PS3 Official "inFamous" Thread

You referenced Family Guy? O_o

Yes. The episode were the cigarette company makes Peter their president to lobby D.C. Peter turns on them when he realizes Stewie is smoking, selling them down the river. Congress gets riled up, and one member stands up and yells "Cigarettes killed my father, and raped my mother!" I'm saying you dislike Microsoft so much, you blow their actions entirely out of proportion.

Back on topic. First review from the OPMUK magazine. 9/10. Yes there is a mandatory install, small one, only nit pick they had was, at times, you'll sometimes stick to the ledge you might not want to, but it's nothing more than a tiny annoyance. Other than that, they can't think of anything else wrong with it.

Personally I think this game is great. Might end up being my favorite sand box games based on the controls and engine alone - don't know if the mission/stories will be great or not but just playing it is a lot of fun. I realize my opinion might not make it a great game alone, cause I love sandbox superhero games like spiderman, but... this is a lot better than any of those others.

This game is going to be played live by Screwattack on their show Out of the Box at 5pm CST. If your interested you can watch them play and answer user questions about the game.

Their main page will automatically switch to Out of the Box when the show starts. I should note this is more like first impressions than a review.

Edit: Further news. SCEE is bundling the game with 80gb PS3s as well now.

I've played through the demo three or four times and I'm going to buy it as soon as payday rolls around. I'm a big Sly Cooper fan, and the raccoon's DNA is all over this title, along with the mingled love-juices of Grand Theft Auto/Saint's Row and Crackdown.

The controls threw me off at first -- he grabs on to everything, even when you don't want him to -- but I got used to them after multiple grisly deaths.

I love doing the Thunder Punch landing. It's very satisfying to send cars and people flying when you smash into the ground. This may be one of the first games where playing as "Evil" seriously tempts me.

I played the demo aswell. It's actually a fun game. Some controls need a fix but otherwise it seems okay. Sort of like a GTA with super powers.

The length of the demo was shocking for me. I was expecting some 15minute thing but ended up playing it for about 45 minutes. I really like the gameplay, going to be picking this up on tuesday.

yeah, I heard the demo was long so I didn't even start the 1st mission. All I did was jump around town annd shit and it was great. Preordered this on amazon a couple weeks ago and it shipped friday.

My copy of the game should be dispatched this Thursday, high profile titles here in the UK are always out on Fridays.

Anyways, downloading the demo to give it a shot and get used to the controls =)

Picked it up yesterday. Pretty good so far. Zeke's voice acting kind of bugs me. He feels like a less awesome, and less vocally-talented, Roman from GTA4.

There were a lot of people on the playstation forums complaining about glitches but I haven't had any problems yet.

There are random times where you will just run into an alley full of bad guys. Like 10-13 gang members just waiting to blow you away. Narrow alley + lightning = death buffet. Those are the best parts so far, but I'm only two or three story missions in. I've been doing a ton of side missions.

I played for a few hours last night while switching back and forth from the basketball game. I cleared 100% of the first island territories. I just got to the 2nd island. I am going through as a good guy this time. I am hoping the game gets a little harder at least.

Have to say this game was definitely worth the money to me.
