So is his narcolepsy also to blame when he ditches parties to go do other things in game? Because he's done that too. Or maybe that's caused by some completely different, extremely rare and unprovable medical condition.

Now that wasn't very nice, suggesting someone should die. I'm calling for a ban or at least a suspension. Poor taste will not be tolerated.

I seem to remember him being a 75 NIN (correct me if I'm wrong), which being one myself, I don't see how he could do that and have narcolepsy... A person with narcolepsy generally falls asleep several times throughout the day for short periods of time, often uncontrollably and at inappropriate times. Tanking 10-75, he would no doubt die an enormous amount of times and most likely build a reputation for it. It would also take a very long time to lvl up with this problem...

I think there are certain jobs that a person with narcolepsy could get away with doing much easier than others, such as DD jobs. I don't see a person with this problem being a very successful mage or tank.

I have not heard of him in the past as well, which is interesting with all the recent flames and attention he's been getting. Did he buy this account? Otherwise, I wonder why this has all came up as of recently.

A comparitive joke to poison pots isn't NEARLY on the same lvl as wishing death on family. But then again, why should I expect someone bearing the United ls to understand this.

How's that anti-drama rule going with your ls btw...

Not to play devil's advocate, but wouldn't this technically fall under flaming irl?
We don't know whether or not Shel does have narcolepsy (personally I don't think so), but he could have gone to get something and fallen asleep before/after he'd done it.
My two cents.
 
i'd never flame the guy for having narcolepsy, that's a very unfortunate condition for him to have, but in the same context i would not be playing ffxi if i had such a thing to begin with. you have to take into consideration the kind of time you have to devote to this game, and having something like that will get you nothing but bad experiences, and threads like these.
