Well, the way I see it, these people fall into the
Oh, I think I've grown up now. I can leave my small little hometown in hopes for a bright future in the grand city of Jeuno. I'll pack up my bags with nothing but my hopes and dreams. When I get to Jeuno, everything will be perfect, I'll get a nice chocobo, (the latest model of course), and the people will be friendly, and I'll get a nice place.
Then reality sinks in....you get to Jeuno, EVERYTHING is more expensive than the three smaller cities, people are in a hurry to go everywhere. People are peddling their wares at jacked up prices. The chocobos are more expensive. And basically, if you don't have any money...it's going to be a long walk home. You should basically be saving up for your whole first 20 levels to get your butt to Jeuno, or do what normal people do....fill your gamer head with knowledge so you can survive in Jeuno, ie: get your supplies BEFORE you go to Jeuno.
If you find that nice person in the city that's willing to help you, well, we have a good story. However, I don't think there are many people who are willing to give some random person WHO HAS been able to make it to Jeuno large amounts of gil.....you aren't a no sub job newb anymore.
With that being said, I sound a bit harsh but that's basically what it sounds like. Small townsfolk who aren't prepared for the trek to the big city..lol.
I do give random acts of kindness though. If I see a level 1 newb with that sad little question mark over their head....I chat it up with them and give them 1000 gil if they're cool....1000 gil is like a million dollars at that level..lol.
Dont' get me wrong, I agree, beggars are annoying people who PERSIST askign you.. I don't mind the random /tell, but they better accept my no when I give it. I prefer helping people get money rather than just giving it to them.
