The take-home-message is that there is a place for everything. The Auctionhouse is not the place to discuss how one feels about the offer or request of another. If one can manage to keep the discussion civil, then it can be taken to General, though chances are it will end up here anyway. On the FB anything can be discussed in great length.

You will notice that the FB thread crapping and the AH thread crapping are entirely different things. At the AH anything that doesn't relate to the actual transaction is "off-topic". On the FB only hardcore thread crappers will get in trouble.

Please inform me if you feel that I am wrong, but I believe it is not an unreasonable request to keep the Auctionhouse strictly business and no noise. I believe it helps the buyers and sellers. Look at the bottom of the board, we have close to 3000 users (I just purged most 0 post users, and all inactive ones older than 30 days.). Of those not all that many post, but many read. They come here for information. If the noise overpowers the signal (so to speak), then QCDN will become useless to those who do not wish to spend their day on the Flameboard.

All i can say is there is a reason that noone has fully upgraded relic.

I know of one fully upgraded relic on the server, and another that is in the final stage.

The problem is the lack of coins flat out. There are a few very wealthy JP that are trying to finish thier upgrades right now, and money isnt the issue. :?

I think prices will eventually stabilize when they are done buying them up at whatever price; that is... as long as we dont start doing the same.

I know about people that are that far too.. wanna know how they are that far (or how Mariox is so far too?) THEY HAVE HELP D: zomg... help.. people in their dynamis LS and other dynamis LS helped them get coins for a cheaper price or they had their end game LSs helping them.. even if the people got nothing in return. That's kinda why the JP did some wyrms awhile back.. get the items, sell em, finish Lucifar's last upgrade. It's sad that no one on the NA side seems to give a shit to be like that though.

If I can trade all my M.silvers to L.jadeshells I'd be near 80% done with 3rd upgrade. (trying to do that now).

I had second upgrade compleated before any NA (that I know about) started upgrading. I could check bazzars at random and find coins at 5K, NA bazzars, JP bazzars. And now its realy slow going for me and anyone without help.

And if JP price is actuly 40K singles, why is Apui (right spelling?) keep shouting for 15K per single in jeuno?

Anyway, I may be part of a private Dynamis here shortly. I will never upgrade a relic weapon and I will never sell the coins I receive from Dynamis. The Dynamis that I will be involved in will be for the sole purpose of trying to get an NA a relic weapon and folks like me full AF2 Ranger and Ninja(that is my goal). Most likely someone you have never heard of because they don't act like idiots on these boards and don't brag of their accomplishments. There are a few candidates for this, but the details still need to be worked out and the time of the runs needs to be right, and currently we are very focused on CoP.

So to add to this debate - yes, there is cooperation on this server. Yes, an NA will get a relic with help from many others. QCDN is not the Encyclopaedia of our server. Many things happen and many items are attained under the radar of these message boards, but according to most here this could never be possible or I must be full of shit.

It is sad that I look for posts regarding relic and have to see greedy, egotiscal, morons like Peregrine derail a thread. Just stay the fuck away from QCDN please.

Good luck to Elle, Mariox, Decidence, and whomever else is working on this. Just a few weeks ago I sold all my coins for 5k each ~ an extra 100k or so is trivial at this point to me, but could mean a ton to someone buying in bulk. I just wish I would have kept them to give them to an NA for free.

You shouldn't even have to ask why Apui is shouting in Jeuno to buy coins for 15k. He probably turned around and sold any he bought for 40, knowing that people have it set in their mind right now that 15k is a reasonable price. I can't tell if he's legit or if he's just turning tricks. My money would be on turning tricks. I've already seen a couple NA players who miraculously decided to start upgrading the second these coins started skyrocketing. They know the new price, and they know people are often unaware that the coins have tripled over the past 3 weeks. If you take 30 people into a zone and get 100 coins, that's 3 coins per person ignoring 100 coins. 120k per person. 240k a week stipend just for being in the dynamis shell.

I've made more use out of this forum than all my fanboys who follow me wherever I go, no matter what I say, combined. I filled the roster of two dynamis shells with QCDN. I did all my zilarts with QCDN setups. All my CoPs with QCDN posters. All my BC runs--unloaded dozens of millions of gil onto these people just because they signed up. Why? Because I can't do pickup these days. Everything I do has to be scheduled, planned, and alotted.

Haven't followed all of this, but I'd like to note, trying to keep coins down and pay less is a form of determination. Making it happen when coins can sell as high as 5 million per 100, well...That kind of determination speaks for itself.

I haven't read most of this BS, but I will point out that your generalizing statements about people on our server are really not 100% true. Yea, we are way behind most servers, but there are good people.

Nomar, Wraith, Godofdeath, Elemmire, Phraust, Perfectangel, Aeron, Duffdeliveryguy...That's just to name a few people who have sold me 100 coins for 500k, with 0 binding contract that they'd have to. Shit, Godofdeath gave me a freakin L. Jadeshell for FREE. If it weren't for these peoples, and COUNTLESS others, would I be on Stage III right now? No.

