RDM/NIN epidemic and shitty gear

Make, if EVERY pt didn't want to do Imps I'd agree with you about the buffs but it's not worth it do buffs as Smn vs Imps. No matter how well you time it the Imps always get off Amnesia before the Bp buff goes off thus leaving me screwed with my avatar out being useless. Anything besides that though I try to keep up with BP buffs.

Well thats your fault for doing imps! If you are gonna do super weak mobs then go to the thickets and do puks. You only will have to deal with the AoE flash. Plus, i don't think you can level there as easily if you aren't 75 because of the smattering of mamool ja by the camps.

Teach those whipper snappers a lesson!

Not my fault my pts are full of morons. I prefer Puks/Mamools.

How do you feel about the baconator?

How do you feel about the baconator?

If my brother didnt work at a italian deli pizza place I would say it may be the best sandwich ever, but it's not. Versus burgers from fast food though it probably beats most of them. A&W can put up a good fight against Wendy's.

Oh shit wrong thread.

RDM/NIN in exp kick them the fuck out, and then tell em to level /blm and /whm.

Huh? Vestal? As in... virginity? I'm trying to figure out what you meant to say there, but it's beyond me.

Excuse me. Vessel.

I find it amusing that you think RDM/NIN is too expensive for "alot of us". I'm sure you're Mr. Gilbags in-game and all, but there's plenty more expensive jobs out there than RDM/NIN.

Don't take it to heart, the matter of the fact is NIN is too expensive for alot of people. And NIN being less expensive than a job like Ranger is no secret. There is no reason to argue with fact.

Please. As if only a RDM/NIN can handle that doll. BST can solo, NIN can duo with the RDM that needs it.

I never said only a RDM/NIN can solo it, you're "as if" is you're addition, which is off topic. And sure a NIN can duo it with a RDM. I believe we're talking about Soloing. The difference between RDM and BST soloing such things, is it requires a more intense focus to do it with RDM. That is more gratifying for some of us. But not all i can tell.

Forgive us "sheep" for not falling down and worshiping RDM/NINs. Protip: You aren't all Avesta.

lol I'm not asking anyone to worship RDM/NIN. I'm mearly pointing out how in the highest level, it dosn't matter what RDM subs. RDM becomes nearly useless in the higher levels for the record. Unless the PT blows ofcorase.

And why Mention Avesta ? I myself applaud him mainly because he posted his videos which proves RDM's myths are actual facts. Maybe if record myself tackling Bune in less than 50 minutes you'll have another tip for me, which is obvious even to amatures.

yes but no one was saying RDM/NIN doesn't have its place. We were only saying RDM/NIN does NOT belong in xp parties.

yes but no one was saying RDM/NIN doesn't have its place. We were only saying RDM/NIN does NOT belong in xp parties.

If you're gonna quote me, you odda do it properly. I had already mentioned RDM/NIN blows in parties.

I also mention in the highest level RDM is nearly useless in Lv up parties, and it does not matter what they sub. If you been in half decent parties with you're 75 RDM, you would know there is no time to cast multiple enfeebling spells. Boosting INT and MND is also useless for enfeebling magic cause they will die long before it has a chance to wear off, aside from the mob getting killed in seconds.

Again RDM/NIN sucks in parties, but in the highest levels we can all live without RDM and if there is a RDM, in the party at these levels there is nothing to complain about if they decide to sub whatever.

At higher levels...
- Paralyze II, Dia II, Blind ... Mob is almost dead already, why waste MP when it's gonna die in 10 seconds and it can't even scratch the tank.

-Keep up the Refresh cycle... Always, but it's near usless cause the WHM's more powerful healing magic is on holiday.

-Haste Cycle ... Even easier to do cause RDM really dosn't have anything better to do.

-Nuke... As usual RDM doing any good DMG with elemental magic is commonly a lucky strike. Elemental skill does not cap high enough. If you have the MP for it go for it, but if the PT is a mobile one, it's best to take it easy on elemental magic.

To whine about a RDM/NIN being in a PT is one thing it's not rcommended. What it comes down to is if the RDM can do their job or not. At "higher levels" people need to reconize a RDM subbing NIN in parties dosn't make a difference in exp gain.

On a personal note i do not sub my Ninja when playing RDM in level up parties. But i know i can and it wouldn't make the slightest difference. On the other hand i wouldn't care if my 75 PT had a RDM/NIN in it, so long as the RDM fills in their gaps they can choose to stand there and do nothing or swing away at a mob that is already dead.

lol I'm not asking anyone to worship RDM/NIN. I'm mearly pointing out how in the highest level, it dosn't matter what RDM subs.

It matters just as much (if not more) at higher levels that it does at low levels. When you are lower level, you may have nukes comparable to a BLM and you may have melee output comparable to melee only classes. You also don't have access to the really good spells or abilities a sub could give you at early levels.

