as good as machida is, i dont think he will beat rashad. it will be a good fight though.

Whys that? You think Rashads quick enough to catch him? I think itd be a close fight and I'd like to see Machida fight. I could just see rashad get frustrated, much like everyone else seems to.

Also whats up with the lack of title fights coming up? Its planned out to what, 97 with no title fights? Wtf is that about. They planning to do some shit where at UFC 100 its like all title fights or something. Could be cool i guess. Got:

UFC® 95: SANCHEZ vs STEVENSON
UFC® 96: JACKSON vs JARDINE
UFC® 97: SILVA vs. LEITES

Not that those will be bad fight cards, but I do want to see Mir vs. Lesnar. and see Silvas next fight (want to see him lose).

i think rashad will be able to catch machida. i also dont think he will chase him like others have. im not saying machida cant win, just that i dont think he can beat rashad.

I hate that Guida won. Not a big fan of Diaz's personality, but his jits game is tight and I tend to prefer sharp strikers or jiujitsu players over laynpray/gnp types.

I was pulling for Penn too, but GSP really upped his passing game. It was pretty impressive that he was passing BJ's guard pretty much at will. Hearing him talk about his tactic at the post-fight interview was pretty impressive as well. Talking about BJ's shoulders and how he was going to wrestle him to make the blood move to his shoulders so his punches weren't as crisp in the 2nd rd. Also how he commented that BJ's reaction time is really fast but takes him awhile to reset after he reacts. He is a really intelligent fighter. Would love to see him and Anderson Silva go at it.

Yea GSP did his research which is more than I can say for Penn. I had seen Penns conditioning along with some other friends, we discussed how lazy he was getting pretty much depending on his "legacy" or sorts to bring the win...

GSP is impressive all around. When someone wants something bad they work for it, Penn could of had another belt had he worked for it, but he gave up literally.

I think I would pull for Machida in this matchup. From what I remember of Rashad Vs Forrest, Forrest was doing really well against him when they were striking, but then he got taken down and pounded out. Forrest isn't really close to the level of striking I would say Machida is at. I can't see Machida really stopping Rashad either though, I would probably think it would come to a decision for Machida.

Pretty much exactly my thoughts, especially the bolded. I don't really like Diaz either but Guida just bugs the shit out of me. And tbh, i dont think guida should have won the fight. He just held on to Diaz the whole time and didnt do shit. Acouple times i thought Diaz was gonna put him down and atleast diaz was getting something done. All guida did was hold on and really couldnt accomplish shit.

And I did want to see Penn win. I don't like either of their attitudes but it bugged me when GSP said the shit about "he was lucky to have lost to me" when he beat fitch. But you gotta give it to him the man is a good fucking fighter.

On a completely unrelated note, I want to see Bisping vs. Silva. Beat hendo after the next Ultimate FIghter and take it to silva.

bisping will get crushed by silva. if your talkin about anderson silva that is. it took bisping 3 rounds to get a decision on leben.

Who else is a contender to take him down? I guess hendo did do decently till the second round last time. And just because Bisping took time to beat leban doesn't necessarily mean anything. Different fighters, different nights, different crowds, different training camps, everything has an effect.

there is no one in that division that can take out silva. bispings little punch and run shit wont do much good against silva. he seemed scared to mix it up with leben and if he was scared he will be scared of what silva will do to his face.

So when I made my last post I thought it was Leites vs Wanderlei Silva, but its Anderson. I doubt Leites will win, he barely beat Nate Marquardt, in fact the only reason he did was because nate got screwed out of acouple points from iffy fouls and lost a split decision. Could be an okay fight I guess but I don't think Silva will be going down yet.

Anyone watch 95? Liked it better than 94 because less fights went to decision, although I did feel acouple of the fights got stopped a little premature. Not that they wouldnt have ended the same, but I would have rather seen the dude get popped acouple more times. Especially because then Koscheck and that other dude just complained the whole time, so if they woulda got knocked the fuck out they wouldnt have said shit.

was actually a good night of fights for being free.

that is true for the most part lol. nothing can beat payin to watch kimbo go down to a chump though :D

:woot:

He and Lesner should drop down a few notches and take their places in line like the rest of the hard working boys of UFC :dur:

Because Lesnar didn't beat Randy Coutuer... oh wait he did. Say what you will, but he beat the champ and thats that. Not like they blew up his amazingness and he sucked dick like kimbo, they can't really be compared.

Is he gonna keep the belt? Who knows but he still won and is the champ now and whether you think he deserved the shot or not he won so you cant knock him for that.

Couture is 45 years old... Lesnar is 31. Couture is many years out of his prime. Lesnar was also 45 lbs. heavier than Couture. Put lesnar up against someone who is in or near there prime and around his weight and then see what Lesnar can do. *Cough* Fedor *Cough*

You're right, he did and is. Doesn't change the fact I think he should have started at the back of the line like most others. Work his way through the ranks to a title shot and THEN beat the champ. Perhaps that belt would have been defended by a different champ.
