Um... That came out wrong. Oxymoron here. Rather, I've seen some Bomb Tosses....

I've witnessed an enormous variety of bomb tosses in my day of playing. Of course, the most frequent one is the moderate damage one that it throws at the tank. The second most frequent one is the one when it's usually almost dead that it throws, but drops it on it's self which usually kills it. Sometimes, however, I've seen the odd Goblin "nuke" as some put it, dealing like 800 damage to the whole party at around Lv55, even with Barfira on. I've seen lots of Bomb Tosses where they just throw a huge nuke that decimates an entire party in one blow. However, since that's only happened like twice in my whole time ever playing, I'd say you'd be better off just using Stoneskin, Regen, and Barfira. Haste on the NIN if there is one of course.
Rule of thumb: If going against a crab, use Barwatera, if going up against a goblin, use Barfira.
The last one that you're thinking of is when they suicide at nearly full life. It can one-shot most jobs, just due to the sheer amount of hp they have, which is the basis of the damage for dropped bombs.

Lol this flame is so stupid...cry me a fuckin river he called you gimp, so what.

And seriously if you're freaking out over not getting haste asap, then you're in for hell as a ninja, learn to wait at least a few seconds...and bard songs would be "Effects on party members" which you obviously dont want to filter, unless you like not seeing that the brd is casting cure 3 on the pld and he has 200 hp left and you like casting Cure 3 for 0 hp.

And as for blms stunning bombs...if they drop early it can do 900-1100 dmg from my experience in bibiki which is well over 500k exp...so yea how much hp do taru's have again? Adn stunning bombs when the gob is at like 10% health is obviously good to do since whats the point in 2-6 ppl taking 200 dmg when the mob will die in about 10 seconds any way? And as a tanks perspective, stunning is really nice to do regardless, blms should always be paying attention for either bombs or when the nin keeps getting interupted and stun away.

I didn't think I'd delevel straight to Lv 5 if I got killed... I'll have to be a bit more careful.

Neo you're such a shit^^.

Instead of making a retarded joke that wasn't anything about what i said, try actually having some kind of response to me going against what you said.

I just spent the last 10 mins laughing at that

this just goes to show how dumb melee really are. serioiusly

yes bomb toss can do decent amount of damage with barfira up its less likely though, especially if the whm's enhancing magic is capped. i can pay attention all i want but if i'm mid cast or resting back mp after the mb fthat i'm not gonna stand up or cancel a spell the cast stun when its going to be late.

bitch at a tank, make them run away from the party and save the whm the trouble, its not hard i do it so dont give me any shit about it. i do my part the handle bombs with any job i play what do you do?

another thing, it doesn't justify mabel's ruid actions or attitude. so why dont you go back to page one and reread the flames then come back with a decent arguement.

I can say the same thing to just about every job in the game. The majority of players are stupid, and the majority of players follow one of three paths:

1) The jackass mage: This guy levels a mage job for quick invites and then treats everyone like they're ignorant to how the game works. Most of these people are Black Mages. Also, these guys usually think Warriors are perfectly acceptable as a solo tank compared to a Paladin or Ninja.

2) The simple-minded melee: This is your melee who doesn't understand that Accuracy Equipment should not be paired with Accuracy Food. He acts as though he knows everything about the game and wears DEX rings.

3) The gimped tank: Most of these are Paladin. Despite the fact that the job of the healer is now increased due to your gimpiness, you also don't know how to hold hate. Ninjas also usually only use Utsusemi.

Mostly everyone is in group 2. I imagine that many of you fall in one of these three groups. If not, you're not a bad player. Too bad good players are harder to come by.

Nobody is saying you should stop casting for stun, but if you aren't casting... cast stun! The concept isn't that hard to understand.

As a Paladin, I do this. However, I'm usually grouped with that dumb White Mage who hangs out by the melees, anyway. And what would you know, the dumb melees usually chase the mob or don't back up at all. As a tank, you're not always going to catch Bomb Toss, just like a Black Mage won't always catch one, but having a Paladin run from it takes much more coordination and timing than does casting stun (assuming you're doing nothing at the moment). By the time the goblin drops the bomb, you're probably waiting on a skillchain, anyway, so I don't see what the big deal is... unless you're an overnuking Black Mage or the melees in your party are gimped.

