Just because you have access to the best gear doesn't make it possible. Assault breastplate BST/PLD/WAR/DRK/SAM, level 75, defense 65. Probably one of the best body armors for tanking next to M. Body because of its high defense. Does that mean that all those jobs can now tank? Any job can sub NIN and get shadows, not all jobs can keep them up. I can guarantee any WAR will have trouble keeping shadows. With Ichi (I know you said I need Ni but..) I lose shadows within 10 seconds guaranteed on a VT mob and if I was to use Ni, the same thing would happen. That means if I was to cast Ni before fight, lose shadows, Ni again (10 sec), then Ichi (another 10 sec), I'd still have 25 seconds left on the timer without haste and there isn't a way in hell I am getting 50%+ haste to cut off the 25 seconds. In order to keep shadows up completely, I need evasion and warrior just doesn't have enough base evasion to blink tank. Maybe in a few instances, they can tank, but in all those instances, they are going to need a lot of WHMs curing which basically cuts down on the desire for WAR tanks to begin with.
Just because you apparently suck at tanking as a war/nin doesn't mean everyone does. You're flat-out ignoring when I tell you I've SEEN a war/nin tank well, without being curebombed like a pld, and that the gear really DOES matter. If they're blink tanking, they'd wear a scorpion harness or an osode, just like a ninja would; in fact most of the nin's great tanking gear warrior can wear as well. It has been done, it is being done, just because you don't see it with whatever LS you run with doesn't mean that it's impossible. Hell, mithe did a damn good tob tanking his way to 75 as a war/nin, so you don't even "need" ni to do it. Yes, a warrior would have a harder time keeping shadows up than a ninja but that doesn't mean it's flat-out impossible. I've dodged a TP move from a god on whm(E evasion) while wearing a vermy cloak which is -10 evasion. It was a fluke, sure but the whole point is it's not impossible for you to evade anything as a war.

You're also acting like there is only going to be one tank used for every fight ever again, when in reality there'd be at least 2 war/nin's and guess what? If one loses all shadows, the other could provoke and blink tank until the other war/nin got shadows back up and they could bounce hate around between them. But then, I'm sure such a tactic is impossible and no one would ever be able to do it.

No, I think I hit it all on the dot with the exception of how base damage is figured. What you don't get is the fact SE DOESN'T want you to have a double attack Faith Bag. with high base damage. I understand the +6% crit only effects one hand or it would if you seperated them; however, what you neglect is the reason Faith have low base damage. Because you are getting one thing at the cost of another. You are getting DA at the cost of base damage. If you main hand destroyers and off hand Faith, you get both. Maybe not completely, but to a greater extent you get both. You get the DA on the off hand and the huge base damage and critical hits for when you weapon skill. If SE intended for you to have the best of both, they would have given you a ridill, but they didn't.

Now you want to add delays from both weapons. That I don't get either. No matter how much I look at it, you go from 348 to 461 delay which is about a 30% increase in delay and there is no way off handing any weapon besides maybe the faith bag. is going to net you enough improvement to make it worthwhile. You'd need to halve the delay to make dual wielding hand-to-hand weapons worthwhile unless you need to sub ninja and DW lowers the delay in some wierd way.
Where the hell is there DA with a higher base damage? You still only get the +9 from faith baghs when you swing with that fist, there's no damage boost at all from when you're using faiths now. And again, the weaponskills aren't going to be significantly higher if you main hand destroyers, because again the differences in damage is 45 vs 36 and monk weaponskills aren't all that powerful anyways. Faith baghs in the left hand wouldn't even be all that great anyways, because faiths in both hands isn't that great either. You're acting like monk wants to tape a ridill to their fist, when it wouldn't even be as good as a joyeuse.

As for the delays, faith baghs are the only super high delay hand-to-hand weapon you'd use in this dual wielding setup. Skaw said earlier about how he'd like to sub his shiva claws which would probably be a much better sub weapon, even at the loss of a small chance of double attack. Yes, if this was implemented, there likely would be some modification so that monks don't attack as slow as a drk, but even if there wasn't it wouldn't completely destroy the job.