As RDM is such a versatile job, you can assign a RDM many different roles, and the RDMs sub will directly impact their overall effectiveness. For example, if your RDM is going to be main healing (whether it is for an event, a mission, an xp party, etc.), in most cases, the best sub choice is WHM since you gain access to -na spells and erase, etc. Another example is Dynamis. Maybe your role is stun-gun (/DRK obviously) or maybe you are just responsible for sleeping mobs. BLM is the best choice when sleeping is your primary role since you get Sleepga in addition to Sleep and Sleep II.

What you sub (for any job) is based on what your are going to be doing. You should always choose a sub that will enhance your overall effectiveness. That has nothing to do with RDM, it is a general rule that applies to all jobs from 1 to 75. I really can't stand people with the whole "I pay to play the game and I'll do whatever I want" attitude, nor is it appealing when people say that subjob is irrelevant. If you want to take your 75RDM/37RNG or 75WHM/28WAR to Kirin, whatever. Just know that you won't be doing Kirin (or anything else for that matter) with me.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, you're saying in reality RDM can sub w/e in a party?

No. If I was party leader, I wouldn't care if they are the only RDM on in the entire level range. You sub WHM or BLM, or your ass is booted.

At higher levels the battles are short, and we see chain 10 very easily. Any support class job matters less.

It's true. and especially true if there is no WHM in the PT. We're talking about level up parties though. And again RDM/NIN in LEVEL UP PTS blow. And at higher levels it really dosn't make a difference, unless the PT needs erase and the RDM has to sit in for an absant WHM.

What you sub (for any job) is based on what your are going to be doing. You should always choose a sub that will enhance your overall effectiveness. That has nothing to do with RDM, it is a general rule that applies to all jobs from 1 to 75.

So at level 75, what should the RDM who hardly has a chance to do anything sub as a must ? The RDM who is hardly doing anything is in a PT with a WHM who is hardly doing anything by the way. Would it makes a difference

I really can't stand people with the whole "I pay to play the game and I'll do whatever I want" attitude, nor is it appealing when people say that subjob is irrelevant.

At higher levels, RDM is hardly relevant, Any RDM can tell you this, so it really dosn't matter what they sub. Maybe you're static is weak or something i don't know. If you ignore that, you're ignorance towards fact will be less transparrent.

If you want to take your 75RDM/37RNG or 75WHM/28WAR to Kirin, whatever. Just know that you won't be doing Kirin (or anything else for that matter) with me.

lol We're talking abourt RDM/NIN which is most effective against Kirin, not something totally useless.

But realistically... At higher levels a WHM/WAR won't make a difference in gain either cause the WHM never has a chance to run out of MP and in most cases goes through many battles without doing anything. I'm talking about average EXP PT to say the least. I don't think that apply to you.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, you're saying in reality RDM can sub w/e in a party?

No. If I was party leader, I wouldn't care if they are the only RDM on in the entire level range. You sub WHM or BLM, or your ass is booted.

You're reading it wrong.

Uh... are smoking some tainted crack? RDM sub does matter and if you can't get at least 2 enfeeb's on the mob then stop <meat> <jerkin> and start casting.
Seriously though, rdms today "wont" even cast haste or backup heal.

You gotta be f-!king kidding if you think RDM or WHM have nothing to do in merit parties. But then you said yourself that there's no point in casting Dia (or any debuffs for that matter), so that right there shows just how 'great' you are.

If you're "hardly doing anything" and the WHM is "hardly doing anything", that's your own faults. I hope to god you're not one of those RDMs who don't Dispel Warm-Up because "they'll just do it again :(", but then again if you're talking about 10s kills as well as never debuffing, I'm guessing you're sticking to Puks only.

And saying cannons never ever take damage, I can't even gonna begin to say how much complete bullsh-!t that one is. And why would you even have a RDM and WHM in the same cannon anyhow if both "hardly have anything to do"?

Barf.

4 DD's a brd/nin and me on rdm. i'll get you around the galaxy 20 times and you'll still be home for lunch. thats a real cannon party.

If your cannon has RDM WHM backline, the RDM is actually rather well-suited to the role of pulling, and should leave most/all of the Hasting and Dia 2'ing and keeping people alive to the WHM. (Any competent WHM can handle that just fine on their own assuming the melees aren't idiots, and can handle it quite easily if given 3 MP/tick from any refresher.)

If your cannon has RDM BRD backline, then the BRD's out pulling, so the RDM's in the main support role: Haste-slinging, Refresh-slinging (not as many people as Haste, usually), Dia 2 (or Dia 3 if merited) each mob at the *beginning* of the fight, keep people alive. No, you don't get to go "look at me and my awesomely potent debuffs" and throw around relatively MP-intensive Slow 2 and Paralyze 2 on 30 second merit mobs (unless you're Hellstorm: I speak from experience), but that's not what those debuffs are *for*, anyway.

