You're right on the defense part. Detroit is just far too dominant in the neutral zone. That has been and will be the key to this series. I'm gonna have to disagree about the "one superstar" thing though, because the Pens have plenty of talent on their end outside of Crosby (Malkin, Staal, Sykora, Hossa, Talbot, Malone, etc). Still, the Pens are gonna have to take both home games or else we're fucked. I thought it would be a little more even than this, but the Red Wings really turned it on when it meant something, and I'll give my kudos to that.
even if any of those players you mentioned had as much talent as the wings, they still wont win. crosby is a type of player that plays for himself. kinda like gretzky...just a little bit different. gretzky was an amazing player, like crosby. however, how many times did gretzky win the cup while with the kings.
crosby is the type that would go to pick up hockey, and you would be pissed at him because he never passes. the wings have the same amount of telent as the pens, but the wings can play better as a team because they dont have that cocky kid on their team that thinks its up to him to win the game.
you can compare every single one of those players to the roster of the wings and find the wings are +1 on all of them. if you dont think so, i shall revert the the scoreboard as my rebuttle.