There's one thing you're not getting at all, and it's because you don't know that much about monk, so you're applying the formulas of other jobs to a unique job. The idea of dual wielding hand-to-hand weapons would actually weaken monk, because destroyers in both hands would still be the best in terms of pure DD. The idea is to lower pure damage for the benefit of other features, to gain some versatility in the job besides only DD. Meteor cesti would be good for the little boost to subtle blow, Manopoles for the extra +vit for chakra, Shiva's claws or stun jamadhar for the benefit of the status effect hit. It's about versatility at the cost of a minor hit to overall damage; if destroyers were then made only exclusive, then a monk could use 2 destroyers and maintain the same damage.

Lavi, playing Puppetmaster for the 3 months its been around doesn't give you capable insight in to hand-to-hand. I swear to fucking god, people playing warrior forget they have Provoke after a certain level, saying WAR can't tank is probably the most retarded thing I've heard about the job.

And Shaunessy, just go drink some draino. No one can be as stupid as you.

Hey now Skaw, this isn't the burning circle/flameboard or w/e.

How about let us jump in this game? I always feel so stuck to the ground >.>

It wouldn't be practical for exp but it would make some funny ass videos

The entire point was that someone (Skaw) said MNK was useless as far as tanking is concerned because their job abilities aren't suited for it. Slap on a NIN sub and they can do exactly what I can do as warrior except better. Boost is half the hate of a provoke and half the recast. Do the math. MNK has far better evasion, B+, 31 skill levels if I am not mistaken higher than a warrior and they have dodge at their disposal. I just demonstrated that WAR is not exactly suited for tanking beyond the fact we have provoke and defender. Every other ability we have does nothing for tanking and instead MAKES it worse. Berserk? WAR takes more damage, not a real good idea if shadows go down. Aggressor, if I am barely lucky enough to evade anything normally, I am sure as hell not going to evade anything with Aggressor up. But hey, if you both can't keep shadows up with HIGHER evasion and similar hate abilities, you guys must really fucking suck, right? Right back at ya.

Main hand a Destroyer, off hand a Faith. You get the higher base damage of Destroyer counted towards WS and the occasional DA from faith for TP build. From what I have seen MNK weapon skills aren't anything to be laughed at and considering you are a MNK, I don't know why you would. Its true, most of their damage comes from DoT, but if you have DA kicking in half the time on Faith, you should be able to compensate for lower DoT on that particular hand, build TP quicker and WS more often. I asked a similar question earlier about Soburo Sukehiro and with such a low base damage, how it made up for the damage on WS. You responded that the damage will add up and equal or exceed a normal weapon because of the constant WSs. Considering the base damage of the Soboro to the Zanbato (40 to 76) and Faith to Destroyers (36.6 to 45.6) are a far greater loss in base damage plus can hit 1-3 times would even out about the same compared to the faith's 1-2 times. While I don't expect you to be doing WS after WS, I do figure that you'd get a TP 20% faster. I can only assume the Faith Bag. do about 1.5 average attacks per hit and I figure that extra half swing per hit would do enough damage to compensate for the ~20% loss in base damage.

I know enough about monk to know what the job does. Much like anyone knows about other jobs to give some debate about arguments they aren't first hand involved in (commenting on WAR tanking when you have never tanked beyond level 50 as WAR  ). What's the point in having different weapons for main and off hand if it doesn't do anything as far as damage. You said it yourself, if they wanted to maintain damage, they'd have two destroyers. Monk is all about the damage. It's not a support (except for that one new merit ability), it's not a healer, it's not a tank. It IS a DD. Skaw originally talked about how MNKs are losing their edge from being the top DD and then he wants an ability that can only weaken its position as a top DD by having different weapons in each hand? Just doesn't make sense. Yah, I guess I just don't get monks, they want everything including the kitchen sink when their job isn't meant to have a kitchen sink.

Im sorry bout out of that whole worthless post, this is what really made me laugh.

I would choose a WAR/NIN over a MNK/NIN anyday. Provoke is more potent than boost will ever be. And in the time it takes you to cast utsusemi as a MNK, you lose that much time doing what monks REALLY do best. DEALING DAMAGE.

And WAR/NIN somehow doesn't lose out dealing damage by casting? MNK/NIN is a very effective tank. I had a JP MNK/NIN backup tank with me while I leveled NIN pre-Uts:Ni and it worked very well. Mages never got hate once and whenever I lost hate, he seemed to be able to pull it off me rather fast without using anything more than Boost. He was a taru mind you and we had a elvaan or hume MNK/WAR who didn't get hate save for an occasional WS. I don't know how they worked it out entirely, but when he needed to get hate off me, he did and the other monk never got hate even with better damage.

