THE OFFICIAL 2009 FOOTBALL SEASON SMACK TALKING THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He felt like giving the ball to Manning with over two minutes left and all three of their time outs was pretty fucking risky too. And honestly, he was right. There was no way the Pats were gunna stop them, there was plenty of time for him to work with 3-4 clock stoppages left. People are acting as if Manning didn't EASILY bring them 30 yards to score, but the truth is they could of gone those 30 yards in significantly less time than they had actually used up. Adding another 40 yards to make him go likely wouldn't have meant jack. I think we all can say that if you have to choose the Pats offense or the Pats defense...you go with that offense to make a pretty easy play.

The thing that was stupid was the Pats use of their time outs and the play they called on 4th and 2. Just run a fucking 3-5 yard route, no reason to just barely run enough/just short of the yardage needed.

They had one time out if I remember correctly. They used 2 before the 2 minute warning. Then the 2 minute warning passed on that 4 and 2 play. So they really only had once chance to stop the clock if time ran out a couple seconds on the punt.

Edit:

Read an article that said the same thing, "over 2 minutes with 3 time outs remaining." I was thinking "I'm pretty sure they had one and they started their drive on the 2 minute warning."

"The miss gave Manning 1 minute, 57 seconds and all three timeouts—an eternity for the three-time MVP—and he went right to work." - http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/recap;_ylt=AhjZ1Z.BvczIcUIHtCvSgzsdsLYF?gid=20091115011&prov=ap

FUCK! Ronnie Brown is out for the season, and so are the dolphins

Yea the 2min warning would have happened on the punt which should have stopped the clock any ways. So he would have had 2 min from ... the other 30 probably. Not impossible but much more difficult. I dont see how they didnt kick it. It was a retarded call. But hey the colts are one of my 2 teams so thanks for the gift.

looking forward to the broncos v chargers game, gonna be a good one, they are tied for the lead of their division at 6-3, broncos beat em earlier in the year but broncos are coming off a few straight losses, while chargers have won 4 in a row, all beautiful wins.

heres hoping rivers can get some payback.

LT needs to step it up, he did pretty good last game against the eagles, but he has yet to prove the old LT is back.

Thats because he's not back. He's long gone. I foresee them drafting a RB thats capable of handling the load, maybe have a 3 back rotation next year with sproles in for the potential big play, but neither sprolles nor LT can handle 25+ carries a game.

Well, i should say LT can handle it. He just wont do anything productive

LIES!!! He's coming back!! LT's not gone for good he can't be *huddles sobbing in corner* he's coming back i tell you.

; ; why do you have to burst my bubble and stomp on my dreams, your prob right tho, LT has done horrible so far this year, and sproles, idk, somethings wrong both LT and sproles have so much talent(when they have an on game they are ON) but they just haven't done shit so far this season really. every game chargers have won is cause of rivers.

we went from having one of the best running games in the nfl with THE best RB and the best second string RB in the nfl, now we got the one of the WORST running games in the nfl and LT and sproles can't seem to do jack. We're just lucky rivers has been able to pickup the slack.

I think Sproles is just fine, but he needs an every down back ahead of him so he can come in and be the spell RB to mix it up. Im sure teams are planning more towards sproles than they are LT.

I still think LT has some values in more clutch situations, maybe catching passes out of the backfield, or goal line situations, things like that.

chargers will take care of denver because ive thought this since the beginning that the broncos arent near as good as alot of people started saying they were when they reached 6-0... just like the giants who have fallen a part so far... the broncos will too imo...

the broncos are a good to avgteam though dont get me wrong.. they MAY make the playoffs but i wouldnt punch their ticket yet.... chargers are definately takin this game though i think.

go bears!!

but.... gogo cutler??? one can only expect 3 int from em, but i dont think he'll get any. His QB rating will be over 100

24-9 my prediction

freakin cowboys... a wins a win but man their offense has been pathetic 2 weeks in a row now... and called the stomping SD gave denver... denver seems like they may slowly fall a part

Ugly ugly Cowboys offense until that scoring drive. I don't know what's going on in Dallas, but hopefully we'll bounce back on Thanksgiving.

Happy with my teams performance! I wasn't expecting the beatdown we gave them because of the looming Monday Night game against the Pats, and we've been riding a thin line lately.

i think we've hit our required seasonal slump. For some reason the saints always have to have a low spot on their season. After weeks of slumping we play like we should have been. I feel confident about Monday night seeing as the patriots have no run game.

Same. GO SAINTS!

Just got back from the game! HOT DAMN BOYS!

Who dat... Do I have to continue?

I thought the game was going to be closer, but the Pats just couldn't figure anything out apparently. Couldn't stop the offense, couldn't get going on defense.
