First Person Shooting Multiplayer Game

I'll play someone at Rakion for gil.

I absolutly must get back into this game... I miss it so much >_< I left it because of all the damn hacking going on. Is it still flooded with hackers?

Not flooded, at least, not what I've noticed. Yeah there's always people that like to abuse glitches and the laggers, but other than that, it's fine. The only ones that annoy me are the ones that slide on the floor when you hit them with a move that is supposed to knock them to the ground, then they grip you. I hate that.

I was the #1 ranked east coast marksman on socom 1 for a year and a half

;)

hi I'm a fucking nerd, nice to meet you. rofl.

I wouldn't go braggin about that too loudly. A lot of people here used to play SOCOM and they'll all tell you that the only ones who broke the Top10 were all gameshark users.

get alot of spawn killers on ghost recond no one cares, but if you are a snipper and do not move but on sharpshooter kill over 20 people you are a hacker what i find weird lol.
o btw got rank 5/6 on ghost now
ToughEagle Eye if want to give me a match

Hackers/glitchers are annoying. And yeah, SOCOM was heavily hacked from what I've read before, and I don't think the patches stopped that entirely.

There was this one time, while playing Halo 2 on the Blood Gulch level, where someone had to have used some kind of cheat. I walked through the cavern to get camo, then I walked up the slant exit and peaked out with just my reticule above the ground in front of me, and it was in the heavily shadowed area. This one guy I have aimed at the head, stops. So I'm thinking "wtfunk?" because he's actually facing in my direction. I found it strange that he didn't move at all. When I decided to pull the trigger, he immediately ducked, so I missed, seeing the bullet mark on the wall that he had his back to. Now, he was far enough so that the duck would be able to dodge the bullet, but the fact that he seemed to have known where I was was not right. :/

There was also this one glitch on that same level that people abused, which was for Assault. Once the team scores, they take the bomb to this glitch point in the map where it drops through to the bottom of the map where no one can get it. And on Midship, they toss the bomb into a small tight corner you can't even crouch to reach it. Assault was a good challenging game type though. But Capture the Flag is always fun when you're lobbying the flag around to your players at different heights so the guy behind you can't get to them in time.

And yeah I'm agreeing with Rones about the camping thing making games not so fun. Yeah winning is fun, but there are some ways going about it that aren't, and lolcheating is one example. Camping for too long is a drag, and then winning doesn't really feel like a win.

That's why I like Rakion a lot. You can't really camp all day since you're pretty much forced to go in there and fight, since it's a melee PvP game.

To be a winner in a match requires you to play the formula, not the game. And that right there is where I stop having fun.

But you're still playing FFXI?

In a lot of games, there will always be players that will try to find and exploit a glitch/imbalance in the game.

Magnum Sniper Rifle in CS.
As much as I dislike that weapon, it really isn't a noob weapon. It takes a lot of skill and experience to use that weapon to its full potential. This is pretty clear on the aztec map when snipers dual across the bridge. If there was no skill involved, the scores would be distributed evenly instead of one sniper going 1 and 10 while the other goes 10 and 1. Its an annoying weapon, but it isn't a noob weapon.

if i had a plasma pistol, battle rifle in RL. i could prolly take over the world hahahahahahah. Halo2 ftw. top 3 in World for 2months only.. but w/e was there.

On Aztec fair enough but still a 1 hit kill weapon is a bit n00bish. Nevermind I often beat Magnum users on the bridge of Aztec with my trusty Scout :)

Ha, who uses sniper rifles? The real sniping weapon is the pistol man. PISTOL ALL THE WAY.

THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE HIGHLANDER!

Well its not always 1 hit. I've lived through my share of magnum shots to the limbs. I enjoy the scout. I'm no sniper, but the scout can be very fun for learning.

Halo 1 LAN > Halo 2. I should really play more CoD2/BF2/CS:S :(
Halo 2 is a bit more balanced. And the maps are much better.

And I remember the Plasma Pistol+Battle Rifle combo. It was insta-kill for me after the charged plasma shot hits. Battle Rifle will always be my favorite weapon. The scoreboard would count me like 20 headshots or more at the end of a game. It's also a good weapon to kill (close enough) snipers with.

Your proud of effectively using the noob combo? Anyone could do that...

You're thinking of the SMG + Plasma Pistol combo. The Battle Rifle is a 2 handed weapon.

No, Charge plasma pistol, shoot it, switch weapons, shoot them. They're dead.