And if you go into a cannon party with such lack of perspective that you don't know what your role *in* a cannon party is, well that's nobody's fault but your own. Either suck it up and do it (and even enjoy it, if you find it enjoyable) or don't do merit *cannons* on RDM. Problem solved.

(And if you *do* do some cannons, do try to find some that can do a wee bit better than 5-8k/hr and chain 10.)

You gotta be f-!king kidding if you think RDM or WHM have nothing to do in merit parties.

At high levels RDM barely has anything to do in a decident level up party, and again a level 75 PT with a half decient blink tank can go without a RDM very easily. I never said WHM and RDM have nothing to do, for the 3rd time, they "hardly have anything to do". You're a 75 WHM are you not ? If you're blowing mass amounts of MP in exp parties, then you're tank sucks ass.

But then you said yourself that there's no point in casting Dia (or any debuffs for that matter), so that right there shows just how 'great' you are.

Show me where i said that. What i said is this ..
At higher levels...
- Paralyze II, Dia II, Blind ... Mob is almost dead already, why waste MP when it's gonna die in 10 seconds and it can't even scratch the tank.
That means after casting 3 enfeebling spells there is no point in casting another, It would be wasteful to cast slow at this point, 6 seconds of slow is not worth wasting the MP. Where's you're brain ?

If you're "hardly doing anything" and the WHM is "hardly doing anything", that's your own faults.

There is no fault here, If the members HP is up, there is no reason for WHM to heal. And the Mob dies 6 seconds after the 4th enfeebling spell (slow) that last casting was pretty much wasteful. I'm talking about decident level 75 chain parties, not the cripple shit you're use to.

In RDM's case, there is no time to cast everything on the Mob due to the mobs death. That results in the RDM "hardly having anything to do". There is a natural tendancy to move onto the next mob and not to try enfeebling dead ones.

In the WHM's case, with a decient blink tank there is hardly anything for them to do. It would be very amature of you to argue with that.

I hope to god you're not one of those RDMs who don't Dispel Warm-Up because "they'll just do it again :(", but then again if you're talking about 10s kills as well as never debuffing, I'm guessing you're sticking to Puks only.

Oh now you're saying "if". Meanwhile you're acting as though you're so damn sure of yourself. I'm not interested in what you hope cause i don't like you. I'll tell you why in a sec.

And saying cannons never ever take damage, I can't even gonna begin to say how much complete bullsh-!t that one is. And why would you even have a RDM and WHM in the same cannon anyhow if both "hardly have anything to do"?

Barf.

Where did i say Cannon parties never take damage ? Who's talking about Cannon parties anyway ? I doubt you're even barfing, that's you're childish way of trying to offend me. See how easy it is to make assumptions ?

Now Mishaela...

There was a time the flameboard was shut down, mainly because a vast amount of players resented the flameboard. You for one like to whine like a little bitch about every tiny problem you have with another member, except this time you're starting with one, making false assumptions and putting words in my mouth.

I have to fucking tell you what i really said cause you can't even go back and post what i wrote. Instead make false claims about what i say.

You're reputation status says "splendid one to behold" lol that is a joke considering all you do is nag nag nag and complain. Frankly alot of male singles who play FFXI for a living have no hope of finding that special someone, so ofcoarse they would credit you're filthy lip and treat you nice. Let it be known beggers can't be choosers, you are a treasure to the one who wastes their life playing FFXI. The kind of treasure with little competition/variety to choose from at that.

For the record i don't talk to anyone like this, and i never had a desire to step in and fix you're stank anime wanna be self, until now. Now go tell the world how Anttaru disrespected you, don't forget to tell them the part where you tried for full my head with useless garbage about how said a load of crap when it truth none of that was even mentioned to begin with. If you go nagging about it maybe i can see you're faithful cult followers, who are foolish enough to take a compulsive complainers word.

Ya know, after having to re-read your long post like 6 times i think i finally understand. You just can't put sentances together well to make people understand your point.

Its not that anyone here is stupid (although there are some that really are), its more that you didn't put your ideas down in a way that anyone can understand going over your post for the first time.

So stop being such a hateful idiot when people are calling you out on stupid things that you write when you don't make it clear at all of what you really mean.

Well Makelith. Over here, there are people who want to strike, so let them. Hateful is not the word for it, i'm actually enjoying my visite to the flameboard. Isn't the point of the matter to flame one another ? Have i not been kind to those i've been debating with, except for that retarded bish who needs to get her head checked ?

Anyway Makelith, It's good to get a response i actually admire a little.
