I've finally found a multiplayer shooter I really enjoy. I've gone through the demo repeatedly, the same two levels over and over, and I'm really looking forward to picking up the full game later, and I'll finally get some use out of a Gold subscription to Xbox Live. It's like being dropped into 28 Days Later.

Anyone else picking this up?

Advice: Don't startle the witch. :nono:

With the release of this game... It is so silly how many game of the year contenders there are in 08'. What a great year and a nuts shooter to finish it off. The finished product is amazing tho i only played about 30minutes on my lunch break. I am sure the game will be very short but the will be its strong part.

Oh yeah the demo was a blast!! Only went through it with one other online buddy, but we pwned.

I'll be getting this game for sure. My advise though, because of friendly fire and the rate of chaos when the hordes attack, everyone should stand in a fairly stright line or back to back and shoot in 180's or less. I umm... created some hurt on poor Charlie Brown.

Did they disable the online demo all ready? trying to test it on PC, but its all lulz buy me! ( even though downloaded the pc demo last night. )

Demo still working on the 360 though.

Been playing this since I got it, online versus mode is amazing. I haven't had this much fun in a long ass time. Love this game already.

I really like this one, been playing demo for 2 weeks and the finished product is even better ( and harder too ). It has a lot of "oh shit we are screwed" moment but doesn't really piss you off enough to make you stop playing.

Some friends and I spent hours trying to beat the last stage of 1st campaign, and you do need some team work to beat it. When the mobs and boss start rushing you and situation gets really chaotic, it's pretty hard to remember friendly fire is always on ;)

The difficulty level definitely ramped up from demo to finished product. Neyla and I tried it out yesterday -- he'd never tried the demo -- and I was expecting an easy time of it. Instead, we were regularly getting swarmed and I had a few deaths. We ran out of time and didn't get a chance to finish the "No Mercy" finale, but I certainly think I'll be getting my money's worth from this title.

I've got to go online and trying playing it with a full group at some point. That's gotta be completely insane.

I installed this on my computer last night. I was just messing around with the single player game and I must say that the AI buddies do a really good job. I had a blast with it. I thought I had played for ~30 minutes and it turned out two hours had passed. That is always a sign of an enjoyable game.

There's only two things I wanna see

a real Survival Mode where even ammo is limited

and

a mod with the players being marines and the enemy being aliens (as in Alien and Aliens and all that good stuffs) and in those proper settings :P AvP was ok, but I think with L4D's AI Director and whatnot, it'd be better in this :D

Played it more last night after I got a feel for the versus play and man this game really emphasizes the teamwork aspect of a game. If you don't stick together in versus you will not win, I know this because I caught the other team separated at one point and well safe to say their members got picked off fast...love this game.

Probably gonna pick this up tomorrow, had some fun times with the demo.

Heh, here's another important tip: When you're in the airport, don't walk through the metal detectors. The results were... unfortunate.

Osi, Jer, Makelith and myself were playing this last night and I must say, this game is fun as all hell and funny at times too. I remember we were doing the Death Toll campaign and I died right at the very last second of the campaign where you have to get onto the rescue boat, the pier started to catch on fire and broke apart as I was running on it and happened to die, and when the credits rolled it said "In Memory of Eleib" haha.

Easily one of the most fun shooters I've bought this year.

"I guess he just don't survive."

"This film was made in dedication to Elieb"

Dear lord, that was hilarious.

I shed a little tear for Eleib...

Even just from the demo I liked how the AI adjusted to how well (or poor) you were doing. Same for the music, it adjusts and adds a ton of atmosphere.

My friend and I were playing just the demo on normal. In the parking garage there was a Tank (the big mother fucker from the intro) the first time. The second time we played we got ready and he wasn't there, but instead there was a witch by the garage door. I'm seriously considering picking this up.

Advice: Molotovs do NOT kill the witch. It just makes her run at you screaming and on fire, which admittedly is funny as hell if its not you.

LOL im lookin forward to tryin it out soon too. So many games, so little time /sigh

It's fun, but it's so limited. I'm kinda surprised at the lack of weapon choices and enemy types.
