Interesting information.

Oh I get it so Obama isn't an American he is Kenyan with Indonesian citizenship and the Jackass on the video is the only person in the world who realizes this fraud. God i didn't think it was possible but i actually feel stupider after watching this. Desperate times call for desperate measures i guess. When you cant beat someone on the issues I suppose making shit up is all you have.

If McCain actually still felt like this about Iraq specifically and maybe stuck with all of his no more pork speeches that he loves i would vote for him.. But alas i cant vote for the fiscally retarded warmonger or the Marxist. Go go Bob Barr.

Georgebobbilly asked in the "Knew it was coming" thread:

What exactly is so bad about Palin, I mean I don't follwo politics to much, but I still haven't heard one truely negative thing said about her... but I do hear alot of Democrats saying things like "imagine her as president" or things of that none specific nature.

A few reasons I would not vote for her.

1) As mayor of Wasilla, she screwed up a deal for a sport center that shredded the town's budget. They're still paying off her blunder.

2) Asked a librarian about book banning. The librarian balked, so Palin got her fired. She embraces culture war politics.

3) Has a history of appointing unqualified cronies to positions in her administration. We saw how well that worked out for Bush and FEMA when Katrina hit.

4) She abused her power as governor to try and settle a personal family grudge. She probably wouldn't have had a problem if she'd just admitted it up front instead of lying about it. The cover-up is usually worse than the crime itself.

5) She's a young-earth creationist who mocks scientific/genetic research (Direct quote: "Things like fruit fly research in Paris, France. I kid you not.") out of pure ignorance. She's quickly growing to be the epitome of the rabidly anti-intellectual Christian-victimhood mess the Republicans have become over the past few years.

6) She has no foreign policy experience and shows even less curiosity about the outside world than George W. Bush. She says she has foreign policy experience because Alaska is near Russia, which makes everyone into an astronaut since they can look outside and see the moon.

7) Thinks rape and incest victims who get pregnant should be forced to have their rapist's baby.

8) Spends an awful lot of time trying to paint Obama as anti-American for someone with close ties to the Alaskan secessionist movement.

9) Wants a constitutional amendment to deny gay people like me the right to marry.

10) Her dedication to education isn't exactly overwhelming. Palin bounced from college to college for years before getting her degree. One child is a high school dropout, another one is a knocked-up teen with shoddy attendance who's about to marry a guy dropping out of school, and she drags the little girl around the campaign trail when she probably should be in school. Yeah, I really want her influencing education policy in this country.

11) Joe the Plumber has given more interviews. You can really tell she respects freedom of the press, y'know? Then again, I'd probably avoid reporters if my answers made George W. Bush look like an intellectual firebrand.

Speaking as a Christian, this is what pisses me off. Extremists paint a horrible picture of the rest of us.

And you can marry whoever the hell you want Hali, even a duck. It's your life!

If you think Obama is a Marxist you're an idiot.

"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully,""The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."

From Obama's own book.

Yet he isn't Marxist at all in his political ways. He may have Marxist professor friends but Obama himself is not even close to being a Marxist. There's no way on earth he'd be running for President if he was.

Wow! He's not only a marxist, but a foreign chicano feminist.

I've got three pics here for you. And I lol'd at all of them... mostly because the fact Obama will probably win this election means the end of life as we know it to me. A community organizer for president, who'd of thunk it -_-;;

I will only reply to the highlighted, because the rest proves your point while that particular part doesn't really.

I bounced between four different colleges across a span of seven years prior to getting my degree. A couple of those were not by an easy choice, but the other two were definitely by my own hand. I'd argue that with colleges, a quick two-day orientation is not enough to get a feel for the atmosphere of a school and in some cases, finding one's comfortable area in the area of colleges is a mite difficult.

The rest, yeah. I wouldn't want that influencing education either.

And I agree with this 100%, particularly the last three words.

Why is that supposed to be a bad thing? You'd rather have someone who doesn't care about improving communities?

You must have failed somewhere during political government, because I was sure there was two levels of government. National and State levels. The state should focus on the communities; don't expect the president to focus on little shit. That's fuckin retarded; the president should be focusing on the grand scheme. The overall picture, both domestic and foreign. To think the president of the united states should do the job of each individual state is ludicrous and comical. However, so is voting for Barack Obama. Please reference my sig for a few hot topics the media generally has avoided since it's a liberal, piss poor excuse for a media.

I don't think that's what Hali's getting at though. I'd think that at least some concepts of community planning could be applicable to the Presidency. Heck, looking at detailed information would be helpful. Having a grand overview is good, sure, but since "the Devil is in the details", that's one place I'd keep an eye on as often as I could spare :)

I still don't understand why you think "community organizer" is supposed to be a slur. Not that it really matters, because that's what Obama was doing after he graduated from college. He's done other stuff since then, y'know?

I also fail to see why a president shouldn't be aware of how his policies affect citizens on all levels. It seems to me like that would be one of the more basic things they should be expected to know. Otherwise you get stuff like unqualified imbeciles running FEMA who stand around with their thumb up their ass while people are needlessly dying. "Holy shit, you mean this appointment might actually affect people? Who could've predicted that?"

A president should be aware of the big picture and the state- and community-level stuff. I know multitasking has been difficult for John McCain, but Obama doesn't seem to have that problem.

You're right, Obama multi-tasks well. He did great with managing to make ties with many bad people while doing coke in the 80's :awesome:

And as for your sig... well, those stories have been covered in the media ad nauseum. The conservative's problem, as Stephen Colbert points out, is that reality has a liberal bias.

The A.C.O.R.N. thing is a big flop because it doesn't really matter how many times someone registers Flash Gordon to vote, because Flash Gordon isn't going to show up to vote for Obama. Neither is Snoopy or Woodstock, for that matter. Fake voter registration doesn't translate into fake votes.

Anyone who thinks Jeremiah Wright didn't get 24-7 media coverage has been living in a cave. I really didn't have a problem with the guy's schtick. I thought the conspiracy theorist stuff about the U.S. government creating HIV to destroy the black community was a stretch, but it's not like you can argue the government would never do such a thing. Then again, I'm used to hearing religious leaders spout a bunch of ignorant shit and Wright doesn't strike me as any better or worse than Jerry Falwell or John Hagee or most of the preachers I grew up listening to here in West Virginia. Wright's only scary to people because he's black.

The Rezko thing was played out in the media and nothing truly scandalous was found there. Bill Ayers is a big snooze because nobody gives a fuck that Obama once served on a board with a respected college professor who didn't kill anyone while he was doing all his radical stuff when Obama was eight years old.
