Different leadership approaches i guess... I flat ask the people in my einherjar shell if i do something stupid or they disagree with the way that i do things or party setups to send me a tell about it... so far... nothing but i still have hope since we still lose t3s sometimes. Now on the other hand the priority ranking thing made me lol pretty badly cause .. yeah. Now on the other hand what i don't put up with is people who constantly request to be on certain jobs... that drives me fucking nuts.

You don't think RDM is a capable healer? You disagreed with the way things were and decided to make a post you deemed helpful, but was pompous at best?

oh and as far as the rdm healer thing... lol GL if you ever come with my group cause i am called a whm hater because i typically only have 1 whm on our runs cause i thing that most of the time rdms can do it better if the parties are made correctly.

The sad part: is that when we were in vent I actually tried my best to be rational with Helius. I asked him to slow down repeatedly, and even attempted to explain what was going on.

When I realized there was no helping him I actually asked him if he had taken any other DRKs advice on his gear. Which I knew he hadn't just looking at his characters sprite.

I just stopped altogether when I had to start begging him to stun. He was too busy flipping out over hate being everywhere instead of trying to control it. That is sad. Normally I enjoy being quite insane and talking much trash in vent.

When *I* am the voice of reason? That is scary.

It's a shame Helius left. It really is. He seemed like the type of guy who would run through a wall for a shell if his ego was stroked right.
 
/Agree with Morwen, Deja and Trist. I usually healed more on RDM than on WHM, aside from Limitless Xarc runs (but only because Tailss threatened me if I leveled /DRK :phear: )

RDM are fantastic healers.

Helius stop saying that you've learned something, because if you look back at your old flames, you know the ones where you get your ass handed to you EVERY TIME

The only conclusion is that you've learned NOTHING or else this flame would've never happened.
 
Any leader not taking well to critsism, good or bad, shouldn't be a leader IMO. A leader should encourage and consider any input from its members/employees/whatever.

That is all I will say ATM due to work.
 
There is a difference between offering friendly advice (good) and acting like a leader when you've never really done the event before (bad) as well as insulting a leader lol (bad).

What Mirewen said basically. There's input... Making a suggestion for consideration, and then there's posting a detailed strategy about something you have zero experience in and inviting people to PM you with questions like you are some kind of authority. There's a way you go about things. And the way he did isn't it.
 
And then asking for a second chance...

Although usually you don't see people cut their losses with a mea culpa, you usually see them meltdown. Which is much more fun.
 
Meh I think it's safe to say Helius burnt his bridges.
 
I didn't read the thread, I admit. Didn't have time to read through it on my lunch break. A lot of the time leaders do take any input from members as personal insults though. I'll refrain from posting more until I've read the thread though.

First, it doesn't make it a flame unless you use names.... Miros, Shadowalex, Darkraziel, and myself leads an Einherjar shell called GlowSticks. Now, you in the first place made the shell go in late because your party was the only one sitting out of the area. So, you didn't help there. After waiting for 7 minutes because of your party (we usually take 1-2 to get in) we raped the mobs. Got to the boss with 14 minutes left, and could of won. Yes, people didn't listen at first but they did eventually.

Then, you go ahead and make these posts. I feel it was a great idea, and was going to go ahead and use the idea, however I and many other did not feel it was right to go ahead and do it yourself. As I told you many of times, you came on too strong. I am not hardheaded, I love the help, I took many suggestions that night, and I was going to put it into the private forum the next day. Ask anyone who has done anything with me, I am a reasonable person and will take anything you say into consideration. As I can see, you did take my PM too harshly, I definitely did not kick you from the shell. You left yourself. I didn't feel that you made me feel less of a leader, but I don't appreciate you yelling commands at my members either and you have no idea what your talking about.

You need to stop acting like this is not a flame against the shell. All you are trying to do is get sympathy. I acted civil about it, you know damn well I did, and you had to bring it into the flameboard. As for a second chance?, I didn't even kick you. If you would of just said "Ok" and let it go, YOU WOULD STILL BE IN THE SHELL. But no, you resorted to using the flameboard for "halp" and insults to me and the members of my shell such as:

So for a second chance? Ha. Not only do I know that we don't need you, but I know that we'd be better off without you.

You pretty much just need to read this Uzor. The insult wasn't in "helping out", it was in actually insulting lol.
 
To quell any rumors of JP not being able to take suggestions:

I attended a single run with GlowSticks before I quit. I think it was their second one. JP had asked for my help since I'd been on a good bit of runs with Gullinkambi before they ... inexplicably broke (someone got items they wanted from ampoules, I'm sure).

Before and during the run, I was telling JP quick pointers and tips about Einherjar, and he took them, and used them.

I won't even claim that I'm an authority on Einherjar; I'm not. However, in speaking with Justinp, I did not come off as haughty or as a knowitall, he had asked for the assistance and I was more than willing to give him (and Miros!) the bits of knowledge I did have.

So, yes, a leader who can't take suggestions doesn't really deserve to be a leader. However, that isn't what occurred here. What happened here was someone wanted to overstep his boundaries simply because he thought he was deserving of a greater role in the Shell.

He was proven way wrong.
