Princess Bards

son did you not read my earlier response? i've leveled nin and rdm in the days when i had to beat invites off with a stick. do you know what i did to avoid such invites? I went /anon, used a seacom, or responded curtiously. I leveled both jobs knowing what would happen. My mentor prepared me quite well for those days. Thinking ahead will save you alot of trouble.

If you level bard you know you are gonna get hit up for invites alot. You cant stop it. Its a bylaw of leveling the job. If you're angry for whatever reason dont take it out on the random person that took a chance on a non-seeker. they arent the ones that pissed you off in the first place.

I welcome the invites and respectfully decline the ones I don't want.

When you have your Maat's Cap, you can call me "Son".

But you do hold a valid point, one I didn't refute mind you.

I took plenty of chances asking non-seekers getting alot of my jobs up to snuff knowing what I was getting myself into if I asked them.

My point simply is not to cry like a bitch with a skinned knee if you get a rude response, because you're putting yourself out there to get that kind of response...

Also 80% of the people who use the "don't like it don't level it" shit are the same jerkoffs who haven't leveled a worthwhile job.

Love the name of this thread by the way. Doesn't work for all bards but damn it worked for some I knew lol

Except I've only seen a single response along those lines in this thread, and I can't really remember the last time I saw it written on this site lol.

This may just be me but when I was lvling whm, I loved it. It was one of the funnest things I have ever done. But once you hit 75 it just becomes a repeat of the same shit. Cure V, Regen III, Haste, Raise III, "bitch bitch bitch, I can't control hate, my dying is the whms fault". It kind starts to get to you after a while.

It was something tossed into the faces of many of my old members on a consistent basis for bellyachers who didn't want to come the more desirable job versus showing up on their DRG, SMN and the like...

Funny thing it was always by people who didn't have the jobs people griped about coming on... ;x

Me, I gripe but I'd always go what the team needs.

.-.

Anyway s'10pm here. Off to O2 or something. <3

Stay Sleazy Taru. :P

Lec, is this what you say to your biological father as well?

Lec's Dad >> Son, what are you going to do with your life?

Lec << Bitch, I got a Maat's cap..all you did was bone mom and she shat pure excellence..me.

I'm willing to be that's exactly how you go down.

Besides, using words like "son", "kid", "boy", etc. in a derogatory manner, I think, shows the utterer of the word has no class.

Just messing with Lec. Me and him old time pals, didn't mean to come off as insulting him.

Didn't say you were, was saying Zaltana...
Oh boy, now we're in a big ol' confuzzling clusterfuck, aren't we?

Fun fact, most Maat's cap owners are complete noob tards.

I look at it this way: At one point or another, I'll guarantee that pretty much everyone in this thread has either had to start asking people who weren't seeking if they wanted to party, or has been in a party where the leader has had to.

If you claim otherwise, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that you're lying.

So seriously, get the fuck over yourselves if you think being rude to the people who ask politely is acceptable behavior. It takes less effort to respond with a polite auto-translated remark than it does to type out some bullshit tirade about how you weren't seeking and don't want to be bothered.

His own damn fault for gathering five people without looking for any RDMs out there. I generally make it a personal rule to find at least all the "necessities" I need for a party/mission/battle before I just gather random DDs.
I think he made the party either with another rdm in mind that vanished or got another party or he was convinced he could talk a non-seeking rdm to party with such a great set up he was making.

The guilt-trip thing is evident I've often stayed in a party longer than need be because I couldnt find a replacement and the party would end if I left being a key job like a healer or tank. I think sometimes people feel that you should be available 24/7 to party and if you are not /anon you are open to interest in a party maybe.

Ugh, is it just me or does anyone else hate doing that too? When you really need to leave but you stay for extra time looking for an replacement. When people in a party that I leave do that, I just tell them to go and we'll disband if we have to.

Anyway, I've never responded (not any that I can think of) with a rude comment, but I wouldn't be surprised if I got a rude response if I asked someone not seeking. I've asked someone not seeking to party before, haven't done it recently at all though. I've stopped asking non-seeking people after I noticed how annoying it was. I'm not saying it's rude to ask anyone, it's annoying, but not rude. It is rude when you start playing 20 questions with them though. But if what you are looking for is not seeking, then don't make a party because 80% of the time you wont be able to pull that job out your ass.

Note: I got a party invite to Qufim, in the middle of this post, on my RDM lol. Don't get upset if you get ignored either, because they may be afk or just ignoring you like I am doing now.

A list things that have become better off because of not using the "You can't stop it, deal with it" logic.

Black Oppression.
Our country's independance.
Carrot Top.
Emo kids.
Starbucks.
RMT in China.
Priests touching children.
Urat.
Nazis.
The Jonas Brothers(some day..)
Movie games.
Remaking George Lucas films.

Feel free to think up better examples than mine.

Saintgerwho?

The win just doesn't stop with you, does it Raesvelg?

Cold, unflinching logic folks. Spelled out directly for you right there.

Just messing with Lec. Me and him old time pals, didn't mean to come off as insulting him.

And I'd never take it from you that way.

Also, Bootz has a point.

Most Maat's Cap owners just tote the thing around and prove it to be a dunce's cap when you get to watch them in action playing.

And if you're implying I'm a noobtard Bootz, I'm gonna shave your beard!! .-.

...unless you beat me to it. :/

Then I'll just twiddle my thumbs and move on.

Me, I gripe but I'd always go what the team needs.

Speaking of which I need your rdm... xD

On topic, the game mechanic is there. If I'm not flaggued it just means that I don't want to exp. I don't care that you're hurting for a brd and I don't give a flying fuck what you think about the answer I would give you from the silence to the {no thanks} to the "don't you see that I'm not seeking". If my flag is up, I'll be your best buddy for the next 2-3h. Otherwise you'll end up like 99% of the rest of the people who ask. Consider it rude or not but I stand by the gameplay mechanic.

And on Raesvelg said, I'm pretty sure everyone did it. Hell, I do it myself but I know the risk of doing it. I wouldn't start a flame because someone turned me down with fancy words though. It's part of the deal of asking random people. If you aren't comfortable asking random people because you fear their "words", just don't do it. Find an alternative to replace that spot if it comes to that.

MSN me and gimme the details.
I'll be at the casa most of the day but I got called for a job tonight.
Also, you start flames cause you're a flaming Canadian. <3
WHERE'S THE POUTINE BITCH?!

Now comes the question... If you ask bards to party... sending this tell >>> Would you like to merit in a BRD/COR pt?

and they say >>> Nope

and you say >>> kk ty

and a few seconds later...

they say >>> if I wanted to seek, i would

Would you consider that rude?

Here's to Arlet. I asked 19 other bards besides you, almost all said "Oh I can't I'm busy," or "No ty" or just a simple "I'm playing solo right now." and I responded with "kk ty" or "Thank you." etc etc. Yes you are a fucking ++++. Here's to princess bards. I raise my glass to you, and pour it all over your face.

Seriously...?
He said no and just warned you in the future to not ask him again unless he has his flag up? Which as a bard must happen to him all the time.
How was he rude?
He didn't abuse you or swear at you.
Really baffled over this one.

(Before I begin, I'm not Arlet but he was kind enough to show me what really happened.

And I also don't think the response was in any way, shape or form rude.)

I think Palides is a hypocrite for this flame, and the entire flame is a perfect example of distorting the truth by picking and choosing what he mentions. I think the rude one here is Palides, and he ought to be disgusted with the way he acted.