If more people were like them, would I be close to done/completely finished? Yea. But let's remember there are many great people who do want to help. I've gotten tells from people I don't even know, cheering on my progress, asking how close I was, and giving me their extension of help in whatever form they can provide it.

What's the best way to help someone when you hold something of exteme value that they could use? Give it to them. Free if you can handle that kind of handout. Discounted if you want to at least show something for the fact that you once owned it. For months, I've been in sky trying to get a Shining Cloth for Bajaratt to make a Noble's Tunic. I was going to just give it to him until he could get his own. Whenever that would have been, I was going to pass it on to another WHM I know. When I had a V Cloak, I let him use it at will when we did group effort things. He lets me use his V Cloak now, and his Scorpion Harness as well. People who interact like we have will be the ones who finish this.

The richest person on the server isn't the one who deserves this. It would be nice to have 99,999,999,999 gil to blow and just gouge your way through coin prices to hit the end of the road....But ya know, it's been said, and it's true...1 person with one of these weapons isn't going to make everyone suddenly be able to take on anything. But here's something to sit on. When a group of 50+ people work together(more, if you count outside shell members) to help 1 person make ends meet, you've created bonds and a general attitude that could very well make you the first to do something insane like defeat Absolute Virtue.

Relic weapons are a status symbol, but not just for the person who wields them. 50+ people are going to be able to look at that weapon and say, "I helped create this." It's their baby just as much as it is the wielder's. Well, that's if people just get it in their head that's it's worth the team effort.

Before we let people sponser (they paid 1million or 500k since we could have 2 sponsers). It then became apparant some people were bazaaring coins in batallia for profit, which is where a lot of pere's anger and resentment towards people getting coins for cheap may come from. What pere is describing is a new system that we are trying out, and no pere didn't impose this, pere asked in linkshell chat for oppinions on what to do, and people weighed in their oppinions.

My oppinion on the actual arguement: Do what works for you.

For Pere's linkshell, the members with highest attednance aren't actively collecting coins. I keep all records, and when looking through them, the only canidates for a relic weapon would be people who don't give obtaining one a high priority. For our specific linkshell, saving up coins to give one member a relic wouldn't really work out.

For other linkshells with strong bonds, and very big dedication behind it, saving up coins to bestow a weapon on one of its members may be the best thing to do.

For a shell that's very trusting and don't have people who'd buy coins to resell for higher, selling coins at huge discount to members may very well be a good idea.

For people with many friends, or a ton of patience, you can try buying coins at largely discounted prices or collecting personally from dynamis shells. You must realize this would probably take 2years if not more unless you buy at market price, but if you're patient, there's no problem.

For rich people, impatient people, hell even gil buyers, buying them for 40k a pop at abatallia may not be a bad idea.

Do what you want, in this subject there are no real morals (assuming you're honest). So just do what benifits whoever you want to benifit the most, weather it's your linkshell, yourself, the server as a whole, your best friend, or whoever.

I, personally, like an idea odon had for dynamis. 500k/# of people = entrance fee. The 1 coins dropped are collected by the LS leaders and sold off to upgraders for 500k/# of 1 coins dropped. Now, I'd limit this more to prevent people from taking advantage. Such as.. you have to complete the first two upgrades of any relic (not an easy task) to be eligable for the ability to buy coins. If there is no one I say storage until there is one (though since I know Cythe and I are there we'd be eligable ). You have to provide proof of the third stage (dynamis weapon stage.. i.e. for me Dynamis Sword) and the LS helps you out nicely with cheap coins. (For the storage part you'd have to keep records of how many coins dropped per run which shouldn't be hard and then making sure that amount of coins is sold for a total of 500k). This would mean that the entrance fee (which would be cheap) + coins sold off would pay for the hourglass just fine. This would lead to the leader not being able to profit off of dynamis LS, would lead to others not being able to scam people outta coins for profit, allow upgraders to upgrade for a decent price. And as for those not upgrading that pay to enter.. they get chance at either 100 coin or AF2 and everyone (unless you are buying coins would prolly be my own limit added) gets a shot at the synthesis items dropped. Still can make back what you paid to get in and a little extra, get a chance at AF2 or 100 coins, and help upgraders upgrade for a decent price. Lastly.. I'd urge (though not enforce) that people that get 100 coins sell for a decent price to the upgraders in the shell so we would strengthen our shell as a whole. But that's just me and a very select few :\

I admit, I have not really read through this entire thread, nor have I ever been to a dynamis. What's unclear to me is why those who put in time and effort into the dynamis run should yield to those who are on the quest when it comes to coins.

I understand that if we are talking tight-knit group of friends, then those who don't need coins will stand down and let those who do need them have them one way or another.

Those who barely know the other members of the dynamis run, and who most certainly have plans of their own, should be restricted from getting coins?
