its read "God-Soldier of Altana"

guess Crusaders of Altana is english name

Haha, thats pretty cool how that just showed up just after the other one was found to be a new RPG, at least this one seems to be legit. Interesting name anyways, maybe we should expect super high-tech god soldiers from the far east? =O ... or Valcristiel might get his Mystic Knights =O =O =X

Also i noticed that it says in a line of text there "「PRE-CONFERENCE MEETING」" ... Perhaps there is more about this to be revealed, very soon?

Altana
From FFXIclopedia

Altana is the Dawn Goddess and creator of Vana'diel. It is said that she created the Zilart, but once they were destroyed, she cried five tears down on the world that resulted in the creation of the five races: Hume, Elvaan, Mithra, Tarutaru and Galka. The Twilight god Promathia resented this, and created evil monsters that would seek to destroy Altana's creations. Promathia also cursed each of the five races with one negative trait each, for example, the Elvaan became arrogant. She does not appear in the game, but is very often mentioned and is the central character for the religion in Vana'diel, represented by the San d'Orian Cathedral. At the end of Chains of Promathia, Altana actually appears in some form. When the battle against Promathia reaches its peak, a burst of light shoots down on him and he can hear Altana's voice. Then Promathia and his rage are gone.

Or even... who knows!

Crusaders of Altana(Holy Warriors of Altana?)... sounds interesting, wonder what this next expansion will contain, doubtful on any new jobs, but who knows. Hopefully more info unveiled at the SE Party. RoZ had new jobs, CoP didn't, ToAU did, so maybe they're only gonna add new jobs every other expansion.
I'd kill for Geomancer(but idk how it'd work) or Sorcerer(Mystic Knight) sometime in the future though.

http://www.famitsu.com/blog/vanatsu/: Tentative release is Winter 2007, wonder which area this expansion will take place in. Far North maybe? Isn't the Orc Empire there, and those things kinda look like Orcs wearing some outfit in 3rd pic.

Far North is Gigas.

I coulda sworn it was both Orcs and Gigas, but who knows. I've been tryin to find that fanmade map showing possible expansion areas, anyone have it?

Edit: Found it, yeah I know its a fanmade one, but they did make it using information from the game and the Vana Tribune/etc, its all just speculation at this point though, if it is North though it could cover both the Orcish Empire and Gigas Homelands.

Although relooking at the pics...those areas look slightly familiar, maybe expansion has you travel back in time to pre Crystal War era, and maybe even participate in it. Doubtful as it may sound, it'd be pretty interesting. Crusaders of Altana could fit that idea, if that's the expansions name, but I don't see any De Lorean's in FFXI, maybe Cid can build the flux capacitor?

O.o That first pic looks like it could be Sauromugue Champaign (before the structure there were destroyed?) looks kinda Jeuno-ish.

If they send us back in time, it'll be just like the old Star Trek cop-out.

Star Trek Writer: Oh no, I painted myself into a corner with this script. What ever shall I do?

Other writer: Just get some science technobabble, reverse some polarity, and ret-con your whole problem. Logic and science should never get in the way of time travel. You just need reverse-reverse-chronoton particles in the tachyon field, by focusing the deflector array to disperse a high energy cloud into the subspace field. Oh, and fly backwards around the sun. No one will say anything, they're a bunch of Roddenberry fanboys.

ST Writer: You know, you're right. And this way we can do anything we want, and it won't have any effect on our older products, which is great because then we don't have to worry about tying old and new stories together. I get to sleep more, and the fans will gobble anything up.
I love my job.

In the interest of the game, I would hope they keep it current and somehow use this new expansion to explain why the 4 nations of the Quon and Mindartia continents haven't sent an expeditionary force to Aht Urghan.

Maybe Jeuno has news of an impending beastman onslaught, or perhaps the storyline can vilify those beastmen again, instead of painting them in such an empathetic light. Perhaps they know of something the Kulu or Zilart left on another continent that needs to be "pilgrimaged" for, a la historical crusades. Some kind of "Holy Land" for us to try and take back.

I mean, time travel strikes me as the weakest story. Maybe instead of traveling back in time, word arrives from a force sent out during the Crystal war that they have been holding an area for 20 years and were cut off and presumed dead. They built defences and buildings in the style of pre-crystal war so they look familiar, but aren't "local".

My 2 cents.

Edit: Oh and! Make the boat in Norg go somewhere!

Wings of the Goddess looks like the NA name for the new expansion, it's on Playonline: http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/index.shtml
Has a link to the Wings of the Goddess site. "A tale once lost is about to be retold.." sounds like the expansion will have something to do with the past, plus watching that video on the official site.. if the release date is indeed Winter 2007 it can't come soon enough..gah SE

My guess... Time Travel into the Crystal war and fighting the beastmen of the war. Kinda strange as i was thinking about what the Crystal war was actually like and if players could actually fight in the crystal war era someday O.O If this is what would happen, then I can hardly wait. Although I do hope more continents can be opened up for us like the Far East, the Orc Homeland etc. Well, it's only 7 months to wait, It'll go fast.

It'll be cool to finally see the whole story that this is about. Fuck, I want to take part in that war.

Though, it makes me wonder how they will do it. Will it be something like Sea with a different dimension or what. Doing all those zones to make past story line seems a little big and SE is lazy. For all we know it might just be a few zones only.

Still, I can't wait to try it out.

. _. i wish they some how add those bunnies from ff 12, =P I'd enjoy that.

Wings of the Goddess looks like the NA name for the new expansion

The french name of the extension is "Guerriers de la déesse" which translates to "Warriors of the Goddess". Altana is not mention in the title.

... wow. Winter 2007? That came as a shock, seriously.

From the trailier, they show what looks to be Sauromugue Chapaigne, Rolanberry Fields, Sarutabaruta Fields before and after.

They show several zones after and before. If you watch closely, you see a zone, and then the screen "blurres up" fast, and you see some changes to it. Watching the vid again, it looks like Sarutabaruta, Rolanberry Fields, Sauromugue Chapaigne, Pashow Marshlands, Davoi, La Theine Plateau. So I'm assuming its Ronfau Forest (think you also saw a glimpse of Fort Ghelseba), La'Theine Plateau, Jugner Forest, Davoi, Battalia Downs, Rolanberry Fields, Pashow Marshes, Konshtat Highlands, Gustaberg, Sauromugue Chapaign, Meriphataud Mountains, Sarutabaruta

But seriously, if its in the past, adding all of the current continents again would be a GIANT expansion... it wouldn' tbe hard for SE to do since they just need to make changes to them, but for us it would be like, yeah...

Although I highly doubt they'd make all of the zones. But if the don't, that'd be kind of weird <.< I suppose they could do like CoP have, a "Dimensional Rift" or something in selected spots.
