Finished Ergo Proxy and it was pretty damn good. Though Strid, to be honest, episode 18 and 19 weren't anything to write home about. It actually got really compelling around episode 21, but that being said the series as a whole was very well done. There are a few early episodes that had I been drunk would have been insanely hard to keep up with. Some episodes are such complete mind fucks that it's just amusing.

Next up on my list to watch is Black Blood Brothers. I almost didn't buy it at first, because it was sold as a 'complete series' and was 13 episodes long. I've become weary of 13 episode complete series since I've ran into two series that have been labeled as such and really weren't complete at all. Anywho, I checked Myanimelist.net and apparently it was just 13 episodes long, so I went and bought it. I've heard a few people say good things about it so I'm looking forward to watching it.

haha wait till you read into around chapter 9-14 of the 2nd manga series, its incredibly funny, serious and quite adorable at the same time.

Is that were they're at the hotspring resort in the mountains?

Just finished watching Kanon today, after I finally managed to aquire all 6 volumes (it wasn't easy I tell you).

Since a few of the DVD's were out of print after the ADV/Funimation switcharoo it took a little longer than expected to gather these up. I even ended up buying the very rare and elusive volume 5 from eBay for £35 ($55), but hey it was totally worth it^^.

Kanon was a very emotional anime but also very compelling, and very watchable. Probably one too many Tear-jerker cards were played (very much like Air) but I guess that is what made it compelling. Loved the visuals/art style once again after falling in love with them after Air, very pretty. All I can say now is... bring on Clannad! :D

Just downloaded the live action movie of Higurashi. Hope it turns out to be decent.

Yeah, they aren't anything to write home about but, for me, that is when the story takes its jump toward home plate. It's the whole mental cycle thing as they are commin' full circle and how much has changed since they left the dome. 21-24 is even more amazin' but by 18-19 I had so many things runnin' in my mind I was very much aniticipatin' the finale.

Supposedly there is a novel (not graphic just a normal book) that is goin' to continue the story in 2009. At least the main site had a teaser for a continuation but I haven't checked on it in a long time.

BBB is only 13 episodes so you're safe. It's a great anime as well. The only thing keepin' it out of my top ten is that it is way, way too short.

Yeah it was short and the way it ends completely begs for a second season which I hope is in the works or already out. It did feel way too short, basically left me wanting to watch the rest of it. So yeah, there definitely needs to be a second season to BBB. There's so much that's just left wide open.

However, there are some really amazing short anime series that I have watched. Afro Samurai (only 5 episodes) and Jyu-Oh-Sei: Planet of the Beast King (11 episodes) are prime examples. Both of these anime are incredibly short by anime standards but amazingly fulfilling and creative in their storytelling. I was amazed at how much story that managed to pack into just 5 episodes and still managed to include bad ass fights with Afro Samurai. Jyu-Oh-Sei though is just masterful imo, characters, plot, everything.

If BBB is goin' to see more action it has yet to be written or confirmed. The guy who did it said he'd love to continue the story but it was only meant to be a short story to fill in some time between another project. I'd like to see it move on as well.

I just finished Fruits Basket (which apparently according to Miros makes me gay, probably just part of his secret plan...) I enjoyed the series but the ending kinda left me hanging >_> guess I'll have to go and borrow the manga from my friend >.<

Just downloaded Shakugan no Shana Season 2. No english dubs but I'mma watch it anyways. Hope it's as good as season 1.

My God, I just watched episode 19 of Metabots and it had the most stereotypical Canadian character on there claiming it had snow storms in winter every week and saying eh every 5 words. Ughh.

LMAO, eh!

I bought Chevalier D'Eon last night, so I'll be checking that one out. Suppose to be set in France in the 1700's so that's a bit unlike most anime out there that's always set in Japan. Guess I'll see how it is.

I watched 75% of Chevalier D'Eon on fansub, its pretty good, moves a tad slow at times, but I liked it overall. I just never got the chance to finish it

Just finished watching Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (first season). And have Divergence Eve, Azumanga Daioh or School Rumble Season 2 left to watch from my shelf.

Decisions, decisions...

Finished Le Chevalier D'Eon. Jesus.. I don't think I've watched a good anime like that, that just ends so tragic and depressingly.

Spoiler:
All of his friends are killed, and he witnesses all of it. His fiancee is murdered by the king he serves. The queen is killed. And he has to spend his entire life living as a woman in order not to be recognized. And on top of all that, he's actually the rightful heir to the throne of France. That just.. sucks.

hehe I recently started reading CLAMPS Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, AND I am currently downloading seasons 1 & 2 of the animated series, we'll see how that goes.

Season 1 is pretty awesome, I'm still waiting for season 2 to come out dubbed but I really enjoyed the first half of the series. It actually makes me want to watch xxxHolic when that comes out in a box set, since they are apparently sister series.

Just finished up D-Gray Man, been watching that for awhile now. Awesome show, but I wish it would have wrapped things up a little more. The show ends and at the same time they are introducing new shit. Its caught up to the manga as far as I know so maybe it will continue again, kind of like how FMA is, but still I like when I finish a show for it to be wrapped up a little more. Definitely a good show though, worth the watch. The characters got a little emo at times but not to bad. Good action and some decent comedy thrown in there too. Now I need to figure out what to watch next. Thats the nice thing about long ass animes is that you can just go with the flow and watch as many or as little episodes as you want a night and don't have to think about picking something new, at least until it ends.

generally speaking if the show ends when they are introducing new things, that normally is an indicator of possibly a new season or even a few OAVs tagged on at the end.
