Hockey 2008

I couldn't believe the amount of hustle the Pens played with last night. Since my team isn't in the running anymore, I've been totally rooting for the underdog. GO PENS!

Detroit is such a great club, too bad they scored on thier own net.
 
what still makes me cringe thinking about it, is the puck to the face. if that puck wasnt wobbling when it hit, that could have easily been reconstructive surgery on the cheek bone

Malone was already playing with a broken nose before that too. That had to be unbelievable pain. Hockey players are fucking MEN! (Note: I don't play Hockey)
 
i play hockey, i can imagine how much that hurt. i expected it to be much worse though. i thought for sure, there was going to be broken bone. at the very least after watching the replay, i expected a large cut needing about 14 stichces. he was very lucky, that could have been career ending
 
I'm not expert hockey fan, but god damn that game last night was exciting!

Fleury(sp?) was insane! Pittsburgh looked absolutely dead most of the first two OTs and Fleury was just willing them to victory, it was impressive.

After that game I'll be tuned in for game 6 for sure ;D Unless it's thursday when the Basketball finals are on...
 
One more time. Let's at least get it to 7. Go Pens!
 
ill agree with tim, because that means the wings will win it in detroit instead of winning it tonight in pitt.

I wish the Red Wings won on Monday, it was quite the blah ceremony tonight.


Anyways, congratulations again, they deserved it.

But honestly Pittsburgh put up a hell of a fight and nothing but respect for them.
 
Detroit was by far the better team in this whole series.

David couldn't beat Goliath, but they put up on hell of a fight till the last second. Thanks for a great season Pens, and congrats to the Wings and their fans.

Yeah, I'm already wondering where he's going to end up. (Prays for Washington.)

I bet the Rangers will get Jagr for one more year. It doesn't seem like Sather is really excited to re-sign Sean Avery though, which is a damn shame. If they don't keep Avery then they really won't be the same team next year. I think Jagr would be more replaceable than him at this point.
