Probably never, given the trend of most threads in the Flameboard in the past year or so.

1. OP makes thread, thinks he's won a few internets.
2. Most people lay some beatdown on the OP, because the OP doesn't have a damn leg to stand on.
3. Some people insert one-liner quips.
4. Thread degenerates into the realm of semantics, dumbasses, and "No u".
5. One of us locks the thread because it hasn't really run its course, it just didn't have a course to run.

We're right around #3 currently.

I highly doubt that where you come from has anything to do with the fact you wouldn't whore yourself out for gear, 99% of us are decent enough not to do it. I didn't say here taking advantage of his advances was correct, I said it's easy for you to advice telling him to fuck off when the guy means nothing to you, and you're not a member of his linkshell who may have put in god-knows how much effort (yes, I said this before, but you seem to have missed it). Karmaprince probably wasn't in his shell either, but my example was of someone who was.

Thank you Zyn and Meikolia, it's good to see that there are at least some people who still won't necessarily sell out their girlfriends or whatever for a chance to lot on some gear.

Standards really *are* that low on this server, it seems, if there aren't more people kinda outraged that Karmaprince and Karmaprincess(?) evidently used this jackoff for their own ends and then gripe about him trying to steal "SUMWUNS WUMMIN" away.

You're taking my example as fact, I think you should re-read what I said. I don't even know if Karmaprince was in this guy's shell, so I'm not sure what you're getting at about people selling out their gilfriends to lot on gear.

I see nothing wrong with using the idiot if he's willing to give up his time. Your solution may be to /blist and move on (if you still played), but some people like the idea of revenge.

Like I said, I'm not defending what Karmaprince(ss) did, but getting one over on some idiot like this? I can't say I'm as "outraged" as you say everyone should be.

Well I live in Kent 'down south' as you called it but I've never used the term at all. I think it sounds stupid and not to mention 'chavy'.

My aunt lives in Sutton in Ashfield and my mother is from the same area, and god forbid sounding like that or living in such rough areas. There's another stereotype thrown back at you.

And that's only the midlands, I'd hope to think it gets better as you go up to be honest.

No, I didn't miss anything... I saw what you said and I responded to it. You don't whore yourself out for gear. That's like saying it's ok to go down on your boss at work because he holds the key to promotions. Your logic fails. What kind of person would even continue on in a shell where they have to endure unwanted sexual advances for gear? Is telling him to fuck off the "easy" solution? No. If I put myself in that position, would I still walk away? YES. But then gear isn't as important to me as a level of self-respect and integrity. Guess I'm the exception to the rule these days.

Trust me, you're missing it. I AGREE WITH YOU, you would walk away from the shell, it's a fucking game. However, my point is that it's easy for you to say this, and not so easy for someone who's, oh I don't know, been in the shell for 2 years saving up points from 2 runs a week to get something they wanted. They'd still leave, yes, but it wouldn't be as easy as you said it would be.

You can stop with the "I guess I'm special because I'd leave when nobody else would", as I've never debated that point.

The midlands has Birmingham make of that what you will. I just love how the North is stereotyped time and time again by the media and southerners but the moment anyone from the north makes a quip about the south they get on the defensive. Maybe if we had a government one day that didn't spend all of the country's money on the south us up north wouldn't be so pissed off.

Also being asked if we can get sky and the internet in the north takes the piss. Seriously what do some people in the south think goes on up here? That we spend all day down in the mines or something.

Well then you're "missing it." I never said it was easy. I said it was the right thing to do. I didn't start this game yesterday. I've been in various shells for years and put in my work and time and effort. You're saying this to me as if the idea that she put in work and effort is foreign to me. It's not.

I never make jokes about the north. My mother is from the midlands and not going to lie, I hate going to see family up there it's just not what I like at all. And trust me when I say, it's not a joking matter.

Who is she? The imaginary female in my example? Jesus Christ, it helps if you try and understand what someone's saying before getting all defensive about your morals. You said in your first post that you'd simply tell him to fuck off, and I indicated that it wasn't as easy as you made it sound.

Uh, no, "she" would be the subject of the whole thread? Or am I missing something else? I'm not defensive about my morals at all. I'm asserting that she had a choice and she made a bad one. Not tough to take that from what I said. You are the one who went off on how I'm making it sound easy when I didn't. But whatever. I get it. We're on the same page.
 
Some guys will literally pimp their girlfriends out online--let their girls lead on some poor desperate fuckers for gil and gear and spots in endgame shells.

I know a particular couple like that actually. That might've been what was going on here--this guy lets his girl milk Skilled, then when it stopped being profitable or entertaining, flame and cut bait. I would've felt bad for Skilled if it weren't for the lizard thing. >.>

Maybe you should check out exactly what I am quoting before you comment. Mire you really need to stop getting so butt hurt. If I was to get as butt hurt as you everytime someone who wasn't from the US said something bad about the US while Bush was in office or even still I would have to go shoot myself.
