Salvage Gear

I am in Bhaflua one right now... and you start out with all restrictions its very hard
 
blodwood is easily logged in the new areas, so thats the cheapest one, wamoura cloth is not too expensive too due to clothcraft PL.
 
this is the a very good thing. lolhnm land kings w/e goodbye. lolsky gear w/e goodbye. ALL jobs get awsome gears with this. lolpeople that spend years to camp stupid hnm. finally gears for everyone not only for hnm campers. this gears are better than anything existing, unlike the previously released assault gears.
 
i assume the drops for the gear is low, but maybe not, only time will tell.

the whm/brd is amazing i gotta get the body and legs and hands.

the difficulty is insane though, gonna need alot of practice unlocking your characters for this to work
 
Bloodwood is easy? I checked ffxiah.com and single pieces of Bloodwood Lumber were like 180-200k.... Marid Leather was like 110-120k/stack, and Wamoura Cloth were 40k/stack, so I'd say legs/feet would be cheapest.

wait i said bloodwood log is easily loged on trees in new zones, i have tried to logged in mamook long time ago and got a few of them, somepage says they are very rare but if i compare to digging luminum ore in halvung, then it much much les rare. I just think very fex ppl do logging.
 
lol well guess any dalmatica/crimson argument was put to rest with Morrigan's Robe, as well as errant/Jet Seraweels with Morrigan's Slops.

Now do you think that Aere's Flanchard will replace byrakko pants and Ares's Cuirass replace harby for war? lossing 10acc but gaining 7str 14 atk.
2double atk > 5% haste? 6str dex> 15dex?
 
This gear pretty much blows most everything else out of the water....

Yet another set of gear I'll only dream of getting.
 
I have found a new goal for my smn other then getting 5/5 AF2 I want that gear!
 
there are probably some sky gears still good, but as always, war nin only-kinda. those job will have to level BLM and THF now if they want to kill shit, and if they want shit to drop :P. Ive always complained that blm basically gets only 1 piece in sky, and thf's hecatomb 3 pieces arent that great, unless you get relic ws..

remember last update everyone creamin themselves over those barbosa pants? how many of those do you see runnin around? if, givin the scale of salvage, in comparison to assault, to get the 20k item took 20 straight days of success, throw in that ashlu talif bcnm and the last i heard 0/16 drop rate on barbosa's, you need 3 sub sets to make one piece, different pieces across different zones, 15 subsets for each class...no one, no one is gonna be sporting any of this new gear anytime soon. so put the digi tissues and digi lube away, there will be no e-peener play until well into '07. :sleeping:

How is this a good thing and how is this equal for everyone... i mean these area gonna probly be some hard ass drops... and you have to use AP and how is it equal for ppl that dont have the gil to buy the items... and those ppl worked for thier gear and now its just like /drop i fell thats unfair for everyone to start with.... but thats me i mean i dont wana spend hrs camping HNM or in Sky just to be like WTF... <,< but it is some nice gear i must say that these probly have like dynamis-xarcabard drop rates aka like 10% or less XD :mad: /sigh now i have to actully do assulats

Well, it won't be too hard tbh.

You can buy soulflayer staves and desynth them in to bloodwood. You can lumber them.

For orichalcum ingots, you can do BSNM's for them, or oyu can mine the orichalcum ore and have someone synth them from that.

For Marid leather, you can take a party to kill Marids, or you can solo/duo them with someone else.

For Wamoura Cloth, you can desynth poroggo hats or mamool ja collars in to wamoura silk and synth them from there, or you can kill wamouras and synth them.

for Imperial Wootz ingot, you can do Dynamis for Wootz Ore, BCNM's for Khroma Ore, and mine the iron ore.

Unless you, offcourse, want to buy the ingredients or full items.

tbh, that sohuldn't be too hard since I guess the equipment items are similar to Limbus drops. You could gather the rest of the items at the same time.

and AP isn't hard to get... get over 8k AP every week <.<; So doing 2 salvage runs per week, that's still 4k to save towards other things. Not that I need anything...
 
that Ares's Cuirass is sexy.. hell that whole set is sexy. Maybe it'll make a PLD a lot nicer in merit parties :P

its fair cause EVERYONE can have a try, not just HNM campers. Now you think sky drops already equipables items? no you need cursed items wich are crafted and expensive.

I personally approve the whole line of new gear and I like the system they implemented to get it. There is a lot of work involved of course but the same can be said for relic or abjuration. And it is true there other ways to obtain the items necessary for the upgrade which do not involve buying.

Btw Ori ingots have already jumped up to 800k and they are sold out...
