies also.
- Bower will attack from the shadow in stealth. With out exposing his/her position and hit the enemy before they even realize it!
- You can also you use lance as throwing weapon to hit bird type monsters
- It must feel good to be able to hit flying type monster with bow and arrow.
- Use the lance to clear out multiple monsters fast by sweeping!

Notice the Bower? They commented on it. It sounds like a thief class. Wants.

That is actually only speculation and discussion amongst the Connect! staff. I bet the Bower is just a bad translation of Ranger.

That's what I thought when I re-read it this morning.

I like the idea of a Lancer being able to hit multiple enemies at a time, altho this goes along with the statement of one person fighting several mobs (since mobs seem to be in PT as well).

I read on FFXIVCore that this game show in France is mostly covering FFXIII. :(

Is anyone more excited for XIV then XIII? I am.

First day there's no new news about FFXIV. Only them telling people to sign up for the newsletter if they want a chance to get in the beta.

anyone else realise how much ff14 looks like 11? and yet they still havent made a manthra... :(

The concert 'Distant Worlds' who play Final Fantasy music will be performing brand new Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) music in Chicago 12th December this year. We all love the music that exists in the FF games, so here's your chance to listen to all the great soundtracks that you've grown to love, plus you get to listen to the new FF14 music as well!

Taken from FFXIVcore.com. This will be exciting to see and hear some of the music in the game.

Well duh, they're re-using the same races for familiarity for the current FFXI crowd. As far as zones, you can only re-use the standard desert, jungle, plains, caves, etc so many times before they all look alike. And Manthra? Yeah they already made Manthra's (Lekho Habokha, sp?) just not playable.

tbh...if its simply a huge graphics update + new areas/quest lines etc (some epics like cop and stuff) id be stoked. i loved ffxi back in the day, having an upgraded version of it would be sick

It seems I might be ride in believing FFXIII will be released with FFXIV beta.

UPDATE: Confirmed with picture from next week's Jump: FFXIV Campaign Code
A rumor has made its way through the tubes that early copies of Final Fantasy XIII, which goes on sale December 17th, may contain "Campaign Codes" related to Final Fantasy XIV. Unfortunately, there are no details as to what the codes may activate. Early speculation leans towards either a slot in the beta, one of the promised "focus groups" or perhaps just some special item. However, any high hopes should be kept in check until more details emerge.

Still, while the purpose is unclear, there is some precedent for such an offer. Along with the recently released 4 Warriors of Light Final Fantasy Gaiden, Square Enix is running a campaign for early buyers. If one purchases a copy and enters a special code on the Square Enix Members site before November 8th, they are eligible to receive a special Dragon Standee, pictured left.
Being a fan of anything from Square Enix with two or more F's in the title, I picked up this DS cart on release day and entered my code online. There are a few things I noticed along the way that speak well for this rumor. First, is the item is used as a display in stores and cannot be obtained in any other way. We know Square Enix is willing to provide unqiue items beyond what are offered by trading points in their Members Store. Second, the process entailed filling out a survey in which it was indicated there would be future "early purchase" bonuses.
We'll have to wait and see if they do in fact adopt the early purchase campaign to Final Fantasy XIII and what prizes they have in store. Maybe I shouldn't have checked "did not affect my purchasing decision" on that survey...
Tip o' the Taj to FF14-FAN for the info.

Maybe I should import it, despite not knowing a word of Japanese...