Her actions seemed pretty justified to me. The other day I was in a party that got 22,000 EXP and I had wanted to leave two hours before I actually did leave. When I left, the Black Mage got all pissy at me because I wouldn't stay another 7,000 EXP. Now, call me selfish if you want to, but when I say I'm going to leave at a certain time (I usually give over an hour or so of a notice) and I can't find a replacement, well, tough luck. I'll try to stay extra time, but asking me to stay up past 2:00 AM to get you your level when you already dinged once is pretty ridiculous.

The leaving isn't the attitude/action that's in question, it's leaving without warning or finding a replacement. That's what people have a problem with, that's what she's not justifying and there is no excusing it. The fact that she has a history of it is even worse, it shows a complete lack of concern for other players which looks even worse given that she's a whm.

That's too unlikely to even be a good point.

Try partying with a whitemage that uses Barfira. Works wonders. The black mage should be standing up casting drown or whatever they do at the start of a fight, I'm sure they can see it and stun it.

The OP said he can't stun every single bomb toss, and... you CAN'T stun every single bomb toss. I know Zoolander, I couldn't believe it either when I found out Blm's couldn't cast 2 spells at the same time.

Zoolander said:

It's pretty fruitless to get up from heal and pull the stun off if the bomb is gonna go through anyway. Waiting for the line which reads "So and so readies so and so skill" takes time, getting up takes time, waiting for commands to be accessible takes times. It's not impossible to do, but it also isn't easy. Besides, who the fuck leaves 10% on a mob? Hit the MB, you won't ever see 10% on a mob.

Yeah, I mean who needs magic and MP anyway, amirite?

Happy? Not really much to work with when the only examples you have, are ones of rare cases... "Hey you guys, remember that one time that... that one thing happened... yeah". BUT ASK, AND YE SHALL RECIEVE, MATEY!

But did she not say that she asked two people to replace her and both said no?

I'm just trying to be considerate to both sides. I have never actually encountered her ingame, but given what she is saying without consideration to what others are saying, she's seems like she wouldn't leave a party with members who aren't completely retarded. Like if you and I were in her party, I doubt she'd just warp out (just an example - based on the fact I've briefly talked to you once ingame leads me to believe you know how to play your job). Maybe she's wrong? Who knows. Take everything lightly until it happens to you.

Might I bring up Colbwa for a second; he hasn't done a thing to me, so I don't look at him like a jackass. From what I hear about him, though, he sounds like a vicious, uncaring person. But upon talking to him ingame, he appeared to be fairly nice and considerate. Mind you, he wanted something from me (although minor, it was a Silver Ore), but based on his actions and mannerism towards me, I have nothing else to base him on firsthand. I'm just doing the same with her. I like to be a fair person.

Antor said:

She could have asked 30 people to replace her, and all of them could have said no, but she'd STILL be a jerk for warping out on the party without warning.

I have to agree with this also. I always at least give 30 minutes notice when I have to leave, but usually I know how long I can party from the start and will say I have such amount of time to play. Also, I never xp unless I have a minimum of 2 hours on low level jobs and 4 hours on high level jobs, unless I tell the person who sends me the initial /tel (usually when I'm not even seeking), that I'll come but I can only play for [_____] amount of time.

In reading Mabels post though, it appeared to me she had written she had to go and was looking for a replacement. It's been a long day, so mebbe I read it wrong. Therefore, if she did just warp out without notice (even after looking for replacement) that was very rude and inconsiderate indeed.

That's how I read it, too. Maybe we need a further explanation.

I assume that's not the truth, given the fact that she not only did this to the OP's party, but also to Silfer's party..And even her own post defending her seems to mention like 3 other times she did the same sort of thing. I find that kind of funny, actually.

Yah, I just re-read it. When I read it earlier, things were goin' on here in rl and I have to admit I didn't read it very closely. Hence my first response. I was wondering why Baja was still givin' her crap^^.

Anyway, after re-reading it, I see why. It does seem like she has a habit of just warping out. Not good to say the least.
