The game made me cry ; ; It was a good game, Detroit just made some dumb and costly mistakes with turnovers that resulted in some goals. The first turnover in their own zone made me scream and ask wtf are you guys doing tonight lol

Meh, they're still up at the moment and if they win the next two then they'll win it in Detroit. ^_^ I believe they can do it! GO WINGS!!

Pens sweep the next 3 and win it in the Burgh!!!



No really though, I think (As I already stated earlier in this thread) the Pens are practically unstoppable at home. Sadly, I get the feeling that this is going to go to 7, and as much as I hate to admit it, I think the Red Wings are almost as unstoppable at home (at least against this team).

Long and short; I'm praying for the Pens, but I'm thinking Wings in 7.

penguins fans are kinda quiet. doesnt matter where the game is, detroit is going to win this in 5
 
I'm a Devils fan. Thats why I can watch this finals without being biased and coming across as a hater for one side or the other.
 
I hope the Pens win tonight, I don't want to hockey season to end...




Back to reality though, I'll post a early congratulations to the Red Wings, they had a great season this year and I definitely feel they have won what they deserved. The Red Wings better enjoy it while they can, cause the Senators will take it in '09!
 
I'd love to see 7 games with either team winning... but yeah, reality is Game 5 in Detroit up 3 games to 1 more than likely means Lidstrom is raising the cup tonight.

Your wish may be granted Tim. The wings are playing off their game right now and so we will see if they can recover that 2 goal deficit. I feel bad for Kronwall scoring on Osgood, I know the pain of scoring on your own goalie. Sad thing was he did the right things trying to clear to the corner like he did, but he clipped Hall's skate and it went top shelf on Osgood.
 
3rd overtime coming up... I was planning to go to bed early because I have to work from 8:00 am to midnight shooting a competition.

absolutely amazing game so far. OT makes me nervous regardless
 
as soon as the 4 min major came up, i knew it was a loss. game 6 will show the cup though
 
Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you Marc Andre Fleury playing out of his mind. That game was all about him. I think that goalie is finally waking up, too bad it took game 5 1st-3rd over time to do it.

Eh I don't know. Games 1 and 2 he was playing pretty well until both 3rd periods where the games were out of hand. Those could have both been 2-0 games instead of 4-0 and 3-0 respectively. Game 3 he played well, and Game 4 he stood his ground for the most part. Don't get me wrong, Detroit has dominated most of this series, but Fleury has been by far the Pens best player. If you told me the Pens were only going to score 4 goals in the first 4 games, I would've said you're full of shit. Tonight he just went above and beyond, making ridiculous game-saving save after game-saving save.

Still, it's coming back to the Burgh for Game 6, and being 35 seconds from the whole thing being over, I'm pretty fucking stoked. I still think Detroit is far and above the better team, but if we can steal one more at home its going to be one hell of a game 7.
 
Shows how much of a game of inches it is. The detroit 'goal' that hit the crossbar, pitt's 2nd goal, the puck hitting the ref on the play that netted the game winner. The inches were on the side of Pitt. I'm going to be DYING today. Fricken 1 AM....
 
The kid stood on his head the entire game. Both teams did a superb job and I dont think a fan from either team can be dissatisfied with what happened last night (aside from the ending score of course). What a great game!
 
Definitely an amazing game, and Fleury deserves a metal after his performance last night. As much as I'd like to see the Wings win, if this series goes to 7 I'm going to be stoked.

Additionally, anyone else notice how good of a game Dan Cleary was having?
