There was only one Gamecrazy around here until recently. It was in a town with 2 GameStops and 2 EBs lol Not even sure where the next closest one is.
 
I've got no game stores where I live T_T

The nearest one is 20 miles away, so I have to rely on amazon.

The Gamestops around me are all manned by massive douches that never let me leave without massively pressuring me to give them commission on something, so i started shopping at my Gamecrazy, and now i basically run that very store.
 
You do know that GameStop employees don't get commission on anything, right? They have to get a certain amount of reserves and discount card sales a week or they lose their job. They don't do it for money lol
 
yeah they always ask me about titles i want to reserve and up coming dates i want to know and i just want to be like 'dude im from the internets, i probably know more dates then you do'.
 
You know what the greatest thing ever would be? If the ending rick rolls you in MGS 4 :D I'd laugh so hard

Really? Holy shit, lol. That's pretty harsh. We get commission on the number of preorders and cards we sell. I always thought they were being pretty over the top for just a few bucks in commission, but this puts them in a whole new light. I feel sorta sorry for them now, and i'm glad i'm not managing there. How did you do it Lan?
 
I was just really good with people. I worked in retail since I was 15, so I knew how to sell things to people. The only reason I became store manager was because of how well I could sell. As far as operational tasks and stuff, I couldn't care less, but that was what I had an assistant for lol

I believe the key to doing it right is knowing who not to ask. I see it everywhere now, since every store has their own card, whether it GameStop, Best Buy, FYE, whoever. Their employees just go through this prewritten thing and end up scaring customers away. I'd get more into it, but this isn't exactly the right thread lol


Anyways, MGS4 is pretty freaking solid so far, no pun intended. I have had to play with the volume really low and my surround sound off because my girlfriend is sleeping, so I am probably missing some really cool audio, but so far, I am getting what I had hoped for. Not going to ruin anything for anyone, so stopping now.

That reminds me of one of my biggest reasons for getting this game. SEEING RAIDEN DIE!!!
 
You're assuming he will die :P and Raiden seems pretty badass in this one, to me. (though I never really hated Raiden in the first place)
 
He gets stabbed and he stabs himself to hurt Vamp. I hope to god he dies.

but he isn't that bad :P at least he's not Gackt gay (or Gackt based characters...) god I don't get why Square has a stiffy for Gackt >.> (Squall, Vaan, Tidus, and Genesis all based on Gackt :| and only Genesis is somewhat decent).