Not to mention the 10% boost in damage for WAR, where as MNK benefits nothing but Utsusemi from NIN. So thats more hate build up for WAR. Boost may be "half hate," which it isn't, but if it was, Provoke is the same amount of hate as 2 boosts. And guess what. 2 boosts is 30 seconds of time. So is Provoke. Also I don't think Lavi understands what "barring subjobs" means.

So because monk has higher evasion, they're therefore better tanks. I know, let's let thf tank EVERYTHING in the game, A+ evasion means they'd be the best tanks eva! And again, you're assuming there will only be one tank on any mob in endgame. With blink tanking, using berserk is a good idea, since the idea of blink tanking is to never get hit, lower defense means nothing.

Yeah, I don't know about a warrior tanking because my war is only 37, but once again you're completely ignoring how I've seen warriors tanking endgame mobs, how Mithe, who I partied with a lot on my way to 75 whm tanked very well as a war/nin. Also, boost isn't nearly as much hate as half a provoke, it's maybe 1/4 provoke at the very most.

Skaw wanted the versatility of a second weapon for monk, then you started with "omg monk will be completely unstoppable and will have a ridill with faith baghs" and then he went into the part about everyone is catching up to monk. You're the one who's thinking monk is going to become some DD god, and ignoring the people who actually know how the job works(they punch stuff =/= understanding the job) who say it won't. You've shown about as much understanding into the job as every other bandwagoner, knowing that they punch mobs doesn't give you any insight into the job at all. No job in the game is just "sit there and hit this button over and over," but you're ignoring that

That monk/war who can't pull hate is what we like to call "gimp." Either through gear or through only using shoulder tackle or not using any JA's or no food, whatever. There's no way a monk/nin outdamaged a monk/war if the monk/war was doing their job.

You're also comparing tanking at low levels when the jobs are all almost the same, once you get to decent levels monk falls behind as a tank. At low levels, drg or sam could tank decently since there's not much setting them apart from war, nin or pld at those levels. At higher levels, monk wouldn't be able to hold enough hate while subbing nin to be an effective tank; because unlike warrior monks get nothing to improve their hate from /nin.

No, what I suggested was the design of the game and the boosted stats on each individual weapon are meant solely for INDIVIDUAL use. As in having the stats from one weapon boosted with the stats of another is overkill. The game allows this for use on one handed weapons and never considered it for changing a two headed weapon into a one handed weapon and then making it dual wielded. Faith Bag. were one example. I also mentioned adding Wagh Bag. because they provide +5acc +18att. Add those stats with the stats of another hand-to-hand weapon and you can possibly break the hand-to-hand weapon. Its not like Dual wielding two axes where the designers designed the axes knowing full well the stats would be used in conjunction with another axe. Its not like designing a shealth for GKs and its a new item, this requires redesign of already pre-existing weapons. You also have to realize a majority of the weapons with good stats or additional effects also aren't the best of weapons for a reason. They are purposely gimped so the additional stats or effects are the main reason to use them and not the damage. DWing them basically takes away half the crappy factor of the weapons when the only reason to wield them in the first place is for that effect. You are basically trying to circumvent the design.

I understand that. Hence why WAR is a bad blink tank at higher levels because the difference at end levels of evasion is just too great. Its ok at lower levels or with dual tanks, but even then it's not the best option. The damage output gets somewhat gimped when you are forced to maintain a certain amount of hate, you can't WS when you want for fear of getting hate, can't warcry when it's best for damage, but when it's good for hate. You might have to cancel berserk/agressor if you lose shadows. All these factors add up when you are concentrated on tanking on tanking and not being a DD. A NIN will still outperform both in blink tanking and do the job of enfeebling too. Yes, it's still possible to tank, but other jobs namely NIN and PLD do it better.

Ok, way to put words in my mouth. I didn't complain that Monk can't tank. I'm complaing that Ninja and Warrior are getting closer to monks damage, while still holding on to, and advancing thier ability to tank. I don't want to tank. What I do want is to not equal out/fall behind in damage to jobs that can.

So it'll "make us too powerful" despite the delay increase that you deemed "huge?" You're a failure at arguing if you keep undermining your previous posts on this topic. Will it be a 30% increase in damage to mix stats to offset the delay? No way. Nothing in the hand to hand arsenal is capable of doing that. Remember, there is no delay reduction in this method, it's a total increase of delay. Quit ignoring that point, when trying to post your bullshit comments. 5 accuracy and 15 attack isn't 30% of my current accuracy and attack.

actually, that's wrong. for a general case in which one can actually deal decent melee dmg, wars mnks and nins are all pretty much on par, and for the tougher things a war can surpass all three jobs with proper equipment. a well equipped war can do more damage and hold more hate while taking just about as much damage as a ninja will in many fights.

