I've noted how "vets" have been going to their corners and found comfort in select forums. "Let all the arguing to the newer users", I tought they said. But after reading this thread, I learned that we all share a deep sadness to what this site has become or is becoming.

Audino is correct and we as users need to find ways to make this site work. If we really love it and want it to continue. Untill QCDN-XIV is created at least...

That's the thing though, some people aren't "allowed" into the "vet" family because they have stopped playing, yes I'm mentioning myself, Tristam, Stine (I <3 you both) etc. People who had played for 5+ years and have stopped playing do not deserve to be lumped into the same group as people who joined up recently and have started playing and posting. I'm not ragging on these people though, just because someone has just found FFXI enjoyable to play, does not mean that they are banished to the dumbass group, not allowed to say anything because they did not fine it faster.

Do you bitch and complain about new people joining you where you work the same way? OMG HE DOESN'T KNOW WHERE THE MAILROOM IS!!! Seriously. Some people need to grow up and accept some things.

The only reason QCDN isn't how it was is because some people are missing, not because of new people that have joined. People that used to be key have been banned. Why? They broke the rules. Rules aren't hard to follow, you read them and say "oh ok, I can't do that". Do I miss Jamal? Yes. Do I miss Meeze? Yes. Do I miss Kotsu? Yes. There are loads of people who can no longer post that I miss. Problem is, they broke the set rules. Right in front of them. They were posted. Get mad at them. Most of them are my friends, but, I have to be impartial, as does everyone else.

Correct? My ballz he is. Just sounds like a bunch of elitist who're upset with the change of time. There's nothing wrong with these forums. It's a different place, yes but there's nothing wrong. Happens all the time with forums. As soon as it becomes popular there are going to be more idiots out of the bunch. Proportionate to the amount of members.

Obviously, since the game was shared by pc and ps2 players, there were less gaming idiots around the forums. With xbox360 coming in and the announcement of FFXIV, I wouldn't be surprised there are more casual players nowadays. I welcome them all.

This site will continue regardless of being "fix'd" or not. If it ever gets shot to tell, we've got other FFXI forums to invade.
