Weaponskill Changes - Post what you notice

great weapons are heavy and bulky and hard to swing. Take a fireman's axe vs a hatchet. Axe will chop tree down faster but is not to accurate in hitting it mark, while the hatchet will not cut as fast you can pretty much hit your mark every time.

Have you ever actually used a heavy item with brass at the end of it for any sort of yard activity, hard work, or to chop down a tree? Let's take a sledge hammer for example. I, for one, get into a very savvy rhythm very quickly and can rear back as much as possible and deliver a very hard, accurate blow to a stake (using when I built my dog his dog run as an example). Eventually it got to the point to where I could hit the damn thing so hard, I'd drive the stake 12 inches into the ground in 3 hits. I was pretty damn proud of that.

Anyways, what the hell are we doing? lol Trying to bring realism into a fantasy MMORPG >_>

Point is, 2 handed weapons are there to do damage, thats it. Dual weilders like ninja can tank and stuff, so they do damage and tank, which is why they should do less damage than pure damage dealers =P

One more for funsies:

/whm sub, no food, 170~ tp

yummy

I've been told by a very good SAM that SA no longer boosts his WS's when he tries to sub THF. Since SA with /thf basically just gives you a crit, and a crit gives you max pdif (3.0), do you think they also maxed out pdif on 2hander WSs? If so, that could be the modification SE spoke of, leaving the STR and DEX changes in place.

That was covered earlier in the thread. Yes the current damage calculations cap at 3.0 pdif and render sneak attack useless; and that is what they're going to change. The question is, are the going to raise the pdif for sneak attack or are they going to lower the cap for 2-handed weapons again.

Can someone explain what pdif is? >.>

I'd love a pdif raise for sneack attack being a thf an all. That there is proof SE wont do so.

It won't be a raise to sneak attack, but a raise to two hander critical pdif. Assuming there is a raise going on, and not decreasing non-crit.

Very Nice Damage ^^

I'm gonna try to break the barrier where no drg never been before. not even Eleibfrid

However you do have to hold a gun up for certain amount of time to fire which would use some str and bow would be even use more str to pull the string back so it not as as far fetch as you think.

How you guys let the best post of all-time slip through the cracks is beyond me. Good discussion before this started, but romg...

Now, I don't have an osode or a hagun, since sam really wasnt my main, so I was using Onimaru at 100% TP, and I think that's pretty sexy, No berserk

Also, I love how Jamal adds quotes to his sig at least 5 times a day. 8)

75 SAM friend of mine, Dreucent, did 2650 Kasha. Thats with /war and zerk, too.

Speakin of Onimaru, i was wondering how people are doing with that. Is it worth it more so than Hagun now, due to the 18+ att, 5 acc and higher base dmg? I haven't had time to PT yet and test it myself, so wondering what you guys have found out.

Interesting, on what mob, and I'm assuming he has pimp gear and/or merits?

This was @ 300 tp, and yes, he does have merits. He's elvaan and had hasso with str food/gear on, so his atk was in the 700+ range. The mob, I'm not sure.

Hellstorm posts are like watching Yoda pretending to do Yoda.