I saw a video of a WHM tanking, does that mean a WHM can tank? Just because it can and has been done doesn't mean its the best option.

there's a difference between being able to do it, and being able to be superior at it. in most instances, a good war is the best option, or at least equal to a DD nin. an elite war tanking group is most of the times the superior option because of their pure efficiency.

Or it could have been because the JP MNKs both had +/- enm so they WOULDN'T pull hate unless they wanted to. If it doesn't make sense to you, it's because it's gimp? enmity tends to do very little for jobs that amass large amounts of damage in a short period of time. a blm casting thundaga 3 or a mnk doing a 1k asuran will most certainly pull hate from most tanks; it's very hard to hold back 1000+ dmg that occurs in an instant no matter tank you have. a good mnk/war piles up damage so quickly that it's extremely difficult to hold hate off of them. /war sub provides such a undeniable boost in raw power that generally only elite wars can hold them off.

i'd have to disagree with this statement vehemently. first of all, no job in this game requires evasion to tank. ninjas normally grow up the route thinking that EV is the only way to go, but there are other (and sometimes better) options. second, as monsters become stronger, evasion becomes significantly less effective/useful. with a properly slowed monster, a skilled ninja will be able to to take minimal to no hits even if the monster takes every shadow on every hit. understandably if a war is tanking with only ichi as their option, they'll be spending more time casting than usual, but in the right setup the war can still do the most damage and hold the most hate and take very little in damage. a tank who can combine all three of those qualities is definitely the best option for me.

A NIN will still outperform both in blink tanking and do the job of enfeebling too. Yes, it's still possible to tank, but other jobs namely NIN and PLD do it better.

nin has the extra shadow and can put up great damage, but it's very difficult for them to could keep pace with an elite war, or even mnk (though the main comparison here is with war). as far as enfeebling, the situation has to be extremely dire for me to rely on a ninja for their debuffs. the last time i said to myself "hey ninja, get that slow on" was when me and one other blm were the only ones alive trying to keep control of an after-flailed nidhogg.

for stuff that you can sit and swing at (which is most things except for cop wyrms and other random things), i've never seen any job that could hold hate easier than an elite war. nin can come close but is trumped by the fact that war gets ridill. mnk can generate quite a bit of damage but they require nin sub to tank safely, and that limits their potential quite a bit.

pld obviously is a great tanking job but they require so much maintenance compared to a blinking war that in most instances i'd rather have a war tank.

your argument, as you say, is that other jobs can do it better than war. sorry but i haven't seen any job combination that can hold more hate than a pld and take as little damage as a nin. this in my eyes holds war as the one of the best tanks for most things this game has to offer.

Or it could have been because the JP MNKs both had +/- enm so they WOULDN'T pull hate unless they wanted to.

I was under the impression Enmity modifiers accounted for how fast you shed hate, not how much hate you actually get. The hate aquirement stat is Chr... no? Or does Chr just affect Voke inparticular?

CHR doesn't affect hate in any way shape form or style. CHR has absolutely nothing to do with hate.

Say it with me now.

CHR has absolutely nothing to do with hate.

CHR has absolutely nothing to do with hate.

CHR has absolutely nothing to do with hate.

Now that that's out of the way...

If H2H weapons were adjusted to apply to each fist separately, I don't see how that would overpower monks, even if it didn't increase their delay beyond what it is now. If a main hand Destroyer with a subbed Faith Baghnakh would be "broken", what do you call a main hand Woodville/Maneater with a sub Ridill? Or a main Senjuinrikio with a sub Kclub or sub M.Kris? Monk currently has no options like this. Monk is like a 1.5-handed melee... hits like a one-hander (complete with the caveats of such) but with secondary weapon stats like a two-hander.

First off, you came up with those numbers, I didn't second, you contradict yourself very much. One you want higher damage as per the first paragraph and the second paragraph, you are ok with less damage if you can get better stats. Stick with one. Either you want to get more damage or you don't want more damage. If it's for end game mobs, then just use the stats since they obviously are beneficial. If it's for exp, like Bajaratt said, you'd go for Destroyer's anyways.

