So I find that really interesting and almost "neat" in a sense that finally a stuck up rich person got sentenced fairly for a crime they commited. (Unlike her BFF/notBFF Nichole Richie who was arrested for having drugs, DWI, and a couple other things and walked out of jail that night.) I was watching the news last night and the judge was "proud and felt justified" that he did not let her wealth and social standing deter his judgement. Then of course, Paris' father talks to the media saying its "utterly uncalled for, unfair, horrible and will be appealed."

Maybe they don't know all that much but the sentence can't be appealed. Yay! Its funny that she used the same bull that regular criminals use, stating "she had no idea her lisence was revoked" when she had signed two warnings and had one IN HER GLOVE BOX, for driving while revoked.

As a corrections officer, I pity the jail workers that this stuck up gal is going to spend 45 days in. (Even the white-trashiest of people will page in every 2 minutes asking for this and that this and that because they think they are in a hotel rather than jail, and I imagine she will be no different.) Although I am glad to see that atleast some people still follow the justice system in a fair-but-firm fashion and don't let a persons money do the talking.

Do you think she should of been let off the hook for violating parol again and continuos violations of a revoked drivers lisence because of her social standing?

Discuss~

Me too, hence why I posted it :O

I think I was cackling somewhat evil-ish the entire time I watched the news about ti.

Ohman. Bitch deserves it. XD

QFT.

Eat the rich.

Edit: Seeing as how, and someone correct me if i'm wrong, last time (or at some point in the past) she got community service scrubbing bathrooms in a public transit restroom or something of the sort i've got to wonder which is worse... <.<

I'm lovin' the judge. Put her in her place lol

Wish I could've seen her face when they said 45 days in the jail they said they did lol...

yeah I like the fact she has to serve it in a county jail instead of a DOC or "Camp Fed". I worked in a County Jail and its bare minimum get what you need to survive and nothing more. Its not even "three hots and a cot"! You get grits and milk for breakfast, bologna and bread for lunch, and mystery meat for dinner.

I read a news report that gave a description of what she'd be living in:

LOS ANGELES — Paris Hilton better like chicken. The hotel heiress was sentenced Friday to 45 days at the Century Regional Detention Center, Los Angeles County's jailhouse for women just south of downtown in Lynwood.

Inmates get three low-sodium meals a day, with dinner the only hot meal. Beef and pork aren't permitted — "it's all poultry-based," said Capt. Alice Scott, who oversees the 2,200-inmate facility she describes as "a very nice place."

Like other high-profile Los Angeles County inmates — O.J. Simpson, Robert Blake, Robert Mitchum, Sirhan Sirhan and Charles Manson — Hilton will be segregated from the general population for her own safety, living in a one- or two-person cell.

Her cell will be Spartan: 12-by-8 feet with a toilet, sink and a window 6 inches wide. She'll comb her blonde locks in a mirror made of polished metal.

Breakfast is served between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., hours when Hilton sometimes gets in after a night of partying.

Inmates in segregation are allowed outside their cells for at least an hour each day to shower, watch television in the day room, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, Scott said. There are a bank of phones that use prepaid phone cards — cellular telephones and Blackberries aren't allowed.

Sometimes stars are allowed to do their time in a jail of their choosing. In such cases celebrities pay a daily room-and-board fee to the smaller jails, which afford them more privacy and comfort.

But the judge in Hilton's case wouldn't allow such an arrangement, so she'll head to Lynwood on June 5.

Segregation, or Lock down as we called it, is hard. I've seen grown men cry because they couldnt take being locked in thier room for that long. I remember we had to keep a meth cook locked down for months because he kept making hooch (fermenting orange juice to get a very low alchoholic beverage) and he got so mad he cried and broke his door window with his forehead after a month. He was a manly man too. I wonder what Crazy Paris is like :O

I hope she fucking dies in there. We need less of people like her in this world.

I cracked up when I read that she said "I didn't do it on purpose."

yeah...right...

I think it was that black british model that always goes on rage fits. Naomi Campbell I think...

She also told the judge "she had no idea what she was signing when it came to the warnings about her lisence revocation because she signs whatever is put under her nose without reading it." Who with a decent IQ does that?! Or even says they do to lie!?

Oh hey, cool. Didn't know you were a Correctional Officer too Karihkinz. Yah, I pretty much felt the same way when Joe Francis got locked up at our jail. Asshole deserved it.

Should of happened a long time ago

SHe won't last the first day "WHERES MY BOOZE!?! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!?!?!"

She's been given several opportunities to rectify her DUI and has ignored every one of them. Then she shows up late to her hearing, and her parents get all smart in the mouth to the judge . . . bitch is getting what she deserves, no more no less. If some poor trailer trash did the same thing Paris did they'd get the same treatment (course the only thing that differs between Paris and trailer trash is the bank account).

I hope she fucking dies in there. We need less of people like her in this world.

not really our society could always let her out let her fuck her life up and pay extra fines and go to jail and make our society stronger with more cash inflow

=D

Romper: Yeah Naomi admitted she has bad tantrums and little stuff pisses her off easily, still she is hot as hell

I'd much rather see her have to spend her time with other inmates, it might teach her to respect her freedom a little more.

It's laughable that she was jailed for something so stupid. You'd think the dumbass would get a driver or something, she can sure as hell afford it.

I make arrangements if I'm drinking so that I don't have to drive and I'm hardly rich, I'm sure her stupid ass could figure it out.

I have no pity for these pathetic people, talk about a waste of a lot of money.

You can see where she gets her attitude though if her parents are acting like that. If I had ever done something so stupid my ass would have been in a sling.

Go go justice!

List of violations:

Hilton, 26, pleaded no contest in January to reckless driving stemming from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood. Police said she appeared intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. She had a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent, the level at which an adult driver is in violation of the law.

She was sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines.

Two other traffic stops and failure to enroll in a mandated alcohol education program are what landed the socialite back in court.

On January 15, Hilton was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol. Officers informed her that she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging that she was not to drive, according to papers filed in Superior Court.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies stopped Hilton on February 27 and charged her with violating her probation. Police said she was pulled over about 11 p.m. after authorities saw the car speeding with its headlights off.

Mintz said at the time Hilton wasn't aware her license was suspended. A copy of the document Hilton signed on January 15 was found in the car's glove compartment, court papers say.

Hilton was also required to enroll in an alcohol education program by February 12. As of April 17, she had not enrolled, prosecutors said.

Her Mother said:

When a reporter asked what she thought of the judge's decision, a visibly angry Kathy Hilton responded: "What do you think? This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with all this nonsense. This is a joke."

http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/04/paris.hilton.ap/index.html

Ya, breaking the law is a joke.

It wasn't like it was a minor speeding ticket, it was a DUI. Not only could Paris herself get killed, but she potentially could kill someone else. Then we'd see how much of a joke and waste stuff like this is.

Judge did a good thing. The girl obviously was disregarding anything told to her on paper. Maybe some time sitting in a cell will get the picture across.

Video of her after the sentencing - her world has been turned upsidedown LOL
