This is completely off-topic, and I know I may be asking for a world of trouble as a forum "nobody" emerging with an oft-repeated jab, but the problem's so bad that I just can't restrain myself from saying something any longer. :/
It's apparent that I'm not the
only person who has the damndest time understanding anything Blazn posts, but still ... it feels like I'm analyzing military cipher every time I make the mistake of trudging through his mysterious, encoded gibberish. Joking about it only takes one so far; but the only way I'm going to be able to stop the buzzing in my skull is to address him directly. I know he's heard it before, but my nose isn't going to stop bleeding until he hears it from
me.
So:
Please, friend, lighten up on the Internet idiot-speak. There's something to be said for respecting the fact that not
everything needs to be abbreviated. There's nothing wrong with the occasional "brb," "lol," or abbreviating common game terms from time-to-time ... but you truly abuse the practice.
It may be faster for you to type that way, but realize that the time you save initially is paid for three times over by the people that have to translate it back into English. If you want people to invest their time into reading what you want to say, it's not too much to ask that you invest YOUR time into making it EASIER TO READ.
I know you understand what
you are trying to say, but it's important to understand that people who read your posts read it exactly as you TYPE it, not exactly as you MEAN it. If it looks like a retarded three-year-old on crack was mashing on your keyboard, that's exactly what you're going to sound like to someone reading your goddamned post.
I'm never going to read a Blazn post again. It's nothing personal against you, but the cracking open and decoding of them gives me a migraine. Your unwillingness to do anything more than vomit your thoughts in an unrefined form is irritating, and simply generates in me an unwillingness to digest your thoughts
for you.
Finally, I don't see why you felt that you could convince anyone that you understand even a single character of Japanese, when you have such a difficult time with your native language. Anyone who abbreviates "our" as "r" will never be working for a government's state department as a translator, I can assure you of that.
All of this is aside from the fact that your Japanese party members should have caught wise to you within seconds.
Oh, and by the way: referring to all negative things as "gay"? That's seventh-grade nonsense. It doesn't help your apparent intelligence level in the slightest, and it was already floundering.
Now, on-topic: Yes, you're basically complaining about the language tag. It's meant to show others what language is spoken by you, and give others that might invite you the choice of whether or not that's a probem. Of course, there isn't any "AOL chatroom" language tag, so things might be more difficult for you. -_-
To accuse someone of having a a "Japanese only" attitude, I personally feel that the requirement should be observed in either a search comment or a direct tell. The little "J," "E," or "JE" next to a player's name in /search means very little regarding what sort of invites they'll accept.