The huge delay increase is stupid. What I initially meant is giving yourself the added delay of both weapons undermines the entire point of MNK's high DoT. Monk are awesome DD for their DoT and I still say their WS are good too, but nonetheless it's the DoT which makes them. If you want the idea to be even remote useful without making it useless you NEED to halve the delay of each h2h weapon since they account for both hands to begin with and add them plus the base delay after MA. It might be a good idea, it might not be, but the whole thing hinges on whether the weapons are too powerful to be dual wielded so to speak.

Like I already said twice before, single handed weapons stats are based upon both using one weapon or dual wielding two weapons. When the designers make a new weapon, I am sure they have certain guidlines in which they make them so they are not overpowering another weapon or to downplay one stat while boosting another. Shiva's Claws are an example where the base damage is low, but to make the claws worthwhile, they have paralyze effect which occurs often on Ice day. If you were able to DW two claws, you are basically overriding the low damage for one hand while still getting the paralyze effect to proc quite often. While you might say THF's can use Garuda's dagger in the same way with DW, programmers more than likely considered this before designing it into the game making it a known option. The designers didn't make DW h2h weapons; therefore if they did consider it, you might see a huge nerf to the stats of all your weapons when dual wielded making the point of DWing null.

actually, that's wrong. for a general case in which one can actually deal decent melee dmg, wars mnks and nins are all pretty much on par, and for the tougher things a war can surpass all three jobs with proper equipment. a well equipped war can do more damage and hold more hate while taking just about as much damage as a ninja will in many fights.

there's a difference between being able to do it, and being able to be superior at it. in most instances, a good war is the best option, or at least equal to a DD nin. an elite war tanking group is most of the times the superior option because of their pure efficiency.

enmity tends to do very little for jobs that amass large amounts of damage in a short period of time. a blm casting thundaga 3 or a mnk doing a 1k asuran will most certainly pull hate from most tanks; it's very hard to hold back 1000+ dmg that occurs in an instant no matter tank you have. a good mnk/war piles up damage so quickly that it's extremely difficult to hold hate off of them. /war sub provides such a undeniable boost in raw power that generally only elite wars can hold them off.

I was mainly referring to exp parties since that's about all I do these days. I don't do much end game as I have lost all taste for it at the moment, but since you bring it up... How many well equipped warriors are there, especially NA? 90% are in your shell so you'd know about it, but beyond that, most members of this forum haven't even done Nidhogg let alone seen it.

But when it comes to exp parties which is where I have drawn most of my experience from (I haven't done many HNMs and none in recent months), NIN will always be better than a WAR or MNK because of the evasion. The whole idea behind it is the less hits done means less curing and less down time. Its all about efficiency and I am sure everyone knows about that. WAR tanking is going to interrupt their swings and lower their overall damage. I'd rather have the NIN take the time, enfeeble and tank while the warrior DD rather than the opposite. It's how most cannons are setup and there is a reason and logic to it.

Most of the warriors I have seen hate tanking beyond level 40 or so. I know I do. I can't deal damage as well, it's been parsed and I do less while trying to tank both because of my style and because of my gear. I can do it, but it also means I am more likely to die. In my experience, it takes a lot of backup work in experience parties to have a WAR tank, far more than say a NIN or PLD, and often times, there is a good chance I will die once or twice easily in a 2 hour party. Not a huge deal if I am making good exp, but that's ~1200 exp each death and 10+ mins lost of time. To be honest, I cannot trust any healer in a party to perform well enough to keep me alive and that's mainly why I don't like it and I don't see WAR as a good tank. As NIN I can outperform as a tank both in keeping hate and without the need of assistance (I don't even remember when I was last hasted, even slowed I can still manage to keep shadows up too) far better than I can as WAR. This is in part due to Ni, but even pre:Ni, my evasion was sufficient to tank using only Ichi even with the same armor setup for WAR.

But in the instances I have witnessed as far as exp or lesser NMs, a MNK can do both what a NIN can do and WAR can do, but better than a WAR. I've seen a MNK/NIN tank Ose which isn't easy when he is constantly double (or is it triple?) attacking. Even for a 75 NIN it wasn't easy and the MNK still had trouble, but far less than a WAR did. It was all about evasion in that situation, no problems with hate, but it still worked. The instance where I was a NIN with the JP monk is another. I don't know how he was able to gain hate like he did (its a mystery to me), but he could do it and the second monk whom was not gimp like Bajaratt wants to believe (not that it matters, at that level, the difference between gimp and elite is 1 def on HQ armor), never got hate because they both intended it to work like that. It was a level 33-36 party for the record. And there have been times where MNKs tank in KRT parties.

