Ill be picking up an elite sometime in the near future and wanted to know, what games should be 1st on my list.

The elite comes with fable 2 and halo 3 and know ill be picking up left4dead and GTA4 for the DLC (beat it on ps3). what else should be high priority.

Uh..

Depends what ya like really. Give us a hint of your taste!

I would recommend:

Fallout 3
Mass Effect
Lost Odyssey
Tales of Vesperia
Those would be the 4 best rpgs available.

Call of Duty 4 maybe late for this but still has large community on Live.
Gears of War if you want action.
Gears of War 2 if you want more action.
Bioshock is very unique shoter with rpg elements.

Deadspace if you like a deep atmosphere and game to get you jumpy.

If you are that big a fan of GTA you may enjoy Saints Row 2. I was thinking i would hate the game but found it more entertaining then GTA..

Resident Evil 5 too eh.

I would certainly recommend Lost Od and Fallout 3.

For my taste I really play everything. I dont have a specific genre. As for
Mass Effet > Tales of Versperia I totally forgot about those. Ill definately pick those up as well as gears 1 and 2. If it came out on the PS3 chances are I already played it. Im getting a 360 for exclusive titles.

So guessing you have Oblivion? If not, you should!

In terms of multiplayer, CoD 4/5, Gears 1/2 and Left 4 Dead would be the games I'd recommend. Offline, the only game I'd recommend that hasn't been said already is Godfather II. I really enjoyed it, has some good aspects and fun things to do, and has an added online multiplayer where you can take somone from your family and fight against other people.

Dead Rising is really cheap to pick up now and still one of my all-time fav 360 games.

It plays like GTA, but with zombies! Just make sure you have a large TV, the only draw back that game has for me is the tiny, tiny font.

I had a PS3 then got an Xbox 360 later on so I kinda know what you're going through, in tryin to pick out stuff you haven't already played.

My games are PGR4, Gears of War, Takes of Vesperia, Halo 3, Mass, Effect, Lost Odyssey and Ninja Gaiden 2.

Let's just run through this for a minute.

First off, you got Halo 3, which is probably the best Xbox 360 exclusive. This should keep you happy for a while. I loved GTA4 too but I'm gonna say.. meh, fuck it to the DLC. I mean it's your call but these open world games don't entice me with DLC. I'm not saying some expansions aren't great, but with the open world games like Fallout and GTA I have trouble paying money for the download, let alone the idea of buying the entire game again. I feel like you'd be better off getting an entirely new game with the same money, but that's just me.

But let's talk about exclusives.. well Tales of Vesperia and Ninja Gaiden 2 are both going to come to PS3 with superior versions, though you might find some people here debating over NG2. Read about the differences and decide for yourself, it's a game worth owning for either console. ToV... just wait. It's a great game, get the best version.

Gears of War is awesome. It's short, the multiplayer is worthless but the campaign co-op is a lot of fun and it looks great. GoW1 is cheap enough at this point to be an easy pickup. You can use that to gauge if you want GoW2 for its price.

Mass Effect I just didn't really like. I was so interested in it that I bought the Xbox but it's easily my least favorite of the 360 games I own.

Lost Odyssey is a great game but if you've played FFX as many times as I have, you'll feel like you've played the game before. Nonetheless, it's a great JRPG for Xbox 360 and it's probably the most traditional of all the JRPGs that are out this gen(not counting Blue Dragon cause it sucks).

N+ and Braid are the best XBLA exclusives I think. Braid's a little pricey for what it is, but it's an amazing design.

Also don't forget there are some Xbox 1 games you can play. Halo 1/2... Fable 1, kotor 1/2, elder scrolls 3 and panzer dragoon I've got. I've only had time to play Halo 1 and Fable, both are pretty good, though Halo feels and looks very dated - I wish I played it when it was new. Fable actually holds up better.

I've also been thinking about getting Dead Rising. It looks fairly simple but it's cheap and I can see myself just playing and playing it and enjoying myself if I smoked a lil herb.

Hmmm... what else? Just be careful cause the Xbox community is a lot more enthusiastic than Playstation, so just about every exclusive is always called amazing. There are so good games out there though, but it seems... just like PS3, the great multiplatforms outnumber the great exclusives... like oblivian, the orange box, gta4, cod4, ut3, fallout 3, burnout paradise, assassin's creed and eternal sonata..

Left4dead I haven't bought yet, though I'm pretty sure it's awesome based upon the opinion of people I usually fall in line with. Hopefully I can put a dent into my backlog and then pick it up.

Oh yea, avoid the 360 version of The Last Remnant. Infinite Undiscovery deserves a little investigation I feel.

Star Ocean 4 is another excellent RPG.

I'll also recommend Mass Effect especially because it's only $20 which is a steal for a game of that caliber. It took a lot of time to grow on me but now it's an easy favorite of mine that'll never be traded back in. Also, I'd recommend Lost Planet: Colonies edition which is also a steal at $20. However be warned that it's not your typical American 3rd person shooter, it can get rather difficult, especially at first. It's so epic though.

I'd pass on Tales of Vesperia, it's gettin' a PS3 port with new stuff. I'd also pass on Star Ocean until it goes down in price a bit, unless of course you're not bothered by terrible voice actin' and things lost in translation. It's a great game gameplay wise though, but I dunno if it's worth $60. Just my opinion though.

Mr personal Favorites

Midnight Club Los angeles
Fable 2
Tales Of Vesperia (demo was awesome)
Star Ocean 4
Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Fifa 09

Street fighter 4 is a good one if your into that series. It plays very close to the classic street fighter 2.

That's a good shout. I only enjoyed it for a few days, and the multiplayer did my head in with people spamming "fireball" moves on various characters, but it was entertaining none-the-less.

I dunno, I really like Street Fighter (most 2d fighting games honestly), as in 2 in most of its incarnations, Alpha 2 & 3, Cap VS. SNK 2, but really really disliked Street Fighter IV.
I'd advise playing it first as a rental or at a friend's house if you're into Street Fighter.

thanks for all the suggestions. I picked up my elite today and it came with halo3 and fable2. i also picked up left4dead and gtaIV (mostly for the lost and damned). Ill be picking up star ocean4 and mass effect this week as well

I think you should slow down lol.. You will fall into that area where you dont enjoy any of the games because you have so many to play at once.

I would get Tales of Vesperia before Star Ocean 4. Vesperia is easily the best RPG of this gen, and if you have friends who'd be interested, they can play along with you.
