Ithenas, the Thief of Today

Wow. I don't understand this at all. I thought Ith was a much better person than this :(.

I have had a couple of friends leave the game and give me things, gil when they leave, and every time they do it...no matter how much they say "I won't be back, it's yours forever." I still consider it theirs because I didn't do a thing but be their friend, and I didn't earn any of it or want any of their shit, and if they ever come back, whatever I have that they gave me, will be returned to them immediately. That's what you do.

I even had a friend argue with me when they came back about how a certain item was mine and not theirs because they full out gave it to me, and I ignored them and sent it back to them. I knew that I hadn't earned it in any way and that it was 150% theirs and that they deserved it. I'm very sorry to see that not everyone feels that way. Seriously, if you're the type of person that feels that it's yours if they come back because they gave it to you, you aren't really that great of a friend or person to begin with and they shouldn't have given you anything when they left period.

Ith, I've been a friend (albiet prolly not a really close one :/ ) but I seriously can't consider you one anymore after what I've seen. Good people just don't do what you've done, period, there's no excuse for it.

You might have had a leg (sort of :/ ) to stand on if JONAS had actually been the one to say, "Here bud, it's yours, I'm quitting, I'll never be back bitch - Jonasstyle" but the fact that someone that borrowed it from him, didn't even own it himself, GAVE it to you, means that you need to give it back. He earned it, and it's clearly his, and he wants it back.

Jonas could care less I'm sure if you ever do, all he's learned is who his real friends are out of this, and that's the most important thing in this game I'm sure...but it would show that you are a good person instead of a materialistic one...and the fact that a good friend of his that IS a high lvl crafter that he can use to make gil is awesome for him, and isn't really something to make fun of him for especially you, because at least he has a really good friend that trusts the fact that he would give it back in a heartbeat if they ever wanted it back and wouldn't abuse that friendship. And he will give it back if that day ever comes, that's Jonas, not always pretty, but at least he's honest with you, sometimes brutally so...

I swear, even the nicest, coolest people, when the shit hits the fan and they have to make an actual moral decision, can be real idiots in the end :(. How sad for them...

That says it all. I wasn't arguing semantics with you. I bet you weren't even present when the transaction between Jonas and Atf happened. In fact, I know you weren't. You don't know what was said, you're making greedy little assumptions to benefit yourself in what sad little ways you can, apparently even if it means sacrificing your integrity.

So please, explain to me. Are you a mind reader? Because if you were not present when the transaction was made... how do you know what was said? "Because I said so." or "I don't care." doesn't cut it.

Sadly, stupidity has a knack for getting its own way. Also, it’s sad that a little coward such as yourself has to steal to get anywhere in this little world of FFXI, and can't offer up an decent argument without resorting to insults.
 
aa yes, i guess that's why i loan out my gigant mantle twice a week to the tanks in ESP, not to mention the number of times i've let Bjornar and other people use the osode i have while i was XPing pld. And i suppose damita stouter and myihta aren't friends either, i mean i only static with them and talk with them on a regular basis, not to mention we trade gear around like it's a swap meet. and i suppose when i've freely offered a few mil gil to meikolia so she could work on goldsmithing isn't the sign of a friend either. Or that fact that i offered to forefit my share of a set of BCNM60 drops to take river gaiters and give them to meikolia free of charge when she wasn't involved in the BC fight. O yea, i suppose that spending hours of time doing genkai for the friend of mine that got me started on this game doesn't count either, or the fact that i supply him with gil whenever he quits and comes back. I'd also have to guess that despite no longer needing anything from sky i still show up as much as i can to help out my LS mates who doen't yet have their gear, despite the personal costs to me. I'd guess that helping dresdan lead his LS while he sorts some things out isn't the sign of a friend either. Or that i freely let him borrow gear and gil whenever he asks.

There are people in this game that i do hold dear, and they are a precious few. I'd go to the hell and back for them and don't you DARE assume that because i did something that some of jonas' friends find questionable, partly because 95% of the time we spent in FFXI his was jerk off towards me or my friends for no reason, despite my best efforts, that there is nobody i care about. Push one of my friends and see if i don't push back. Most likely i would have returned his bow if the first time i saw him in game a few days ago he hadn't checked me and screamed "BOW!" and then said something to the effect of "ESP? why are you with those gimps" So fuck off kat, you and prophecy and jonas and kireek and anybody else. Leave me and my friends be and i'll do likewise to you.

I was very present when jonas gave his stuff atfgame. I was sitting in port jeuno by the the signet guy when i saw jonas say something to the effect of "Hello, i'm just on to make Atfgame a rich bastard, then i'm gone"

As opposed to jonas who after talking to me once decided go around my back and try to get people in my shell to convince me to return my bow. He is more than just useful. He is a friend to most of the people around him. After listening to both Jonas and him, I decided I didn't want to touch the issue since it should just be between them. There is nothing you nor I can do about it Firestreak. Just let them resolve it. It was the same deal with the Osode a while back.
 
You say you saw the transaction, yet did you see their tells? I'm sure you didn't. Just because it wasn't said in your plain view doesn't mean it wasn't said. I doubt you even saw the exchange happen as you said you did. All you have is your assumptions on what was or wasn't said. Still. I have some basis of fact, because I've gotten accounts from the people who actually made the transaction.

And yes, I do keep responding, and I keep responding, because you're still trying to rip my friend off. As long as you fight, I'll keep at it too. The stupidity of it all, is that as long as you decide to be a jerk and keep this little game of theft up, there's not really anything anyone can do but spew the truth at you and hope you have some shred of a conscious left to do the right thing.

And, I think you saying "I don't care" perfectly relevant, you saying you don't care shows what kind of person you really are. A person who can't argue with anything but his greed, let alone any real facts you *still* have yet to offer, besides of course your want not to lose the bow and possibly have to work for yourself to get a new one.

Isn't it sad I keep posting though? That statement means nothing to me. Jonas was there, and he posted what happened. We will see when Atf gets online what that side of the story is as well. As for now, I could care less if I continue posting over and over in my friends defence, I'm sure any one else would defend their friends too.

All insults aside, quit dodging the point. You made up that statement about Jonas saying that, he tried talking to you more then once in tell, not going around behind your back, and I belive your responce was "go f**k yourself" if im not mistaken. Then you tried to tell your "friends" that it was never Jonas' bow to begin with. Which we all know it was. Quit lying and face the fact, you're trying to steal it from him because your too greedy and lazy to work for your own.
