If your not going to do the HW and study from Sept-Dec, it's not going to make a damn bit of difference from Mar-May on whether you will pass or not. Especially considering the game will be out just before midterms in Sept, it gives you time to recover; where as if you get it after midterms, chances are if you were bound to f*** up it's going to hit your finals. And, it differs by class/school so correct me if I'm wrong, finals are usually worth a lot more than midterms for your final grade.

Everything for me seems to get easier near the end of the year than the beginning lol. In March, I am comfortable with where I am for the most part because I'm an excellent tester while I barely study and distractions cause me to not do some homework/try to do them at the last second. Oct-Jan I always stress and it's usually because of FFXI distracted me. I break off FFXI for 6 months (huge improvement in school from then), now here comes another distraction right at the beginning and not even a year later since I quit lol. I will probably do one of three things:

Get it in March and try not to play it at 120% until Summer (because even though I don't count myself as a hardcore gamer, I also kind of don't believe I can "casually" play a MMO lol)
Wait til summer to get it
Don't get it at all

I almost wish I could say no problem that I won't get it at all, but it's more peer pressure that's even making me want to get it. Everyone wants me to play it and I don't know if I am going to be able to take people telling me about the damn game all the time.

Release is a month after the start of school. I'll probably get the CE and wait to play it for christmas.
 
Yeah, in complete agreement with y'all. No way in hell I'll grab this prior to fall semester's completion. Fall's going to be hell as it is! I'll pick this up during winter break.
 
That would be like staring at a cookie for 3 months before taking a bite. It'll do weird things to your brain; you'll start to wonder how it taste, or what would happen if you just gave it a little lick to get some of the sugar...then you just gobble it up and go "Ops."

It also depends on if my laptop can even run it, which is why I'm waiting for a site like systemrequirementslab to have it up there. I WANT the CE and if one of two things happens, I may as well just pre-order the CE.
 
I'm looking to get 14 for a ps3 when I eventually get one, cause my computer defiently cant handle it. I'm kind of glad though that the release date for 14 is months after the PC release, it will give me time to see reviews and stuff and hear what people have to say about the game before I jump in, which I kind of did for FFXI
 
just ordered my Collectors edition at Game-stop last Night... They seem to think the release date is gonna get pushed back. I really want to disagree but my logical side says they may be right.

I wouldn't doubt it, the beta is a complete mess. It's far from ready in my books considering all of the hardware issues and what not still in play. The only way I could see them makin' a September date would be either they release a piece of shit or they start slavin' workers like Rockstar's studio that did Red Dead.
 
While a September launch would be nice I doubt they'll make it either. Although, I remain hopeful.
 
I have a ps3 but I don't think my husband will let me dominate the HDTV with FFXIV ^^ in that case, I'll be looking into upgrading my computer. It plays AION just fine (cept in huge mass pvp/zerg situations).
 
pre-ordered. if it gets pushed back thats just more time to play sc2 i guess =p