My point is just this, MNK aren't deficient. They are anything but. MNK has a self healing ability, a long range instant claiming ability which can also be used for large amounts of damage on end game mobs, they now have Formless strike which enables them to do damage on physically resistant mobs, have top damage in experience parties, can tank to a certain degree, among many other things. In my opinion MNK isn't lacking anything beyond JSE. However, even if SE was to institute JSE for MNK, you can almost be assured it's not going to trump all the past elite armor choices and maybe 1-2 are decent pieces or situational at best. YOu have to realize all jobs have something and MNKs although damage is what they are mainly known for and even if they are slowly losing ground as you say they are, they still have many other things which make them extremely valuable. MNK isn't even close to becoming some washed up RNG now or any time in the future.

i wasn't excluding exp parties from my argument, though i did bring up a few instances of HNM because i felt it broadened and supported my argument. either way, leave out HNM's if you'd like and war still is #1. and really, it doesn't take anything out of the ordinary to be a well-equipped war. only adaman hauberk and ridill are hard to access, and if you compiled the rest any war could do extremely well otherwise. elite wars beat other elite jobs, but a good war still can do almost as good as those other elite jobs.

But when it comes to exp parties which is where I have drawn most of my experience from (I haven't done many HNMs and none in recent months), NIN will always be better than a WAR or MNK because of the evasion. i was going to, for clarity's sake, divide this part of the discussion into merit vs pre-merit. however, since you seem to be including cannons, then i'll just make the general statements assuming so.

i don't think you really understand how useless and inefficient evasion is in a cannon. trust me, you don't have to explain to me that getting hit less means less curing, as i have a ninja myself. in the end, not only are monsters significantly more accurate, almost everything you can exp on is extremely easy to tank. let me be more clear on these two points:

monsters which are much higher level than you have a much, much easier time taking your shadows away even if you stack tons of evasion. it's almost to the point where 10-20 more on top of 50 seems meaningless. if this is the case (which it really is for most exp parties), you're better off just using gear which increases your damage since evasion provides minimal benefits. at that level, the only real difference nin has in tanking ability is one more shadow, and that's it.

also, you'll almost always have someone who can slow monsters, and in addition to that elegy them. slow alone is enough for a 74 war/nin to tank with ni and ichi. elegy in addition to that makes it enough for a 74 war/nin to tank with ichi and nothing else. proper debuffs makes just about everything very easy to tank for a war. a good war will have zero problems getting his spells on.

i understand your point about wars doing less damage because they're busy casting, but even with that in regard they'll still outdamage other jobs at the same time. ninja only gets one more shadow, and maybe a couple extra hits for the lucky evade, but that's about it. the war will do more damage than other jobs, hold more hate than other jobs, and take about as much damage as a ninja will. this is a true model of efficiency.

and as far as how your cannons are setup: any ninja who even bothers wasting time debuffing in a cannon is wasting their money, their time, and their exp.

Most of the warriors I have seen hate tanking beyond level 40 or so. I know I do. I can't deal damage as well, it's been parsed and I do less while trying to tank both because of my style and because of my gear. I can do it, but it also means I am more likely to die. i understand that based on your personal experiences, you prefer nin as a tank, and that's ok. in my experiences i think nin is the safer tank while i'm on war, but oftentimes they're just dead weight to me. for most of my levels as war i've been the tank, regardless of whether i have a pld or nin or even another war in my party. i don't die and i don't normally get downtime and the exp would be much faster if i there were more wars instead of a pld or nin tapping away at the monster. doing less damage than i normally do is irrelevant if my pt is killing monsters at a much quicker pace.

i trust in the ability of warrior to tank and in my experiences they've done just fine and definitely better than any pld tank pt. still as i said, the only tank i really prefer over war is nin, as a good one can usually keep hate away from me (and it's just much more simple for them to handle all the tanking duties).

Then why do I see so many PLDs with Angel Rings at 74+? ;- ;
And isn't there a CHR bonus in its AF?

But I really wouldn't know. I mean, as Bard, I have high CHR, but songs (I presume) don't grab alot of hate. I guess I got the assumption that CHR affest emnity off the street.
