Quoted for sheer awesomeness.

Yeah, I'm already wondering where he's going to end up. (Prays for Washington.)
I bet the Rangers will get Jagr for one more year. It doesn't seem like Sather is really excited to re-sign Sean Avery though, which is a damn shame. If they don't keep Avery then they really won't be the same team next year. I think Jagr would be more replaceable than him at this point.
I seem to like Jagr a lot more then Avery because I think Avery as a person is disgusting. He is just a bad guy in general and doesn't have good sportsmanship.
Avery to me is one of those guys that you absolutely hate if he was playing against you but you would absolutely love if he was on your team.
Some of his antics can be questionable, yeah, but he provides a lot of needed jump for the Rangers and he gets his whole team going. Their record was horrible when he was out with a minor injury this season. Teams can really benefit from having a real energetic pest like him or Darcy Tucker in Toronto. Avery to me is one of those guys that you absolutely hate if he was playing against you but you would absolutely love if he was on your team. Keep in mind, I'm saying I like Avery and I'm also a Devil's fan. If anything, I should hate his stinkin guts, lol. If the Rangers did anything different, I would have liked to see them keep Nylander with Jagr instead of trading him away. Its been a while since Jagr played that well with a center. There were a lot of high hopes with the Jagr/Gomez combination but those guys just can't seem to click which is too bad.
Yeah I see your point there. Me being an Islanders fan at heart I really just hate pretty much any ranger player =p.
We share with all Canadians the disappointment of this news, as we feel as strongly about the theme as they do. We are proud of the association with the former theme song and are saddened that we were unable to reach a deal, especially when we presented an offer which we believe was not substantively different from what the rights holders had proposed to us. We love the song and know this is a huge disappointment for us and for millions of Canadians. As of today, CBC Sports is moving forward with our plan to have the Canadian public compose the new Hockey Night in Canada theme song.
This afternoon John Ciccone communicated with Scott Moore of CBC and requested a meeting on Monday to further discuss the issues surrounding the Hockey Theme. At 4:59 PM (one minute before CBC's deadline) Mr. Moore advised that CBC intended to proceed with an announcement of a National contest unless he had the basis for an agreement. Ms. Claman is saddened and disappointed that CBC is not prepared to negotiate further.
On another note, when the hell is Don Cherry gonna die? I mean, I love the guy, but don't you think it's time to retire those horrible pimp suits he wears??? (Hockey Night in Canada for my peeps, yo.)

In regards to the Hockey Night in Canada theme, while I will be disappointed if its scraped due to royalties and copyright infringements, we have a perfectly good substitute right here:
Does that include LaFontaine when he was a Ranger?![]()
If they replace the hockey night theme song with Stompin Toms, I'd be one happy man. Props to you for that idea Zephayra.
EDIT - CTV BUYS THE RIGHTS TO THE HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA THEME SONG
...
So any of the Leafs fans surprised about the Darcy Tucker buyout like I am?
I'd rather have seen McCabe gone.
