Ok, wanted to verfiy that before typing anything.
I already voiced my opinion on Valkyr in this matter, I just wanted to clear something up. Bigboy initial stated:

Everyone in the LS profits from having yet another person with slightly better gear to aid them in future fights. Not everyone got paid out or anything, but thats more drops they shouldn't have had and another step closer to kirin they shouldn't be at, which will benefit the LS as a whole even more.
Which was countered with:

you're assuming there is a drop, and if there is a drop, the recipient uses it for particular job during a ls event which would prove useful/beneficial.

And no, I didn't benefit anything from that situation. Regardless of what little reason you might come up with that I did, you are wrong. I recieved nothing from the NM in question, or the God that was popped from it. Don't feed me that bullshit that moving people up the quene benefits me. I don't buy it. Been around too long to hear stupid excuses as such.
Now, I am not in any case trying to draw the attention from this game to World of Warcraft, however, its the best thign I can use as a example for this. Mainly because FF11 progression is a lot slower than WoW progression, so a lot of people in FF11 do not realize how much itemizing and progressing your LS matters.
In WoW, there is a dungeon called Molten Core, this would be the equivalent of sky in FF11. There is also a harder dungeon called Blackwing Lair, which for argument reason I will say is prolly equal to sea.
In WoW, Blackwing Lair is impossible to beat until you have geared up your guild from Molten Core. You can try all you want, but without a level of gear collection from the previous dungeon, you will never be able to beat any bosses in Blackwing Lair. Your damage will be too low, your mp will be too low, your tanks will take too much damage, and no matter how much skill you put into it, you will be overwhelmed. Its just not possible unless you have geared everyone through Molten Core.
However, in WoW, the process of gearing everyone takes about 4 or 5 months, after that you'll be able to start attempting Blackwing Lair with real effort. Maybe even a little less than that. In FF11, you have to be in sky a unrealistically long time in order to achieve this level of itemization. Also, most LS's that do sky really don't even look at sea as a possiblity (on our server anyway) and thus once people have what they need from sky, they leave. Why would they stay? There's nothing more to benefit them there, so, they move to a different shell that has plans to attempt sea. Kaizen maybe, for example.
That being said, what it comes down to is this Arien and Yanzi. If Valkyrs never plans on doing sea, or anything harder than Kirin, and you can already beat Kirin, then yes, you did not profit in any way from the stolen Ulli. However, if Valkyrs actually has plans to do something other than sky in the next 3 years (which I hope it does, cause you're just going to lose members as they reach max gear if it doesn't) then you did profit, because Valkyrs is one step closer to that sea NM.
Hope what I typed at least clears something up.
**This is NOT a post stating WoW > FF11 or something, if you flame me on that I'm going to completely ignore you. Keep the topic on Valkyrs.**
