MMA

Yeah, 108 was set to be an amazing card, and although I wouldnt say its bad now its def no where near as good as it was. I'm looking forward to this fight at 110 tho:

Middleweight Bout: Wanderlei Silva vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama

Sexiyama is the man

Ill only watch a Vanderlai (Fuck that i dont use no Ws) match for the fact he'll slug it out and go to war with anyone. However as a fighter, i dont think hes the same, nor do i think he can make a serious run at some gold

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (AP) - A friend of UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar says the ultimate fighter is back at his home in Alexandria, Minn., recovering from a bacterial infection.

Larry Novotny says Lesnar was released from a hospital in Bismarck, N.D., on Tuesday and won't make any decisions about his career until his health has improved. Novotny is Lesnar's chiropractor.

Lesnar grew up on a dairy farm in Webster, S.D., and is a former wrestler at Bismarck State College. He was an NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion, and later wrestled professionally with World Wrestling Entertainment.

He announced last month he was withdrawing from his Nov. 21 UFC title defense match because of an unspecified illness.

WEC tonight, Aldo and Brown should be a good match.

Pretty fun to watch. Aldo just seemed to have more tools to use than Brown. I am curious what Aldo walks around at though. He looked pretty massive compared to Brown, who I think is supposed to be one of the bigger featherweights.

Going into that fight I didn't really want either of them to win since I like them both, but I'm not angry at the outcome. Aldo looked good and I'm happy hes the new champion. I love watching WEC cards, always packed with good fights. It's a shame they don't get paid more.

Pretty much felt the same. I'd say overall that was a weaker WEC card last night, not fighters wise, but alot of decisions and those fights are usually quite a bit more explosive. I really like Mike Brown, it is to bad he lost, but I also like Aldo, hes a sick fighter and finishes fights quick. That double flying knee on cub swanson was sick, so I can't say I'm disappointed hes the new champ either. Atleast Brown beat Urijah again to show it wasn't a fluke and owned Leonard Garcia, that kid does have some heavy hands but he just bugs me.

106 streaming. Get it while it's hot!

Results: Spoilered by request. (Sorry Morcheeba, I never look at my moggle comment things so I had no clue what you were talking about when you PM'd me lol)

Amir whatever vs Some Guy. I missed the fight because Sopcast is being rude.

Spoiler:
Amir won.

Antonio Rogerio v Luiz Cain:

Spoiler:
Little Nog wins. Brutal stoppage by strikes in a very young first round.

Paulo Thiago v Jacob Volkmann (Gettin sick of all the Thiagos. Can't keep track anymore)

Spoiler:
Thiago wins a 3 round tech-fest. Great wrestling match.

Filler fight; Kendall Grove v some dude, Roshaw I think it was? (Leave me alone, I was playing MW2)

Spoiler:
Grove by triangle in the first.

Johnson v Koscheck!

Spoiler:
In a fight featuring 3 breaks from eye pokes, Koscheck makes Johnson his bitch by busting him open and choking him out at the end of the second.

Ortiz v Griffin II!

Spoiler:
Round 1 Tito, Round 2 could've gone either way, Round 3 all Forrest, big time. Tito basically stood there and got punched for five minutes. Griffin wins the split decision. Tito had some tasteless comments afterwards, inviting any of the booing fans to "Come in here and do this shit" after he more or less blamed the loss on a bulging disc and a cracked skull.

As an aside, this was my first event using SopCast. I highly recommend it! It's not free but it's not expensive either. I plan to use it again tomorrow to watch my Rams get shit kicked by whoever is in line to shit kick them next. Fetch SopCast here!

HOW DO YOU CALL THE NEW YORK BADASS "SOME GUY"! "PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE!" "I'M THE BEST EVA"

I really enjoyed the lil' Nog fight.

D= There were two fights I didn't really pay attention to. One from trying to configure some new software and the other....yeah it was a team death match on MW2, what of it?!?! It sponsored the event, so I'm really only half an asshole! =D

Of course I now hear the first fight was fight of the night ~_~ All I could muster was about 45 seconds of audio. In fact! Not only was I messing with SopCast settings, I was also lurking the whole internets to find a free link to the card! Thus I declare I'm only a quarter asshole!

I haven't watched the fights myself, but I heard Koscheck milked an eye gouge that never happened (faked a sore left when if anything it would have been his right) then proceeded to purposely poke his opponent twice, the first time after blinding him followed with a fist.

I need to watch it but at this point I'd take my bf's word >.>

Idk if he was milking the eye, it looked more like Johnson kneed koschecks arm into hit eye, which could have been hit by a punch earlier. Also regardless it was an illegal knee to a grounded opponent. Koscheck did poke him, the first time he put hit hand out like normal and johnson came forward into it, the second one did look more of like an open handed punch, but shit happens. It didn't really seem to affect his vision reall, more piss him off than anything but who knows i guess. Either way tho koscheck took him down and dominated him on the ground, and dana didn't say anything about the pokes and he doesnt like koscheck so yeah.

Dana White himself said they looked into some tape and saw that Koschecks eye was indeed poked. Its hard to see it really, but if there was any sign that Koscheck was milking it, i can bet you Dana wouldve said something.

Also, wether he milked it or not is a moot point, it was an illegal blow. Koscheck couldve said he couldnt continue and gotten a W based off DQ, but he didnt, he chose to make Johnson his bitch and he did.

There was an eye poke that Koscheck partook in but i dont think its retalliation, alot of fighters gauge range with an open palm and Kos was doing that as johnson reached in for a punch, i dont think it was intentional but even if it was, it didnt make or break the fight.

If any of you haven't heard of Igor Vovchanchyn then I suggest you watch this HL video, even if you have this is one of the best HL video's I've seen of him. Igor was a true pioneer of the sport and the definition of old school.

Wonder if we got enough people to make a social group for MMA, predicitions, shit like that.

Man, who is there left to fight BJ Penn? I dont think Griffin or Maynard have a chance at beating him.

Kenny Florian looked great, and Guida looked terrible, i hope he can come back strong hes always awesome to watch, but hes beginning to become one dimensional.

Mir vs. Kongo, I hope Mir dont test positive for steroids, ive never seen him way in at 265, hes fucking huge.

Oh, and that Fitch Pierce fight has to be one of the most boring fights i have ever seen, save for maybe the last 30 seconds

I actually see BJ leaving the UFC in the future and going over to Strikeforce / Dream for a challenge. He literally has no one left to fight at 155 that can beat him in my eyes. Dude is a fucking beast.
